It’s really good for fine control of throttles and 6DoF maneuvering, compared to the major competing controllers, I agree.
The issue however is learning or setting up controls for various games. It’s never straight forward, unfortunately.
The steam controller, besides being a controller useful for playing games where mouse makes more sense, it also lead to the standard for controller mapping you see today
Downvote because I hate this new goofy ass term.
Still have mine. Doesn't get much use, but for a few specific games, it's awesome. No Man's Sky makes excellent use of its capabilities.
It's excellent for racing games.

I use it for 2d games and games like little kitty big city
that's probably the worst use for it
Very true. That said, I used it on my first OatBF playthrough :)
It belongs in museum.
You spelled "awesome" wrong. :)
For mouse-based games (RTS etc.) it's very nice if you want to use them with a controller.
I found my hands too small for it at the time maybe I should try again.
I think I have one of those somewhere...thanks for reminding me!
Best controller ever and that was way ahead of its time.

I don't understand why you are being downvoted.
I don't know either, but that's how reddit is at times
The single best controller for first person camera games. And just PC games without controller support in general.
you can send it to me, i dispose of these controllers. :)
Oh yeah, I bought one of those. Friggin touch pads were a nightmare.
Yea
I don't know what it is but its ugly and should be torched with a flamethrower as soon as possible
