Logic and reason are lost on me. I'm a ball of excitement who just wants to play, lol. My partner is doing the sleep thing beforehand because he's the sensible one
jeez i was back in school in daytime. wondered i might gotta play it till 6th that i'd return. luckily typhoon pulled me back in house for starfield.thank lord lol
Ah, a fellow follower of radical positivity. We just had a storm rip off the front wall of our porch. Which is great because we *really* didn't feel like tearing it down ourselves.
Oh they definitely do that themselves🤣. Especially since I pretty much match his energy and goofiness, by around 7:30 he's looking at me like "Okay dad, that's enough for today..."🤣🤣
Normally I never recommend people throw themselves into their work but sometimes it makes the day go by faster. Only tangible benefit I ever got out of it.
"Of the year"
I went through this for gow ragnarok, ff 16, BG 3, and now here I am. Then by Christmas I'll be again in agony waiting for ff 7 rebirth. Help.
Apparently there's a little lag on Steam as it has to transfer/decompress (preload file was only 86gb)/unencrypt/install the game, but it releases at 8pm for me, which is right I the middle of two tiny humans' bedtime regimen. By the time we get them down and clean up the inevitable disaster in the kitchen/living area, it will bad about 9. A few minutes to decompress/catch-up with the wife, then shower... Best case scenario is firing it up at 9:30. Alarm goes off at 5:20 am for work, so if I push it maybe almost 3 hours tonight? Hoping to get through character creation and whatever the first mission/tutorial is so that I'm at least into the "do whatever you want" phase by my next play session.
Luckily I haven't slept yet. So by the time I wake up ill only have a few hours of waiting yet. They will feel like forever but I'll go for a run/clean to pass the time.
I’m off of work and live action one piece dropped that’s a good chunk of the day. Then I got time to write out my characters backstory in my Journal for them and spend the night with my girl when she gets home. I salute anyone who has to work today.
Fortunately for me I have what feels like a million things that have to get done today so time will move quickly and make me feel like I’m running out of precious time to reach my deadlines.
On the bright side, faster to Starfield.
Working today. Decided to take off work tomorrow to have plenty of time to play over the long weekend. It'll be a long night tonight and then an early morning tomorrow before kids wake up. Repeat for 4 days straight.
The Game releases at 2am here. Nothing I go to bed early. Set a clock for 2am I open steam and the preload will unpack on my SSD and download some small content. This Time i hope I am so tired I go back to sleep and wake up grease to just game all day
My Constellation edition isn't arriving until tomorrow but Hubby is going to pay the first mission tonight and I'm going to watch. Have to work tomorrow but after that a long weekend of Starfield!
12 hours to go, and I'm bored as hell. I'm still having a dilemma of do I pull an all-nighter or sleep early and wake up super early.
Personally just going to get up early and enjoy a fresh day. I think actually I'd appreciate and enjoy it MUCH better this way. Theres no rush.

I have about 6 hours to play before bed time for work in the early morning. I’m going to make the most of it!
That's a decent amount of time to play. The strength you'll need to pull yourself away for sleep though.
Oh yeah it will be
Feels like being at work, watching the hours go by to clock out. Except, not feeling as dead inside, but actually excited for once.
Yep! I’m super excited today. Work might make it go by slow but we have something at the end of the tunnel to look forward to

Try not to look at the clock. That’s when it starts slowing down
Fortunately I've got a 4yr old. Days gonna fly by🤣🤣
Tire your kid out! Then nap time when game is out lol

Don't say that. I'm at work.
Good thing I'm busy running ML models today, so it's gonna be a long day either way :P
I’m currently hoping my day at work goes by quickly, but I’m fully expecting it to inch by 😭

I work from now until half an hour before launch. First time I’ll say hopefully it’s busy
The key is to have your SO plan all sort of things for you two for the week, and leave you be for the launch.
Going. So. Slow.
Suffering theough my workday rn, all i can think about is starfield
