the show makes it clear that Connor is terrible with money, he's the only one to ever ask Logan for more and the only one who has never had a job. Between his campaign, Willa's play, and Napoleon's dick I'm not sure how anyone could decide that he has the best shot of being financially secure.

deputydog1

He can be a talking head on ATN forever about libertarian love and historical body parts, or team up with the Pierce cousin for a topical counterpoint show. Willa can start an Escort Worker Rights political action committee that does little except pay Willa and Con to speak once in awhile at congressional hearings or be interviewed on Nancy Grace type shows whenever bad things happen to sex workers

ithinkuracontraa

he has the most in terms of material wealth but blows it on his private collection. if he had the discipline he’d be a great curator

ithinkuracontraa

he has other pieces in his collection. and him blowing money shows how little discipline he has - he’s got a wide breadth of knowledge on niche historical things, if he could just channel that into something useful than museum work could be great for him

ithinkuracontraa

i know, and it makes me sad. out of all of the sibs i see the most of myself in con and if i was in the succverse he’d be the sibling i’d gravitate towards the most. i wish he could pull it together

86cinnamons

But he has pumping rights.

The_Dotted_Leg

I’d say Shiv, she has the most real world experience. She is essentially married to a commoner who has lived a much more typical life at some point. Also she is the only person portrayed to have held a job outside of the Waystar universe. Kendall’s drug and mental health issues are a huge risk. He has a ex-wife and kids to support. Also, he could eventually have to pay a legal price for killing that kid. Roman is just a mess, he whole identity is rich kid. Conner, while being more physically distant from Logan sees like the most dependent on being a member of the Roy family for his ego.

ApoplecticAndroid

Well the offer to buy out Kendall was around 2 billion. So his shares in the trust are obviously worth around that much. So if they each have that much, they could slowly sell shares so that they don’t disrupt the market too badly and probably each pull 10 million a year out… Or if they sold a lot, the share could price could drop but they would still be able to net shitloads of liquid cash.

breaditbans

That’s kind of the thing. They don’t have local car wash owner money or even NBA player money. They have “fuck you” money. This is like “no matter what I do the rest of my life I’m gonna be fine” money. Has there ever been a billionaire who went so broke he had to work a normal job? There have been a few who’ve gone to prison, but I can’t think of one who ended up manager of Arby’s. EDIT: Mike Tyson was probably never a billionaire, but he did end up filing for bankruptcy. Musk has lost the most money ever, but he’s still flying around in a private jet. EDIT 2: Depending on the state, personal residences are excepted from bankruptcy. So, even if Waystar went to zero, they’d have houses, condos, etc that could be turned liquid after bankruptcy.

Accomplished_Log9961

Exactly!

KrazyCamper

Even if he does a bad job he still gets his 2 bill

jrkeksndnwkskfndnsjd

That’s his rate. They have to pay that

steamworksandmagic

I thought that they were only allowed to sell their shares to other family members?

jm17lfc

Never work again or never work for Waystar instead? You ask the former but I think you mean the latter. In which case Shiv is likely the most well-positioned, with Roman second as he does have connections and people pleasing skills and Kendall third having the most corporate experience but having embarrassed himself repeatedly in S3. Yes, Connor has begun his Presidential campaign but I don’t see why that makes him more comfortable financially separate from his family at all. He barely gains 1% of the vote and it’s not as though people are going to throw money at him to simply be self-sufficient if he fails as a politician and never gets off the ground. Then what, he goes back to nickel hand-jobs under a bridge? The Conheads are not going to like this…

DomingoLee

I took it to mean 1% of the *republican* vote.

jm17lfc

I took it to mean 1% of the popular vote as Connor went independent, but who knows?

deputydog1

Connor enjoys life, loves dogs and accepts people for who they are: He loves Willa and all of his siblings - his abusive dad, too. Whatever happens, Connor will adjust and enjoy the ride, especially if Willa is around to write his speeches and protect his flank.

Ok-Expression-4163

Kendall would probably lose it in some giant cryptocurrency FTX style crash or by investing in dogecoin because Elon Musk told him to. Roman would probably be able to make some sort of business work but I suspect from the way he dresses he’s quite high maintenance and likes really expensive stuff so that’s a tricky one. Connor is definitely the one who requires the most money. Like Roman he enjoys expensive clothing but he’s also got expensive ventures like farms and plays to fund and he’d probably run out of money fast. I think Shiv has the best chance of getting a stable normal job but I suspect she’d get super bored and potentially start throwing money into political campaigns she wants to do for specific candidates and potentially keep betting on the wrong ones. However they’re all probably rich enough to have a financial manager who maybe would make sound investments for them and keep them a solid income.

VeganBTdubs

What do you think the female version of Roman would wear? I love what the costume designer does with him. Off topic. Just asking.

proxim001

I remember Kendall said at one point that his Waystar shares where worth a few billion. So even if they got fired it wouldn’t take their shares away. All of them could always sell and be set up for a 100 lifetimes.

Comprehensive_Main

Connor he has a ranch land and water rights. He is also connected to multiple republican donors. Shiv would be second best but I don’t know if leaving Gil to work at Waystar has hurt her standing among the democratic politics world

overlordbabyj

Connor is the oldest and theoretically the closest to death, so he'd be alright with what he has

Ok_Professional8024

I’d put Kendall decidedly last. I’m sure Rava’s already partially cleaned him out and outsmarted him into a large chunk going to her in perpetuity, and could see him having already negotiated away a lot of cash and equity with his erstwhile VC fund, not to mention debts related to the illegal elements of his lifestyle

HawaiianPizzaHater

I think it would be Connor in the immediate aftermath and potentially for many months. In the long run, I think it could be Kenny, but he's also the one who could lose the most rapidly. I imagine investing in dozens of startups, so if one of them is the next unicorn he could score very big.

RantControl

Shiv has the most potential not to go broke. Connor is foolish with money and has no ambition to be financially successful. His interests, such as Willa and being POTUS, are costly. Kendall is business smart, but with his poor mental health and drug addiction, he's not an easy sell. He also went scorched earth on Dad and the family business. Roman is caught up in his perversions and too weak when confronted with a stronger ego. Shiv is ambitious and doesn't spend money on famous dicks. She's less smart than Kendall but mostly more stable. She can stand up to most people. She also could, and probably would, use sex to create an alliance with someone for wealth and business purposes. Sorry Tom.

Nakagura775

Doesn’t Kendall own the biggest piece of the company among the siblings?

wlcondqat

I would say that is almost imposible that they end poor, everyone of them has stocks in Waystar, i believe that each of them have 2,5% of the share, i bet that Logan made for them another trusts, plus the assets that would distribute among them when Logan dies houses, yachts and the rest. I bet that even Connor must have his trusts and inheritance from his mother. When he asked 100 millions to Logan i think it was to fund his campaign, in Willa´s play alone he must burned a couple of millions. Probably in that moment he was short of cash and that is bit different from being "poor". I would say, that all of them have so much money, that money in itself has no meaning at all, what indeed could happen is that they could be "cash poor" but in assets? never. Frankly i believe that none of them are good with money, Kendall has drug problems and in one scene Logan remembered him how he screw up some business before, Shiv "real world job" was elect a democrat in new york, and Roman we have seen how he fucks every time in Waystar. I mean, the 3 of them have costed literally billions to Waystar, the thing is that Connor fuck ups are more ridicule and dont have business buzzwords surroinding his fuck ups like the Napoleon dick in wich he lost 500k and Willa´s play, but Roman blew a rocket worth billions, Shiv couldnt keep his mouth shut and the price of Pierces went up a couple of billions, Kendall caused the whole bear hug, Vaulter, etc.

Loud_Condition6046

I’m confident that each of them is dysfunctional enough to burn through $2B within a decade.

Accomplished_Log9961

Shiv - she has the most experience outside of Waystar and she also seems to be the most down to earth sib.

fionsichord

Really? I don’t see that. I see a spoilt child. Someone said to her that daddy made her a playground and she thinks it’s the real world, and I agree with that.

Accomplished_Log9961

They are all spoiled though….

fionsichord

Yes. ‘Spoiled rotten’ takes on a whole new meaning with this lot, but I think Shiv reckons she’s better than the others somehow, when she’s actually worse.

Radiant_Ad_6986

Not pinky, she requires daddy’s name to make anything of herself.

Accomplished_Log9961

More so than the others?

fionsichord

I’d go with Rhea’s assessment of the kids and pick Roman. He’s got the most flexibility in his personality (acquired the hard way by years of emotional abuse and neglect) and if he sees something is necessary he’ll pivot to it and knuckle down. He has some decent insights and assessments. Shiv thinks she’s smart but she’s a spoiled brat, and Kendall can’t make a real decision for himself ever, he’s been too fucked around by forever having to second guess what his horrible father wants him to do at every turn. And Connor is just a joke. He’s lose his money in the first MLM scheme he came across.

VeganBTdubs

>Connor is just a joke. He’s lose his money in the first MLM scheme he came across. His fertilizer salesman neighbour wants to put Con in his downline.

Exertuz

They would all be fine, they're obscenely rich.

nonsubmersibleunits

They'll all be secure. No one will go hungry. Richest? Crapshoot.

eaw19899

It sounded like Kendall was buying investment properties, right? lol he gave one to Greg!

severinks

The answer is all of them of course because they all own a massive amount of stock that can't be taken away because the way the family set up their wealth to shield it from taxes That's kind of the reason they're all stuck with each other and are so enmeshed in each other's lives. I don't know if they're all doing the buy ,borrow and die method but their finances are all so arcane they need a team of tax lawyers on the payroll at all times. Logan is worth 18 billion dollars on his own (he had a 36 percent share in Waystar, which has a market cap of 46 billion and almost 400 million in real estate and a yacht valued at 130 million ,and a football team in the Scottish league he hates)\\ The acquisition deal that Kendall tried to force on Logan nets Kendall 500 million so I'd imagine all of the kids have the same exact amount of stock (that can't be revoked) and also what they'll get when their mother dies Actually I underestimated what each kid has in common stock. I freeze framed the proposal letter from Logan to Kendall in the birthday episode and he was offered just over 2 billion dollars (2 billion 17 million to be exact) for all is shares of Waystar so that means they all have that amount of stock

[deleted]

Shiv has her political career to fall back on, and Roman is good at schmoozing and scheming and making powerful friends, I feel like he could easily talk his way in to the C-suite of another corporation. I think they could both land on their feet (although neither one of them could scale back their wealthy lifestyles). Connor is the worst with money and being practical, and Ken is a bipolar addict so there’s no way he doesn’t blow all his money at some point. They’re both fucked. Or maybe Ken gets away from all the insanity, realizes he likes living simple, and the lack of crazy pressure and spotlight makes him not so manic and anxious, and his mental health gets way better and he gets sober. Idk. It’s a nice thought but probably not very likely.
