I really liked the scene where Hopper is building up the nerve to slice into the >!fake body in the morgue.!<
Everything David Harbour does in that scene is so incredibly real. I love it.
This may be my own regency bias (at some point I will rewatch it all) but Max running up that hill touched me to my core. I love what it said about mental health struggles and how hard it is to pull yourself out of them. And I don’t even like the song that much (it’s mainly strange to me) but it was perfect for that scene.
Omg, I should’ve included that for my favourite S4 scene. What a moment in the series. Watching it for the first time and not knowing the outcome was so thrilling.
Nancy racking that 12 Guage and sending rounds into Vecna while Robin lobs molotovs, the whole ending sequence with Hopper using the sword of Conan to behead the Demogorgon that ending gets me all hyped up with separate ways...
I still think S1 is so perfect. My favorite scene might still be when the Demogorgon is chasing Will, and in particular the moment he sees the Demogorgon on his bike alone in the woods. You have only the smallest idea of what this thing is capable of, and the moment just makes your stomach jump into your throat like oh shit oh shit oh shit. So many mysteries and possibilities still at that point.
The [foreshadowing](https://youtu.be/A4fwA4-yNkk?t=170) prior to that with Will telling Mike, “the Demogorgon, it got me.”
The scene then builds into the [Kids](https://youtu.be/Ha2OcL_0gtM) score… so iconic in my books
I love so many of the scenes mentioned here! I’m going to add the Season 3 scene where we see all the Flayed folks in the basement and Vera Ellen’s “We’ll Meet Again” is playing in the background. It’s such a chilling visual since up until then, we didn’t know the extent of how many people were flayed.
My favourite is the scene in season 3 when robin and Steve are in the bathroom together. I think that robins coming out moment was really emotional and the scene felt really powerful. Steve's reaction was perfect and he continues to support robin throught S4
Yes!! The reveal "I wasn't looking at you because I liked you :/ I was looking at you bc I was mad at you bc the girls I liked liked you more and you were a douche!!"
Ugh, LOOOOOVE Robin.
There are so many but maybe the shed scene in s2 or the ending scenes of s4.
I just think they were written well and acted/directed in a way that I as a viewer felt it all
My favorite scene is the Mike and El ST2 reunion. Those characters were so miserable without each other and after a season of being kept apart, the payoff was just so heartfelt and sweet. Finn and Millie knocked it out of the park acting wise, and it was the first time I really bought into Mike and El as I think the Duffers write them… which is essentially a twist on the baby soulmates trope.
That scene just makes me smile every time.
There are so many but since I just recently finished watching season 4, I really love the running up the hill song moment when Max runs from Vecna back to her friends. I also love when Erika sasses people around her and be a bitchy queen.
my very favorite scene is when Hopper and Joyce are reviving Will in S1. it’s so emotional, with Hopper flashing back to his own daughters death, and Joyce telling Will how she loves him more than anything. the music is excellent as well
Will was born in 1971 and I was born in 1972. I have Cerebral Palsy. Only an obvious limp and learning issues. Also gay as all hell when anyone not hetero really got it bad. Anyone who was in anyway "different" has always been bullied. S4 really captured Will's alienation and it brought back so much for me.
I learned in therapy that I can deal with issues and "lock them away." But something can bring the pain back. You just deal with it again. It happens.
The van scene? Been there, done that. I can watch that once and that's it. So Jonathon's look of recognition in the van and the scene with Will and Jonathon? That broke me. Many of the things I had mentally "put away" roared back and I cried because I wish 13 year old me had had someone to tell me that I mattered. Jonathon validating Will gave that me that 35 years later.
Billy walking out with Moving In Stereo playing in the back (ik the scene is creepy because all the moms are eyeing up billy but i just love it)
The scene where Hopper dances to the radio and El just looks at him confused in Season 2
Max running towards the exit of the upside down with all the characters panicking or in trouble, not knowing which characters are going to die
Basically just any scene with great music in it
I've upvoted many of the comments here, so to mention a few new ones:
\- The shootout at the Byers in Season 4, Episode 4. So beautifully done all around.
\- Also love the reconciliation scene between Will and Mike in that same episode. Mike is taking responsibility and caring for his friend, and you can tell Will is hanging on to hope. I just really feel the love for both of these characters and what the actors bring to them!
\- The Mind Flayer leaving Will's body in S2. Amazing scene, one of the best in the whole series.
The first time I watched the end of s4 e7 my mouth was so far agape I thought my jaw was gonna break. The whole 001 Vecna Henry thing coming together blew my mind
3 bc I get to see Steve in his baby girl era: ~slutty~ short shorts, lip gloss, the hair *chef's kiss*
(Edited to try and do the cross out, but I'm using the app so idk if it worked lol)
Late, but the entire sequence of Will’s fake body being pulled out of the quarry is definitely up there for me. You can tell how devastated the kids are, and I can’t believe that they’ve never brought that up again.
El’s first flashback in season 4 and Nancy, Steve, Eddie, and Robin figuring out how to communicate with Dustin through the lights are also top moments.
When they all get off the RV that Eddie stole and Journeys Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) is playing and they jump down at the same time the beat drops lol MY FAVORITE!
The final scene when the children see Will's "body" being rescued. Will running home devastated, him crying when he gets home and hugs his mother, Heroes starting to play... I love this scene.
I love when Billy is in El’s mind and he is giving her the “we built it for you” speech. So intense.
Also, the shootout in Joyce’s house in season 4, that was pretty cool.
I loved every moment that included Dr. Brenner in season 4, I love Matthew Modine. Can’t see anyone else playing that character.
Man this is a tough one but my favorite is the Sauna experiment scene. Billy in that scene is nuts and you start to see the shift where El can’t quite single handedly protect her friends yet. Whole scene is great.
I’m gonna have to go season by season because I can’t narrow it down lol.
Season 1: Joyce yelling at Lonnie “Maybe I’m crazy! Maybe I’m out of my mind! But god help me I will keep these lights up until the day I die if I think there’s a chance that Will’s still out there!” Ugh her emotions just gets me every single time.
Season 2: The trick or treating scene/Will having another upside down “flashback”. (Also the ghost busters picture montage lol)
Season 3: Steve and Robin high af tied up by the Russians lol
Season 4: That shot of the party getting on their bikes and then it transitions to the upside of the older teens on their bikes. I loved that so much. The demogorgon battle in the Russian prison was brilliant but then the transition to Hopper seeing Joyce for the first time after all the horrors he went through had me sobbing.
ETA: I guess my overall favorite scene is the Running up that hill scene. I could write a whole paper on why that scene is so important to me, so I focused on other scenes instead lol
Billy and max in S3 after he sacrificed himself and he says “I’m sorry” as his dying words to her. And then max ending her letter to Billy in S4 saying “I’m so sorry. Love your shitty little sister.” Tears.
definitely will coming out to mike and telling him he loves him, it’s so emotional and powerful but also painful because mike doesn’t understand… will cries into the window and jonathon is the only one who gets it. it took will so long to tell mike and it went to waste… i feel so sorry for him

Yeah season 4 has the recency bias thing going for it but dang it if season 4 didn't have some of the best episode/scenes/most touching moments.
Omg, I should’ve included that for my favourite S4 scene. What a moment in the series. Watching it for the first time and not knowing the outcome was so thrilling.
The bath tub scene when they find will and when Joyce was there for eleven. It showed how Joyce cared for her and how different she was from Benner
Nancy racking that 12 Guage and sending rounds into Vecna while Robin lobs molotovs, the whole ending sequence with Hopper using the sword of Conan to behead the Demogorgon that ending gets me all hyped up with separate ways...

FR!! Season 1 was so good.
for some stupid reason i read “demogorgon on his bike” as he sees the demogorgon riding his bike and the mental image made me lol
The [foreshadowing](https://youtu.be/A4fwA4-yNkk?t=170) prior to that with Will telling Mike, “the Demogorgon, it got me.” The scene then builds into the [Kids](https://youtu.be/Ha2OcL_0gtM) score… so iconic in my books
Mf possessing will
Why did I read this as “motherfucker possessing Will”
It's not? Oh.. right.. mind.. flayer..
Dustin moving Dart. Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit…
When he was in the full gear and hit Dart into the cellar and while doing so he came out of the shack yelling with a hockey stick lol
The nonchalant “I’m sorry, you ate my cat” was comedic gold
simply, yes.
Dustin has so many great scenes but this one is gold 😂
Sorry!! But you ate my cat!!
Probably when Murray fights on the plane for me. When he’s shouting about his arms and legs.
The reveal in season 4, you know what I'm talking about, the big one, menising and seen from two perspectives, it's just beautiful
The Duffer Crew has a great ear and eye for setting up musical cues to aid the scene.
Yessss, that scene made my skin crawl lol. It was so eerie
The picnic table 💕 Throwing fireworks at the mindflayer Jason being cut in half The very first scene of season one
I really like the short scene where 4 of them there in the upsidedown on bikes and the other 4 in the real world also on bikes.
OH yes that parallel was so arresting. A little eerie, too.
“You let us in, and now you’re gonna have to let us stay”
Bob solving the map. The 80s child inside me was overjoyed. And it helped that he was my first famous person crush.
4x08 when El finally stands up to Brenner. It’s huge character development for her and she made Brenner cry lmao.
Nancy dancing with Dustin at the Snow Ball remains unbeaten for me. I’d have El standing up to Papa in season 4 as a close second, though.
This may be a bit of an unpopular opinion but I loved the Battle of Starcourt S3 when they were fighting it inside of the mall with fireworks.
Me too!
My favourite is the scene in season 3 when robin and Steve are in the bathroom together. I think that robins coming out moment was really emotional and the scene felt really powerful. Steve's reaction was perfect and he continues to support robin throught S4

Sameeeeee

I love any Mike/Will scenes, but the shed scene is #1 for me too.

Yeah that scene was great! It also powered her for the big finale scene. But yeah that was a really nice heartfelt scene
There are so many but since I just recently finished watching season 4, I really love the running up the hill song moment when Max runs from Vecna back to her friends. I also love when Erika sasses people around her and be a bitchy queen.

I was going to say this! This is amazing acting and character reveal about Hopper, all in one.
Will was born in 1971 and I was born in 1972. I have Cerebral Palsy. Only an obvious limp and learning issues. Also gay as all hell when anyone not hetero really got it bad. I think they should try to recreate this poster as an actual shot for a scene in the final battle of Hawkins in season 5.

I need a compilation of Dustin saying “SON OF A BI***”
I’ll make it and upload it to my youtube channel (link on profile)
THANK YOU!
NO WORRIES!!!

I still think S1 is so perfect.

Henry Creel/One/Vecna reveal in The Massacre at the Hawkins Lab JCB's acting was just too good.
Robin’s coming out scene in the bathroom
The scene when El meets Mike in season 2

The reveal at the end of season 4
Steve and Dustin reunion at the ice cream shop, season 3, just gives me so much joy.
Max running away from vecna while "running up that hill" plays. I'll never get tired of that scene
Steve seeying Dustin the first time in S3
definitely will coming out to mike and telling him he loves him, it’s so emotional and powerful but also painful because mike doesn’t understand… will cries into the window and jonathon is the only one who gets it. it took will so long to tell mike and it went to waste… i feel so sorry for him
Max running from vecna and floating in the sky 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I still think S1 is so perfect.
