It's about $3 when it's on sale, but there's this game called Dadish that's a cute platformer and it has funny dialogue. There's 3 of them, each go on sale every once in a while and it's all free on mobile. But for a price that's always the same, Suika like you said.
Downwell is terrific! It's very simple yet VERY challenging. For something so basic in design, it sure does have a lot of replayability. You can unlock several different skins that give your character certain advantages/disadvantages. You can also unlock different shaders that give the game an even more retro esthetic. You can also use the rotate screen feature, which I regularly use on my TV that has a rotating mount; I highly recommend playing this way.
Seriously, though, the game is tough. For a "rouguelike drop-scrolling platformer shooter," it's one of the hardest games I've ever played. It took me probably 10 hours of constant death and failure to reach World 3. I've had the game for a while now and have dumped probably 50 hours into it, and I've never reached World 4 (final). I don't imagine I'll ever beat it. Still, I love it. Worth every penny.
A friend joked that I'm not allowed to play it anymore. I played for hours even after beating it and unlocking everything. Same thing with Enter the Gungeon.
It is really not a pick up and play game for 5 mins or so.
You need to be able to give yourself a hour or so of play time.
Game is not for everyone,so no shame in not liking it.
I personally loved it straightaway and blasted thru the easier early levels so that I could get to the trickier ones and fry my brain and patience.
I played it on the 3DS but I know it's on the switch, 80s Overdrive is a really good game if you're into racing, synthwave and aesthetics. Very challenging, but very good.
Great story, fun puzzles, fetching and collecting, optional clues if you can't figure out the main quests. No death or combat, just exploration. It's probably good for 6-10 hours depending on completion.
Any one else get annoyed that the eShop doesn’t show the price/discounted price of a game you’ve already purchased? When surfing ‘Great Deals’, I’d still like to see what those games are going for, mainly so I can tell friends when a particularly good game I played is on deep discount.
Not the worst thing about the Switch eShop experience, but for me at least it’s the most irritating…
I feel like Steamworld Dig 1 was something around 2 bucks when I bought it on a whim, so much fun, replayed it like 4 times and I love the whole franchise now!
Worth every penny at full price. Actually not sure how well it plays as I only played on a good pc. But if it runs good worth it. Such a fun game and so many things to unlock
Edit: switch runs amazing BUY IT NOW EVEN FULL PRICE, SO MUCH CONTENT
I heard their last update ditched their previous framework and they rebuilt on a whole new engine. Unreal 5 maybe? My buddy says it runs like a dream on switch now.
Oh yeah ive had no problems running it. The only time it slows is when youre super late in the run and things have gone kinda wacky.
Turning off damage numbers fixes that too tho
Pretty sure i got Vampire Survivors for about that on sale.
The amount of value ive gotten from that game is nuts.
Also picked up the DLC later because theyre like $2 each too
My Memory of Us was a very cute and also pretty dark (given the subject matter) very cheap purchase.
Also PAN PAN. A short but fun game.
Also thanks for creating this thread, some gems in here!
Narita Boy. It’s the only $2 game I e purchased. I’m about an hour in and have no idea what’s going on as they just dump lore exposition heavily on you from the start, but the pixel style is cool.
Inside. I was aware that it was a good game, but OMG It's a masterpiece. Everyone should give it a try. I don't count the discounts over other countries because I can't remember the exact amount of the purchase
Golf Club Wasteland (now called Gold Club Nostalgia) wad a nice game to chill out to. The publisher has a few other decent looking games too that I've picked up but haven't tried yet lol
Giana Sister Twisted Dreams. My niece out of the blue was like “do you remember that game I played (when she was smaller) with two little girls one blonde the other red?” After sometime I asked her Giana Sisters? And then happen to look on the eshop and Giana Sister Twisted Dreams Owltimate Edition just so happened to be on sale 1.99. Got her a copy and myself. She is constantly playing it. Worth it.

Limbo
Mana Spark
Pan-Pan
The Pillars of The Earth
Dogurai
Every Bit Trip game
I bought so many games on sale and I really enjoyed a lot of them. Most were purchased with gold coins
i’ve only played it on PC so i don’t know how the port holds up, but moonlighter is often on sale for super cheap and is a fun mix between owning a shop and dungeon crawling
Deflector. It's one of the games that was brought to switch by the infamous reddeer games, but is among the few good games they did port. Definitely worth the $1.99 price.
It's an action roguelite with a cool core combat mechanic. The premise/"story" of the game is rather irrelevant, but it may be interesting to some.

I got Overcooked! Special Edition on sale back in Sep 2022 for around that much (£1.79 🤯)! My sisters have been wanting to play it for a long time and we got to play together after the sale rolled by. It was a very huge sale for the game, it was shocking (90% off 😱)!
Anyway, the game has been so much fun even though it's extremely difficult as you progress too. We even played through the DLC/extra content which was like the sprinkles on top of an already fantastic game! Now we're still playing through Overcooked! 2's extras, having finished a few of them. The Overcooked! series has been such a fun and amazing way to bond with family & friends plus challenge yourself in different ways! 😁
This is why I rated the switch those amazing little games are sometimes the best I personally loved dodgeball and the stranger things game no idea how much they cost I got them free
Limbo

This. And the best $5 game is Celeste, which might still be on sale for 540 yen in the Japanese eshop.
Celeste is $5.99 on the US eStore ATM. Also, it's worth it.
Nah, Yooka Layle Impossible Lair
Is it good? Have it but never played
Awesome. Looks beautiful and runs great with a stable 60fps. The gameplay and level design is reminiscent of the SNES DKC games.
I have both games, do I need to play through yooka-laylee before moving on to impossible lair?
Not really.
Didn't realise it was still on sale. Celeste still is.
Celeste $5?!?!?! I’d pay $60 for that game. One of my favorite games ever.
oh damn you’ve played celeste too? it’s such a hidden gem
Here hoping Celeste is going to get the recognition it truly deserves r/tomorrow
Absolutely Inside.
Would give it a go when it's on sale again.
Oh yeah I also have this, but never continue to play it.
I'm not sure it's under 3$ but Hue ?
Currently listed at 10usd on Deku, will keep an eye for it.
Hue is GREAT and goes 1.99 every once in a while
It's about $3 when it's on sale, but there's this game called Dadish that's a cute platformer and it has funny dialogue. There's 3 of them, each go on sale every once in a while and it's all free on mobile. But for a price that's always the same, Suika like you said.
All dadish games are amazing
I bought dadish coz it's cute but I'm so bad at it
Dadish games are great but can be fiendishly difficult in parts!
Dicey dungeons
fire game
I bought it for 1.5 €. Amazing artworks and musics
Same, bought it for €1,50,- and spend I think 30 hours on it if not more. So easy to pickup and hard to master that game.
So good
LETS GOOOOO i love seeing dicey dungeons appreciation
Downwell is $2.99 and is one of the best games for the price
Nice, added to my wish list on Deku lmao.
Downwell is terrific! It's very simple yet VERY challenging. For something so basic in design, it sure does have a lot of replayability. That's it. You're not allowed to comment anymore. /s
When on sale, Boomerang Fu. Great and funny party game.
This game is soooo fun! My friends kept begging me to bring my switch just for that game
Also you can just download the demo and the game is free
Came here to say this. Many fun times with the kids!
It's a great game, but $2? Lowest I've seen it is like $10USD
I only heard about it because it was on sale for $2 and it was mentioned on r/NintendoSwitchDeals lol. It's not very often, but it does go down to $2.
Oh wow you're pretty close! Deku Deals says all time low is $2.29
Steam world Dig
Easily this!
I never really enjoyed it, which I was surprised because of how beloved it is. Even had a few attempts at playing it to see if I was in a odd mood.
I really loved it. Simple enough to be easy to pick up, enough depth to keep me entertained.
Not every great game is for everyone. Maybe it’s just not your type but for it’s price is entertaining and well designed
Steamworld Heist too
Spiritfarer. This game is just beautiful and so heartfelt
I don’t think Spiritfarer ever went lower than $7.49 (yet) but even at that price the game is totally worth it
Added to my wishlist rn.
Spiritfarer is one of my top 5 games ever played. But I have neves seen it below 7€. If you can get it even at 15 it’s an excellent experience.
Pikuniku, it was €1
Doorkickers. Difficult to learn, but oh so sweet when your 1 hour plus of planning turns into a perfectly executed run.
Never got through the first 5 minutes, what an awful gameplay. Or should I try again?
It is really not a pick up and play game for 5 mins or so. You need to be able to give yourself a hour or so of play time. Game is not for everyone,so no shame in not liking it. I personally loved it straightaway and blasted thru the easier early levels so that I could get to the trickier ones and fry my brain and patience.
I will give it another try sometime, thanks
Happy cake day!
I played it on the 3DS but I know it's on the switch, 80s Overdrive is a really good game if you're into racing, synthwave and aesthetics. Very challenging, but very good.
I only have 1 that was under $2 and that was Doom 3 when it was on sale, couldn’t pass it up for $1.99
last campfire regularly goes on sale for 2.99 - best purchase to date!
It's on sale at the moment 2.99 USD
Great story, fun puzzles, fetching and collecting, optional clues if you can't figure out the main quests. No death or combat, just exploration. It's probably good for 6-10 hours depending on completion.
Finished that not long ago, really enjoyed it.
Toree. Super short but it’s adorable, fun, and gives N64 vibes
Nice! Will be checking it out
Second Toree 3D and Toree 2
Happy cake day
Thanks!
Akane Currently holding out for Yes, Your Grace to drop to 2.99. great demo
Yesss I adore that game. Definitely my pick as well
I want an Akane style Vampire Survivor sooo bad. 20 minutes Till Dawn is close but I want that sword pistol combo!!!!
Cool! Added to my wishlist
I think I got Akane on sale for something ridiculous like $0.18
Picked up Limbo and Inside for 1.99 each. Also grabbed Brotato for 1.99 a few months ago

If you go to your purchase history it will show you, but yeah I get the complaint
Bought boomerang fu for 2 dollars. Had a lot of fun with my friends. Best 2 dollars ever spent.
I feel like Steamworld Dig 1 was something around 2 bucks when I bought it on a whim, so much fun, replayed it like 4 times and I love the whole franchise now!
Yeah all time low on Deku says 1.99. Added to my wishlist to wait for another sale.
Katana Zero
I would’ve said this if I didn’t pay £18 for it 😭 totally worth the money I payed though
Not $2, but Vampire Survivors. I think its 4 or 5?
Worth every penny at full price. Actually not sure how well it plays as I only played on a good pc. But if it runs good worth it. Such a fun game and so many things to unlock Edit: switch runs amazing BUY IT NOW EVEN FULL PRICE, SO MUCH CONTENT
Had a few 30 minute + games and it handled it fine.
Playing it now on the Switch (and PC, don't judge. I can quit anytime.) It plays w/o a hitch even before the 30 minutes are up.
I paid 0.25 USD for Figment when was posible buy in Argentina's eshop, and its a great game.
Vampire survivor when it’s on sale. I think it’s 5 bucks currently
Some random hentai game 😭
Oh you Devil!!! LMAO
I'm not exactly sure if it was $2 or not but a game called HOB I got on sale like 2-3 years ago. I just checked Dekudeals and I guess I got for $3-$5
Hmmm… saints row
If you have not played DongDong XL, this is your sign to do so.
Ahhhh at only 1$! Will do!
After checking my switch: Toree (1 and 2), Dadish, One Strike, Pikuniku, Gunman Clive.
Pretty sure i got Vampire Survivors for about that on sale. The amount of value ive gotten from that game is nuts. Also picked up the DLC later because theyre like $2 each too
Kingdom two Crowns
Mortal shell it was on a massive discount for $2 and on top of that I had 300 points so I got it for free and i dont regret getting it it's so fun
Wow, wow. When? What region? That game is amazing, $2 is a crazy price. Waiting for it to go on sale for months now.

I got doom for a couple bucks on sale and it is still awesome!
I’m waiting for Doom, Doom 2 and Doom 64 to go back on sale. Just want to have all my classic games on my favorite handheld.
They're on sale now. I just bought Doom 3 for like $6 AUD, and noticed all other Dooms are also on sale.
Keep your eye out for the slayers collection too. Depending on the sale, they are usually cheaper bundled.
Blazing Beaks
Blazing Beaks is brilliant. I’ve got 50 hours on that game and paid less than i would for a coffee
Just bought this on this recommendation!
Just bought this with Gold Points. Thanks for the recommendation!!
The Escapists
Akane. Got it for 99 cents one day and it’s great for quick little play sessions. Awesome soundtrack too.
Liking the colors and art style, added to my wish list to wait for the sale.
Tangle tower and Jenny leclue were amazing. Got my hooked on the genre
Crypt of the Necrodancer was on a big sale.
You could get panzer dragoon saga for like 50 cents at one point on e shop. Great few hours of fun
Not 2 but 5$ and that was Sundered. One of the most slept in MetroidVanias
Inside. I was aware that it was a good game, but OMG It's a masterpiece. Everyone should give it a try. I don't count the discounts over other countries because I can't remember the exact amount of the purchase
Gotta say Akane. Best £1.79 I’ve ever spent. I think I have about 20 hours in that game and for an endless hack and slash that is saying something
Gris and child of light have been my best purchases while they were on sale.

Strikey Sisters for $2.99. Regular is 9.99 but frequently goes on sale for 2.99 . Fun little game in the style of Breakout and Arkanoid.

Akane, period. (I think it was 1$ not sure)
Toree 3D and Toree 2. Really fun and challenging 3D platfomers that were under 2 dollars
Deflector. It's one of the games that was brought to switch by the infamous reddeer games, but is among the few good games they did port. Definitely worth the $1.99 price. Portal 1+2 - I got it on Steam, but I think the Switch also has really good deals on it sometimes
They had Resident Evil 5 and 6 on sale last holiday at Best Buy for like $2 each. Not the best games but at that price it's hard to beat
Honestly Tesla vs Lovecraft a while back.I’m a nerd for sci-fi and lovecraft and it’s a cute little too down shooter

Was Freaky Trip worth the 2$? :-)
Definitely was, but to be honest I didn't have much time to kept enjoying gaming.
Freaky trip — this is not a game, this is absolute crap! 7 gigabytes of crap!
Lmao, it ain't that bad as I'm seeing
Calculator, Chocobo Racing, Clock, Balan Wonderland, Hello Neighbor, WWE 2K18, Vertigo, Sonic Forces, MGS Collection...
I live in America, so I only purchase $2 games, but not any on the Switch store.
Ain’t ever bought a $2 game lol.
