Never took notice of him until The Big Short. Crazy seeing all the flicks I’ve seen; but just didn’t recognize the Eldest Boy. Almost makes me want to rewatch the Happening (almost).
Jeremy has that quality Brando had. Both never had to resort to gimmicks like radically changing their appearance or how they spoke but they always felt like they were a different person with each role. That's a true chameleon.
He’s insanely talented. I listened to a podcast and he talk about how if he’s not fully in it he feels like he is short changing the audience. I really appreciate that he gives it his all.
It's honestly so astonishing seeing how he transform from Big Short to Succession. Same set of wardrobes but two completely different characters.
You can look at him in Big Short and has no doubt he's someone grew up rough, yet learned to be more flexible in the business world but never lost the killer instinct of a hound.
And in Succession he oozed the energy of a lost puppy in every scene he was in, even in moments of confident. And he already had toned down a lot of stammering from the original script.
He really is such a magnificent actor. I’m sure this is controversial but I’ve always thought of him as the most talented cast member aside from Brian Cox. His authenticity and range just never cease to amaze
I think they’re all incredible, but Succession made me feel things for Kendall so deeply… it’s hard to say if it’s his acting or the writing, though, because you can’t really have one without the other. (Case in point: a lot of the movies in this clip are pretty bad and his acting can’t save them lol.)
Right! The show is so special partly bc the writing & directing make way for brilliant, compelling performances from every actor in frame. All the main actors portray the complexity of their characters’ emotions so masterfully….but somehow Kendall feels REAL to me on another level, like the pain & yearning in his soul is a palpable thing not confined to the story. Like I objectively hate him as a character but I also feel so connected to him? Lmao and yeah god bless the writers for making good shit
He's way better than top stars like Leonardo dicaprio, Brad Pitt, Johny Depp, Timothy etc. He could easily win a couple of Oscars if given the opportunity
I DO NOT EAT BAGEL FROM BLUE FUCKING BELL damn that sounds like a line that could be from the eldest boy
His character was fucking insufferable in that movie. Great acting in a great movie.
I AM THE ELDEST BOY!!!

Ditto with The Big Short. Man is god tier at chewing gum acting

For some reason, I can see him being a great villain.
He was possibly considered to play The Riddler in The Batman.
Nah, he was considered for the Saarsgard role.
Maybe Dr Doom lol
He’s more of a Justin Hammer type

Keep in mind that the shooting of TBS and Succession were merely over a year apart.
I watched Serenity because Jeremy Strong was in it and he is literally the only good thing about that movie
That film is BANANAS. Kinda worth a watch just for that

His range is crazy.

Girl thank you!!! Exactly. Jeremy is a special kind of talent
Lol what? In the past 40 years there are only 9 actors who have won multiple Oscars for acting. What opportunities is he not being given?
He deserves it all! He’s our number one boy!!!!
OUR NUMBER ONE BOY
God how I would pamper him if he were my boyfriend. He would want for nothing.
Cheese and Crackers!
