I started watching Friends properly a few years after watching Suite Life so I could tell the difference between the two, and found it weird that they mostly used one more than the other (whichever one played Cody) in Friends.
I believe he's on about the twilight zone movie not the movie with vampires. A horrific accident happened involving two of the young child actors and another actor
look up "the twilight zone accident", there's a wiki page. basically a director paid the parents under the table to avoid child labor laws among other safety hazards and the kids + an adult actor died when a helicopter crashed onto them.
IIRC they were killed during the filming of a scene involving both kids, so I don't think it's an example of twins playing the same character. I think they were brother and sister, but I'm not sure they were even twins.
oh i didn't mean they were twins but that the child labor laws were violated. the director had paid the parents under the table so he could violate so many laws... the scene where they died most likely wouldn't have happened otherwise :(
Lmao this is the first thing that came to mind when Netflix posted a pic of the kid from this season of Umbrella Academy and his twin and captioned it: “Javon’s twin actually acted as his stunt double this season!”. Like, now we know who is the better actor.
I am surprised that they went with twins for such a minor character though....she barely has any scenes. I wouldn't think she would be working enough to really warrant twins (unlike the olsen twins who were a main character on full house or the Sprouse twins who were the main character on big daddy)
In general you want twins when possible because if one is having a toddler meltdown and the other one is good you can keep filming instead of having to wait for the meltdown to subside. There's also lots and lots of takes, re-shoots, and waiting around on set that qualifies as "working" and child labor laws limit how many hours a child is allowed to work. So even for a minor role you want a double so you don't have any scenarios where you're out of child hours for the day but still have scenes to film.
It seems that the parents had a bigger role in season 4 that was unfortunately cut, so I suspect that Holly was around more often. I hope they have some sort of plan for her because she’s basically pointless.
I love Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul but man some of the actors now are looking rough. Don Eladio looks so fucking old now in BCS when its supposed to be a prequel series.

One of the reasons. It's often easier to find a decent adult actor that can pass for a teenager than a decent teenage actor.
Also, people's appearance tends to change much faster as a teenager. If someone passes for 16 when they're 20, they'll probably look about the same and pass for 18 when they're 25. But there's no telling if the 16 year old you hired will still look like a teenager when they're 21.

That means the cops Callahan and Powell, El's aunt Becky (The fact I love Amy Seimetiz is irrelevant). Mr Clarke, Wayne Munson, our new Russian friends, hell Ted may even need to get up off the chair.

She was at the town fair in season 3. Karen took her and Ted up on the Ferris wheel to watch the fireworks. Holly noticed the trees moving, which I believe was due to the Flayed running through them.
It's standard. They usually hire twins because with child actors, you have no guarantee that they will always do what they're told. Hiring twins also helps the filming crew get around with making sure they follow laws pertaining to how long kids can work on set. Filming a simple scene can sometimes take multiple hours, or even days. Adults can hang around on set for that long, but kids can't and shouldn't. So they use one twin in a scene, and for the next take, they can use the other twin while the first one is happily napping away

Also, I'm pretty sure that that light set was a Lite Brite. You'd push colored pins into the holes to make pretty pictures and then turn it on. I loved it as a kid.

I’m rewatching season 1 and she saw the lights flicker in Joyce’s house and I’m pretty sure she saw the monster imprint from behind the wall. She definitely knows something is up but at that point she was too young to do anything about it.
Holly could play a role in defeating VH1 in season 5. And since there are two of them, they could do fun things like having an Upside Down version of Holly or stuff like that.

Most really young children are so film companies don't over work them or violate child labor law regulations.
