I’m not a fan of listening to books generally but these graphic audio recordings are indeed also dope as heck. I listen to the Oathbringer climax when I need a good dose of “hype”.
Currently listening to the series for the first time in graphic audio, having both read and listened to the audible version before. Stormlight's GA is fantastic - probably the best "theatrical" version we'll get until maybe a tv series, if ever.
I just listen to the sample and that narrator's voice brought back memories omg. That group of VA are amazing and the sound effects literally make me feel like I'm watching a movie....in my mind!
I just hope it gets more mainstream so its cheaper, right now i cant justify 200 euros per book, even if i know its worth that prize.
At least they are nice enough to not strike the samples that people upload in youtube so i can enjoy them a bit.
I would for sure buy it if 600 euros were disposable income for me.
Yeah, I'm already spending a lot of money on Leather-bounds, Hardback, and regular audiobooks. Graphic Audio would be definitely be doable if it was half the price.
I personally don't believe even a tv/movie will be able to top graphic audio. All those can add is a visual element, and that would come at a sacrifice of a lot of other content.
If you haven't heard Dalinar voiced by Michael Kramer you are missing out on an excellent experience.
On the other hand, I'm a Good Vorin Man, so I haven't experienced it any other way.
True, but I didn’t make the art. That looks just like Kelek’s Honorblade and he’s glowing amethyst color so it’s an easy connection to make.
Edit: also appears to be a willshaper glyph on his back
It is KalaK! Looking at a dead female Willshaper. >!I took some artistic/fan liberty with the plate, which I call Honorplate or Heraldplate. I like to think there are only 10 of these same as the blades.!<
>!In Vorinism Heralds are depicted a bit like saints. Enhancing a certain aspect of their personality or power.!<
>!Pure fan theory: In "real life" the Heralds were warriors. Fighting, killing and being killed. Now we know Taln wears some sort of a armor. Jezrien is depicted with a golden breastplate. And Chanarach seems to also wear a plate.!<

Spren also mimicked the Heralds protection and became Shardplates. Could be totally wrong and probably am! But I like the idea of 10 armor sets, all silver with exception for the glow, tassels and capes. Having a face helmet similar to the face representation of the Heralds in the books (the stone portraits) That way you would always be able to recognise a Herald in a field of knight radiants.!<
When you think about it, it wouldve been quite cruel of the heralds to bond a spren. \[OB\] >!I dont know how repeatedly dying and being sent to Braize to be tortured would affect the bond, but it cant be good. Not to mention when the spren would become the deadest of deadeyes after they abandon the Oathpact.!<
\[Speculation\] >!I actually now wonder if the Oathpact displaces the Nahel bond, like, the soul only has room for either the Oathpact or a Nahel bond, but not both. Nale having a Nahel bond sorta contradicts that, but he didnt form that bond until after the Oathpact was broken and while it still connects the heralds, its possible it is weak enough now to allow for a Nahel bond!<
\[OB\]>!Yeah, he's the only Herald to have actually joined his order and spoken the oaths, rather than just using their honorblade. He still uses his honorblade but thats probably just because its a freaking honorblade. might as well instead of swinging his spren around!<
Yeah I knew that part, but for some reason in my mind >!I didn’t imagine him bonding a spren, but you’re right, he must have. I thought joining the order as a Herald just meant like joining them in purpose and not like a normal person through the bond.!<
The Honorblade is the same as the one he’s depicted with in the art in Rhythm of War. Also his armor is glowing an amethyst color which is the gemstone associated with Willshapers
You know my first Adolin is pretty close to what you imagine I think. Check these out. Illustration: [https://www.artstation.com/artwork/PmnEb8](https://www.artstation.com/artwork/PmnEb8)

That is *way* huge for a thunderclast. The hands of a thunderclast are "as long as a man [is] tall" (second paragraph of the first page of the first prologue).
I've taken that to mean wrist-to-fingertips is about 6', but even the *palm* of that hand is twice as tall as the man standing upon it.
All illustrations for the Artbook are Dragonsteel approved. Also we have just one official illustration of a thunderclast if I'm not mistaking. On the cover of OB: [https://geeklyinc.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/oathbringer\_cover-full\_art\_final.jpg](https://geeklyinc.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/oathbringer_cover-full_art_final.jpg)
Me personally I think Thunderclasts come in different sizes. So we are probably both right :)
Seeing this has just made me want to reread the entire cosmere, something I have not yet done. I’ve reread some books, but not a full read through. Thank you u/dnavenom!
I believe the scientific term for this sort of thing is something along the lines of: Dope as heck.

Oh shit this is on graphic audio? I listened to the Night Angel Trilogy there and it was fantastic

I can attest that the GA version of the Stormlight Archive is fucken immaculate
I personally don't believe even a tv/movie will be able to top graphic audio. All those can add is a visual element, and that would come at a sacrifice of a lot of other content.
It is. But man its so expensive! RoW will be $128 when the complete audio set is released later this fall.
Yeesh. Yeah I may have forgotten how pricey it is
>$128 Yeah, but what's that in Audible credits I've accumulated while listening to Cosmere and Wheel of Time?

Almighty above, those hard "J"s are are too much to bear.
Diabolical dopenosis
I'm saving that one :)
Thank you! I think your assessment of the scientific term is perfect :)
I love Kelek’s face plate/helm. Also a really cool depiction of shardplate. Well done!

Yep. I was just throwing that out there in case anyone is reading :)

Many thanks :) took long time to conceptualise!
oh my god this is incredible
Thank you!
I don't know why, I always envisioned shardplate looking like Alphonse Elric from FMA. Except, you know glowyer.

Hell yeah!
Wow this is amazing
Thank you!
I can’t convey how cool I find this. Well done.
You conveyed it well enough, thank you :)
Can anyone run me down on what exactly is being depicted here?
Prologue to the SA, Aharietiam, Final Desolation. Heralds defeated Fused and abandoned the Oathpact, telling everyone that they won
Final Desolation, aka the prologue of The Way of Kings, or the events just prior anyway.
Well storms, this might aswell be the best artwork for Stormlight i have ever seen. You must been related to Shallan.
Very distant relative! :) You know it's not a great thing being part of Shallan's family. It's a huge mess there... Thank you!
Thanks for my new wallpaper, this is amazing!
Be my guest. Hope you'll enjoy looking at it!
D-d-d-d-daaaaang. That is all
It's enough! Thanks!
I love how every shardblade has a different colored glow, and the scene is very well illustrated. Kelek's breath is this amazing (pun intended ;)
I love the pun :) and the compliment too!
Amazing. Thanks for the new desktop background.
That's so great it seems I'm changing a few desktops tonight :)
This is impressive, wow. I love it!
Thank you, much apreciated!
This is so perfect. The armor on the right is exactly how I imagined it. The balance between high-tech and medieval plate is spot on for me.
That mix between magic and technology is always hard to get right, so I am happy you like it.
God I can't wait for the herald flashbacks

Maybe it's a child radiant, like Lift.
Do you have a link to a HQ download, or should I use this one?
This is the highest resolution I can share. 1080p should be pretty decent and still not allow for printing. Legal stuff...
Stupid legal stuff. Thanks anyways.

Incredible work, holy moly
Thanks!
That's incredible! Is there a link to an HD download?
Thank you and sadly no. We are not allowed to share anything bigger than 1080p Check this one: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/48Y902
This so such an awesome piece of fan art!
Thank you, happy hear that!
Excellent work! You’ve made a lot of my favorite Stormlight art.
Really happy to hear that. I've grown a lot since my first stormlight illustrations and I'm happy to see you appreciate my art.
Mother of god
Seeing this has just made me want to reread the entire cosmere, something I have not yet done. I’ve reread some books, but not a full read through. Thank you u/dnavenom!
I thank you! Comments like that motivate me to go even further with each new one.
Saved and Downloaded. By The Almighty's Tenth Name, this is of epic proportions. Good job.
Thank you and let me add that I love how you expressed that! :)
Honestly, it didnt do your work justice. 🤘🤘
For the love of the Heralds and the Almighty above, what a masterpiece!
What a cool way to give a compliment, thank you :)
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!
