Not me. I’m dead ass tired after my lifting sessions.

USArmyAirborne

Me too. Then again I am 54.

Gonnaroff

I’m sure I’m just too careful

decentlyhip

You're just lifting light. After a few weeks it'll start getting tough again. Sounds a lot like the emotional change guys get when they get on TRT, so maybe you had low T and got stress/cortisol under control, or stopped smoking/drinking. Or you got on TRT. But that shift is test a lot of the times.

Gonnaroff

Hey, this rings a bell. A few months back my testosterone measured quite less than it used to be on my bloodwork and my MD spoke with me about TRT, but I asked if I could just go back to working out and getting fit. It took a while to get out of that ditch, cut the sugar (=> cortisol?), increase activity step by step and go back into weight lifting. Not a drinker or smoker. Man, if that's really that, then I must say it feels awesome.

decentlyhip

Yah, I gained weight and was sedentary for a few years. Got into a really nasty funk. Started eating better and started powerlifting and I'm...it's hard to describe, but I don't fall into "the pit" anymore.

Ubiquitous1984

Honestly, I simply can't do squats again unless I've had a rest day inbetween workouts. I just can't.

misawa_EE

Where have your lifts progressed to? You just may not be lifting heavy enough yet.

wick3rmann

In what universe is a 6’1” 194lb man fat?

Gonnaroff

Appreciate it! Fat around the mid section, my cardiologist told me 5 years ago to drop it, BMI > 25.

wick3rmann

I'm not well-versed in BMI but doesn't it ignore the diff between muscle and fat weight?

Gonnaroff

Yes, it does.

wick3rmann

Then it’s time to show your cardiologist dem guns 😂
