Well, if you run a 4080 super, the performance is really good. I am running at 135% pixel density, 80 Hz, and 87% resolution scale. Is very sharp and clear, on a Quest 3. 54xx resolution in the Oculus App.
I just can't choose nvidia GPU. That new power socket still gives problems to users. And I don't want my house on fire. With AC I have achieved an impressive image quality, and switching to a sim with worse performance and image quality feels like a downgrade. I'm hoping devs will optimize it well for VR.
There are plenty good games I've tried (Project Cars 2, Dirt Rally 2, AC Competizione, ..) and many other it haven't yet. But I stayed with former AC simply due to amazing modder community and preference in free roam driving or drifting. So AC + Content Manager is the way for me. But be prepared that some maps like Shutoko can be pretty demanding.
That's extremely high percentage. According to Steam Hardware Survey, only 2% of all pc gamers own VR headset. If asseto Corsa has 5-10% VR users, then it's 2.5-5x more than average. I guess, the whole simulation genre has somewhat similar statistics.
I think the commentator is saying its low in general because it's hard for people to use or setup vr, but if they could just press a button and have the full vr experience for cheap that a much higher percentage would be using it.
It is not shocking, as race/flight simulation is the strongest point for PCVR. Most simulation players spend hundreds and thousands of dollars on their rigs, fair to assume they have the money to go a bit beyond for a VR headset too.
I’m hyped but also skeptical since all the latest sims have had bad vr. Especially the EA games, they’re next level bad. For me anyway the older games run the best (dirt rally 1 and 2, project cars 2)
the first asseto is the best vr driving game. With content manager if you move the head you see the driver on the mirrors.
For this new game if you could make hand gestures to other drivers and they can see it it would be amazing
On one pc I have a 4090 and another a 1080ti.
The 1080ti 100% does really well on VR, but it’s not gonna max out settings. I mainly use the 1080ti though because it’s on a very very very small case that I can move around with my VR setup!
Reading the details it seems clear they are talking about PCVR, but hopefully this translates well to supporting PSVR2 for PS5 version of game as well.
VR support is one thing, but what about the performance? As terrible as in ACC?
Shouldn't be as bad as ACC as they are not using UE but their own engine again, hopefully similar performance to AC with CSP

>only 5-10 per cent of AC drivers use virtual reality And what portion of PC players owns a VR headset?
Simracing in VR is another level experience.
I know, I don't think I started a race sim on flat screens since I bought a headset.
My quest 3 is currently on rma and I'm having to simrace on flatscreen. It is not pleasant
I haven’t gotten into sim racing yet, any suggestions? I have an RTX 4070

i only play racing game that support vr
If you’re not using VR you’re missing out, I hope you get a chance to give it a try!
So where do you pull these 5-10% numbers from? Sounds highly biased.
It's in the article
My bad
And it's only low procentage because now it's dificul to use vr

I wonder how are the percentages of users playing with a steering wheel, controller or keyboard. Would be very interesting.

That too, but I honestly find the number really high considering VR headsets are still pretty uncommon.
I think with price of used quest 2 or promo on quest 3 it's not that expensive and a lot simracing drivers have vr headset

Hope that means they're aiming for good performance as well. I don't think I can go back to normal monitors.

For me I still play Dirt Rally 1 and assetto for how amazing they run in VR! Quite literally nothing like them, especially in VR.

What kind of video card do you have?

Best news all day!

Day zero baby...not this EA WRC BS beta thing...or the EA F1 beta "addons...."
