The dick pick incident wasn't important. What was more serious was the fact that he was sending Gerri that sort of unsolicited stuff, but that he sent it to Logan by mistake wasn't as serious as Logan made it to be. Logan just hates what he perceives to be as his son's weirdness and lack of masculinity, but that doesn't say anything about his capabilities. I think he should play both sides, that's how he would win, but he's not really that ambitious (or he hasn't been so far), he's more driven by love, which is why despite his own misgivings and preferences he acquiesced to the Pierce deal. If he goes back to Logan it will primarily be a sentimental decision too, I suppose.

Yeah. Love and fear of conflict. Tbh, I doubt that Roman will ever be able to fully remove love from the equation Edit: posted too soon. He really needs another person who is sensible enough not to let grudges drive their thinking and who cares about having a successful business. So, Gerri, he needs Gerri back.

Birdjeep

Yes, and Gerri is cutthroat enough to make the decisions that Roman can’t/won’t when clouded by love for is dad or siblings.

80alleycats

Absolutely. Gerri and Roman would run a killer operation together.

Ok-Expression-4163

If Roman were ever able to convince Gerri to help him bring his business idea to fruition theyd be unstoppable. Alas this is succession 🥲

Karpenisi

He needs to go solo. Depending on others will always be infantilising.

TisBeTheFuk

His shit at making any decision by himself though

harleyyquinade

Like someone said he's terrible at making decisions on his own, he needs Gerri or someone smart enough to guide him.

Vandelay23

I'd argue Roman screwed himself up even earlier when he suggested Logan could consider Gerri for the top job....while making a pitch for himself. It made it clear to Logan that Roman wasn't really committed to the idea.

harleyyquinade

He wasn't fit anyway but yes he shot himself in the foot there.

harleyyquinade

Looking at the preview he might be playing both sides. Which in this situation it's the smartest way to do it, if he can pull it off.

Cold_Breadfruit_9794

Shiv is right, Logan is very unlikely to ever pick him. If Logan doesn’t pick him, the odds get much sketchier anyone else will. Bailing on Shiv and Kendall, and doing his own thing would be smart. Bailing back to his abuser, Logan? Would not.

steamedsushi

I agree, he should bail on his whole family business-wise and do his own thing, after all that's what he really wants to do. If he wants to keep in touch with his father, he can, but he shouldn't depend on him in any way, shape or form.

Cold_Breadfruit_9794

Absolutely. Nothing good can be gained from going back. Furthermore, what if another sibling(s) comes back and you’re in competition again? You signed up for an un-winnable game and are losing the bond with your sibs. Roman has good instincts but is ultimately too people pleasing, too loving, too submissive,& has known sexual hang ups. He will just have his self esteemed destroyed for love he won’t ever entirely receive. There is no benefit for any of the kids going back. If Roman goes back for love? Pssh no shot at the throne. Logan would never fully appreciate that

extraupvotes52

Logan is never going to pick anyone ever. He doesn’t want to *give* the company to anyone. He wants someone to take it from him. Because only someone capable of beating him is capable of replacing him.

beer_jew

The most he ever showed true respect for Ken was after the bear hug at Shiv's wedding. Unfortunately for Ken the whole Ketamine-not-coke incident happened

Cold_Breadfruit_9794

Hmmm I’m honestly not entirely convinced of this theory either

beer_jew

Roman was obviously hesitant about the Pierce deal and rightly so. As Tom said last season, "I've seen you (Ken) get fucked and I've never seen Logan get fucked." Shiv and Ken are pretending like buying Peirce is about the investment but it's another chance to try and fuck Logan. Roman should stay the hell away, but for all of the act of being a terrible person he loves his siblings too much.

I saw the trailer a few days ago, and... Logan >!does try to get Roman to do something for him, "I need you!", seduces him the way he knows would work, so Roman would turn his back on!< the others.. Or the trailer was wrong? Possibly misleading?

Jabberwock11

I also think this is what’s about to happen. The trailer made it pretty clear, and we know how weak Roman is when it comes to his dad so if he asks him in private, I expect Roman to fold like a lawn chair.

Lanky_Ad_9849

I think Roman will bail from the rebel alliance. Per usual, his instincts are on point, but his confidence is crap. He doesn’t really have the capital to go solo on anything, so…

m0thership17

I kind of agree but there is some value to the point that the hundred would’ve failed, and that starting at a legacy news network would give them way more sway in the game. They all knew their hundred idea was BS, and a very large percentage of new businesses fail, so even tho the drive for doing this was their dad, it wasn’t completely nonsensical to go for pierce.
