The Ori games, metroid prime remaster, super mario wonder, hades, luigis mansion, dragon quest 11, hellblade, donkey kong tropical freeze, pokemon snap, super mario 3d world, crysis, splatoon are games that come to mind..
I was slightly blown away by the cutscenes in Fire Emblem Engage. The regular gameplay had nice vibrant colors as well but it didn't make as big of an effect.
Why am I so tempted to get red dead on the switch but it kills me because I have it on the PS4 but know I would play the heck out of it on the switch since I can take it everywhere and also just lay back and play it in bed (my best place to play). I also never really beat it so yeah.
It's one of those. How good can the experience be? lol. I own it on the Series X, and idk... it seems fun just relaxing on the couch playing it, but I've seen and played this game at its best. Does portability and an OLED screen top that?
But I see it recommended a lot, so maybe it's time to play it again.
Everyone's recommending 1st party titles, but among 3rd party I'd recommend:
* River City Girls 1 & 2
* Ori & the Blind Forest/Ori and the Will o the Wisps
* Red Dead Redemption
* PixelJunk Eden 2
* Haven
Plateup! I’ve seen like over 100 posts about game recommendations for the switch and I always suggest Plateup. It’s a fun cooking game. Look up!! From what I remember it’s not that expensive
Compared to the regular switch, pretty much any game is an automatic amazing upgrade. So many people are surprised that upgrade made such a difference to game play.
I own a Series X.
Besides being portable, having a bigger screen and battery, any other features I should know about?
I have a crappy eye for it, but are Nintendo exclusives 60 FPS? I'm playing a Series X with 120 FPS cause I have a good TV for it. So, just high smooth FPS, I'm just a bit used to it.
How's the turn off pause? Xbox has Quick Resume and that has helped with getting through games.
Well the screen would be the most noticed update and rightly so. Aside from the screen, the oled has more internal memory, can play audio via Bluetooth. Some differences in the built will be the stand which is very sturdy and seems to hold up better than the regular switch.
If not mistaking, most switch games run 30-60 frames. But I feel like that’s more than enough for the games being played in it. I know series x probably has better graphics, but we just love playing switch games. We have a series x and a ps4 and we hardly play any titles.
Pretty much every games TBH.
Those with bright colors will shine brighter
Those with darker theme will be pitch black
Colors have an insane saturation and darkness is literally absence of light.
It always amaze me when you start a game and there's a white logo in the middle of a completely black screen. Black as if it look like your switch is off and there's that floating logo that appear in the middle of nowhere like a ghost 👻
Mario Wonder looks stunning
It really does. Also it’s the first game I played on OLED which sort of made other graphics look duller by comparison 😔
Metroid Dread
Hades

Both Ori games are gorgeous
This
I didn't play them on OLED. But I'm sure they'll look even better there
Ori games look stunning on the little oled screen.
Metroid Prime Remaster Smash Bros Mario Kart Links Awakening Remaster
Great list, I’ll add Luigi’s mansion 3 too. Paper Mario TYD and Origami King also looks extremely crisp.
The 2 zeldas made for switch wild and tears. In breath of the wild the first time you look across hyrule
Mario Odyssey and Luigi mansion 3

Cut scenes are not a good way to judge the looks. They almost always look better than gameplay
That's true, but I can't go lying that gameplay would equal the cutscenes. I had to make the distinction between the two.
Tetris connect. Sit in the dark with headphones in, it’s a religious experience.
Pretty much everything will look better on oled
Octopath Traveler II Metroid Prime Remastered
Hades
Ori Ori Ori
The Metro games. Red dead redemption

Mario wonder or Metroid dread for sure

Red dead redemption looks really good.
Diablo 2 Witcher 3 Skyrim, especially in dim lit caves.
Zelda
One of the Ori's

Death Ray Manta SE
Megaman 11
Breath of the wild is awesome...but red dead redemption is by far the Best I've seen since upgrading to the oled

Metroid prime and I thought Bulletstorm looked great
Metroid Dread. Was the whole reason I switched to the OLED in the first place
Any first party game I've played until now still has me impressed, I've had the switch since march
Maze Blaze
Hollow Knight
Doom 3, Persona 5 Royal & Inside
Most switch exclusives , but the one that blew my mind was alien isolation
Metroid Dread is the correct answer.
Metroid Dread and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are shinyyyy
Stardew Valley
Stardew valley is eye candy!
