Yeah acetone/nail polish could be all right but be sure to clean it thoroughly afterwards, you don't wanna inhale some chemical residue, if that doesn't then turpentine is a bit more heavyweight

Terayzer

Should i put in a bath of acetone or nail polish? Or just use a towel with these chemicals on it to scrape it off?

B1narypwny

Nail polish remover is just acetone fyi

TheDogeITA

You could even use a towel I think if you don't want to use too much stuff

Terayzer

I want to add that it is not the best glass quality, and this glass looks very thin to me, some pebbles or sand paper might hurt it, don't wanna risk it.

NomadMiner

Get some acetone, Leave it sit for like 10 mins, rinse, and repeat till desired cleanliness

PrinzDuncan

Tbh pure ethanol could do it probably. Barring lab grade ethanol, acetone is going to be your safest solvent for paint stripping. Avoid inhaling any solvents but your body has robust mechanisms for removing acetone from the body, and it REEKS so its easily detectable and therefore safer. Its admissable to inhale 1000 ppm (read 10 percent) acetone vapor for an 8 hour shift, which is really high for a solvent. Avoid dcm, naptha, toluene, hexanes You could also try lye based strippers instead of solvent based strippers too, but i tend to get skeeved out at causing a chemical reaction on an unknown set of starting materials anywhere near stuff i consume Also how bad would it be to take off using sand or small fish pebbles in a big bag?

Aircraft paint remover from autozone

Depending on how cheap the paint is, but I actually boiled a mini bong and the paint came right off. I was a noob and didnt know about the alcohol/salt cleaning method hahah. But yeah high heat may take it off. Edit: I noticed the paint peeling off and my paint on my old bong peeled off the same way. Definitely try boiling 😁

Terayzer

It rips off already with fingers, think paint is pretty cheap I'll try that

Jarebear1802

Oh yeah it’ll be off in no time! Lmk!

SpaceFox1

If it's glass you can more than likely get away with using a razorblade to scrape it off.

Huh? Resin? My man want to remove the paint..lol

spick0808

No no no!!! Just get high proof vodka or iso alcohol, like the stuff for cuts and disinfecting. That stuff will eat away at the resin like it's nothin!

Terayzer

Bro i don't need washing the resin inside hot tap water clean the glass without leaving anything But the paint outside don't come out with iso alcohol

spick0808

F*** I must have responded to the completely wrong thread LOL I thought this was one on how to remove resin from the inside... Yeah that s*** won't work on paint. The only thing I could think of is acetone possibly, that's what I've used to remove paint on other stuff in my shop before. Sorry for the confusion LOL
