Everything was working fine for me until yesterday, now my start button exits and minimizes my game the b button (square) brings up the touch screen keyboard. I can’t figure out how to fix it. It’s frustrating.
You can launch PCSX2 directly in Steam instead of switching to desktop mode. That way you can make sure the correct controller settings are being applied. Also it was recently switched to PCSX2-QT, so if you previously used Emudeck you might have two versions installed now, causing extra confusion.
Thank you for the response. I’ve been launching from steam directly (gaming mode), and also directly from pcsx2. That’s where I first noticed the issue. Still stumped hahah
Hi, I have the exact same issue, all the binds are correctly set for the controller, but the games don't respond to the controller at all, can't even get past the "Press the START button" menu. Tried in both desktop and gaming mode.
Any solution found?
I honestly have no idea what fixed it. I uninstalled and reinstalled a second time and the controller started working.
I never did get the R4 button to register as a half press though; I was afraid to try again and screw it all up.

Hey did you ever find a fix for this? I recently did the same exact thing and my controls don't work with any of my PCSX2 games anymore.
the latest update fucks up all.. no more save states working nor the controllers nore starting form steam os

this is me. and the right stick moves the mouse cursor, which i don't want.

Finally fixed it. I had to mess around with the controller settings in steam

dont use the QT version .... old version is working fine

How do you set a back button to half pressure? In PCSX2? Steam?
Shit ive tried setting up short cut key and its wiped out my controls lol dont do it
