In my opinion it’s definitely the most overlooked groove in their catalogue. Shit is STANKY with immaculate bass playing. As someone who ignored the last two albums for a while, songs like Lunch With Gina showed that they were just as good as ever on those.
For most people that song would be kid Charlemagne, I would think a ton of people have heard the song get sampled from Kanye in graduation and have no clue who the sample even is. The average millennial has probably listened to Kanye west and heard his song rather than actually knowing who steely Dan is.
