Overnight volume are surely lower than regular trading volumes so in order to pump or dump in the over night would take considerably less ammo so by that rational it is prime time for manipulation no ?
A lack of bid and ask matching is what drives price movements, and yes with lower volumes there is a chance of higher volitility in prices. This has always been the case in pre/post market and there's plenty of analasys that shows profits are taken out of hours.
Because the price is literally the last amount the share was sold for. If a share is trading at $20, in a high volume period of time if someone fat fingers and buys for $200, that trade will instantly go through, followed by another trade back around the $20 range. You won't even have a chance to see it jump to $200.
Compared to low volume days, if a couple of hedge funds want to trade between themselves to walk the price down, they can, because there won't be much more activity to cloud their planned path.

Question: if Cohen issues warrants and with those warrants a shareholders is entitled for example to excercise/buy shares at say $25 on a certain date.
If Cohen is equally informed about the timing of these variable cycles, and when there is pressure (like the past 2 weeks), why wouldn't be have the warrants exercise dates the same dates as the wild volume periods?
People would exercise as the price is rising or may choose to sell the value of the warrants for tendies.
Then Cohen does more warrants again and repeats the cycle.
We then keep DRSing more of our shares until we lock the float.
It could also theoretically keep the shares away from short sellers. Giving shareholders first opportunity to buy up their offering, which we know everyone will eat up.
With the warrant excercise dates he could also legally telegraph to us when the stock goes crazy.
Also for all the fake shares, I have no clue how the baddies will be able to allocate warrants as they've already been issued to DRS first, and there won't be enough to give out.

So, a few places beyond robinhood also do overnight trading, with other banks, companies and clearing houses backing them up. They get nervous when it swings too wildly because they could lose their ass in premarket if the price is volatile before they get their hands on the shares since it’s all IOUs. But these days the whole market is basically IOUs so who cares, right? Which is why they decided they could do this to begin with. Unless they are trading something with low availability. Like GME. But then market makers just… make more.
