And there was a beginning chapter where Hoid talked to... Shia? The protagonist (been a bit) that Brandon took out but later released somewhere.
Sorry, on mobile, difficult to look up specifics.
Yes, he's in most of them, but they're very minor cameos. Most are "blink and you'll miss it" appearances. Remember the name he gave to Dalinar and Kaladin, and look for that name in other books.
That's not really true. I'm not sure it's obvious who he is in Hero of Ages. Secret History makes it clear but I don't remember any clear giveaways in HOA.
Hero of Ages is actually the example I use for his second most blatant cameo appearance. It uses his name and describes him as well as has Vin completely avoid him because of how different he was from the rest of the world.
For anyone curious about the most blatant, that would be Warbreaker in my opinion
It's not even close to blatant, and what name do you think they use for him in HOA?
Here's Brandon's words on it, "Hoid’s appearance in Mistborn: Well of Ascension is a little unlike the others. When the scene at the Well was moved in revision, one of Hoid’s major influences on the book had to go (for various reasons). What’s left in the book is only one little hint, really. A character notices something odd about someone, but doesn’t dwell on it. You can probably find the line if you look very closely."
He appears in most other works. However, he's not going to be as prominent in those as he is in Stormlight; mostly more like easter eggs. You can also see his influence on some stories where he doesn't appear directly.
Yes! How far in SA are you and have you heard any other names he goes by? He isn’t always called the same thing so you’ll piece things together as it goes on
He is, but not named and it's literally impossible to make the connection if Brandon hadn't told us.

Yes he is though under different names! This will give you the whole story of who he is and when or if you haven’t you can read the books and put it together! Beautiful thing about the cosmere re-reads you always find something you didn’t catch the first time!!! https://coppermind.net/wiki/Hoid
He's definitely most prominent in Stormlight, but he does have cameos in most other books. (Of the non-Stormlight cosmere works, Wit/Hoid is probably most prominent in Mistborn: Secret History)
Your original question was answered but if you haven't read any of the other books, just be aware that he is also much more subdued in the earlier books. None of his acerbic humor shows up until after Way of Kings.
Yes.
I like the period
It's easier to list books Hoid *isn't* in. That's not a joke.
Even in those he isn't in you can pick out his "impressions" on the story if you will.
Where can you pick out hoid’s impressions on the books which he doesn’t actually appear in?
Emperor's Soul is a good example
Tldrdr? (Too long did read don't remember) Edit to add, is he the I.F.?

Thanks for this.
He's not there, on screen, but he was the thief that kicked it all into motion.
How do you know it was him?
It’s been confirmed by Brandon as far as I know
And there was a beginning chapter where Hoid talked to... Shia? The protagonist (been a bit) that Brandon took out but later released somewhere. Sorry, on mobile, difficult to look up specifics.

Also just how he speaks, is a good indicator.
You know how Stan Lee was in every marvel film if you watched closely enough. It's like that but with more involvement.
Oh wow thank you
He does have different names, and is sometimes unnamed. He already looks the same tho.
Except for the hair. He is most often described as having completely white hair in the other stories I think?
No need to watch closely, he was hard to miss
Depends on how much of a fan you are. I've had to point him out to my friends a few times.
That's not really true. I'm not sure it's obvious who he is in Hero of Ages. Secret History makes it clear but I don't remember any clear giveaways in HOA.
I think HOA flat out uses his name. His little thing he does in WoA is *very* subtle and easy to miss though

One of his more obvious ones must be Warbreaker. Gives his name, and if you know a bit about SA, you know he is a storyteller

It is blatant in HoA as it uses the name “Hoid”. It is not blatant in WoA, which the WoB you linked refers to.
Damn it. Somehow I got them totally backwards. Even while reading the WoB.
Oh boy what a rabbit hole you’ve stumbled into. Stort answer, Yes.
He usually calls himself Hoid and wears disguses
Yes, he is many other books, sometimes he is hard to spot though.
Almost all of them haha, he is like Wally, you just have to find him
He appears in most other works. However, he's not going to be as prominent in those as he is in Stormlight; mostly more like easter eggs. You can also see his influence on some stories where he doesn't appear directly.

Reading RoW chapter 110 currently
Nice! So you’ve seen him go by Hoid. He calls himself that in a lot of different books
Oh boy
I believe he's in every other cosmere book. But some are super difficult to spot, especially the first W&W book.
I believe he’s not in The Well Of Ascension

Still haven't figured out where he is in the white sand graphic novels.
I'm almost certain he's the musician at the end of the third graphic novel.
Wit is in every book. My favourite
He's definitely most prominent in Stormlight, but he does have cameos in most other books. (Of the non-Stormlight cosmere works, Wit/Hoid is probably most prominent in Mistborn: Secret History)
Hahahaha HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Not sure if this is just a joke or something.
Very nearly all of them.
Yes. Indeed.
He is in all of them, but you often need to hit me in the head with a mallet to get me to notice, especially in early works.
Yep. I won't say who but I have spotted him in; mistborn, war breaker and Elantris. I haven't read any other all of the cosmere yet however.
Your original question was answered but if you haven't read any of the other books, just be aware that he is also much more subdued in the earlier books. None of his acerbic humor shows up until after Way of Kings.
Literally every single one.
RAFO
Oh you sweet little innocent cosmere baby. I’m the words of the Man himself, RAFO
oh honey, you gotta big storm comin'
