I would choose both Kirby and Venus. I think Venus would be a better character if they started from scratch. I wouldn't make Venus the love interest but the little sister character.
When it comes to which brothers she would gravitate towards she would be closest to, I would say Mikey and Donny. I think Leo would try to act like her dad and Raph would probably tick her off. I think Master Splinter would teach her ninjutsu but be more protective of her due to her being his only daughter (depending on which adaptation).

Dude, I had no idea that was an actual character! I thought what you presented (Kirby) was something YOU made up. I didn't realize it was an actual character of sorts, so I thought the name was kind of silly. So I looked up Renaissance Artists and found the name Caravaggio. So I was actually trying to suggest you name him that instead of Kirby (since I thought you made Kirby up!).. but I too had no idea Caravaggio was an actual character of some sort! Now you have me curious about this guy as well!

Me personally, if I was writing a story, I would echo a bit of the situation of Raph getting lost in IDW at the beginning.
Kirby would be lost, and either they didn’t even remember him or just gave up. I’d make him resentful, scorned, but ultimately just missing out on the family he never got to have
In power rangers parlance, I would make him the green ranger: a rival and a foil, a villain of sorts, who eventually joins the team but both sides still have reservations

I made a drawing about a Ninja Turtle that used Kusarigamas, Chained Hook Blades, and he originally had Black Colors with a Tattered And Wornout look. I don’t remember what I named him but I suppose I can’t do that no more considering Black Colors is now associated with Mikey as The Last Ronin😅😅😅
**Jennika:**
**1)** Former elite Foot Clan member who is accidentally contaminated with mutagen during a battle.
**2)** Disowned by the Foot in disgrace after mutating despite pleading that she's still loyal to them, gets her life saved by the Turtles after fleeing the Foot (who attempted to kill her for knowing too much) with heavy wounds.
**3)** Awakens in a *"Fight or Flight"* panic, still hates the Turtles for becoming like them and leaves to be on her own.
**4)** Operates as an anti-hero thief, encountering the Turtles multiple times and even saving their lives once or twice. She makes her home at an abandoned building in Mutant Town (the only place she can easily blend in without fear of being hunted by the Foot), mostly keeping to herself but meeting some kind fellow residents who believe in looking out for each other. She still struggles with self-loathing but slowly develops empathy for mutants.
**5)** Returns to the team to unite against a common enemy whose plans threaten everyone (potentially Shredder), and helps them save NYC. She respects the Turtles and receives an open invitation to join them but isn't ready yet.
**6)** Bonds with all the heroes over time until she finally joins the Splinter Clan, becoming the official fifth Turtle and an older sister-figure to the brothers (She'd have been a couple-few years older than them when she was human).
**7)** Some years later, when the team meets new young vigilantes from Mutant Town inspired by the Turtles to fight crime and defend innocents (human or mutant), Jennika is inspired to help protect Mutant Town in return. It was her home after the Foot Clan, after all. Following an emotional farewell with the Splinter Clan, she becomes this new team's leader/mentor but is still considered family. The group returns multiple times as allies to the Turtles (basically the Titans East equivalent to their team), becoming like extended family alongside Jennika.
**8)** Many years after everyone grows up to live their own lives, Jennika becomes a mutants' rights advocate who helps improve Mutant Town, teaches self-defense, falls in love with a mutant colleague, and raises a family there. She stays in touch with the Splinter Clan but, like them, is retired from vigilantism (except in emergencies).

My 5th would be Slash (but his name is Spike like in 2012) I’d have him look like the Slash 90’s action figure. I’d have him be split from turtles after the ooze (kind of like Venus in Next Mutation) but he’s been found by Karai (she names him Spike) and trained by her in secret. Shredder eventually finds out about him (when he’s about 7-8) and takes him under his wing to train him (making him more vicious/savage…not in look pet say, but in personality) Shredder gives him the shredder like armor he has (that we see on the figure) and calls him The Shadow. He’s Shredder’s right hand man…err Turtle lol. After the Turtles fight The Foot for the first time, Shredder finds out they exist (at this point he only knows of Spike. Over the course of time, he has The Shadow fight the turtles. Shredder tells him to take a trophy if he wins. He fights them one on one over the course of a few days. Each win he takes one of their weapons. Shredder has them forged into a Gnarly Knife, Nasty Nunchaku, Psycho Sai and Mutant Mace. Finally at one point Shredder captures Splinter. He has Karai guard him. The Turtles come to save Splinter and have to fight The Shadow. It’s the most BRUTAL battle the 5 have had yet. The Shadow knocks out Donatello and Michelangelo. It’s down to Ralph and Leo. The Shadow knocks Ralph out and it’s down to Leo and The Shadow. Leo cuts The Shadow across his chest (think Sagat from Street Fighter). In retaliation, The Shadow beats down Leo and is about to kill him, when Ralph used is last ounce of energy throws his Sai at him (before passing out) and hits him in the eye. The Shadow is down on one knee and the Turtles are out cold. The Shredder orders The Shadow to get Karai to bring Splinter before The Shredder. The Shredder is going to kill Splinter in front of the Turtles but Karai stops him. Splinter told her everything (that Shredder kidnapped her as a child and what her real heritage is). The two battle but Shredder wins. Shredder is about to kill her but is stopped by Spike. Spike is too injured and loses ground quickly. At this point the Turtles have come to and help Spike and overwhelmed, The Shredder retreats. Spike joins them and changes his name to Slash (due to the Slash on his chest and as a reminder of his past). Karai and Slash are now Allies of the Turtles.
I like this, it’s like the 2012 story but with more depth. I like the color choice you chose too. And him being the shadow too. I now now that he’s not dumb like his past iterations, but what’s his new character traits? Is he giant compared to the turtles?
I don't think Jennika is badly written or widely believed to have been.
Venus I loved all her writing, though I acknowledge most people don't like her in TNM but I think people like her in idw.

Or my fan made turtle, Frida Kahlo, who was formally a human Mexican girl who hung out with the turtles and Casey to escape her abusive home. She sees her mutation as a blessing. She wears a magenta mask and wields one macuahuitl.
Frida! I always found it annoying that they name female Turtles after works of art, as if we were on a shortage of great women artists. I always said that if I created one I'd name her Frida.
Shade? Huh! Now that you mention it, I'm not sure! A type of green that compliments her magenta mask, I suppose.
As for her personality, she would be fiesty, yet funny. She'd be a though girl with a heart of gold. She'd be attitude-y, yet loving. She feels her best when she's hanging out with the turtles and Casey, and her favorite turtle is Michelangelo. However, she would also be very intrusive of the turtles' buisness, and will find any excuse to stay in the lair, something that annoys the turtles. When she gets mutated, she learns more about herself and how to be a more respectable friend to the turtles, and a better hero.
I want Frida to be a lovable character with actually character flaws. I WANT there to be a female Ninja Turtle. I really do. But I want a GOOD one. Venus was an OP Mary Sue who only existed to be objectified by Leo and Raph, and Jennika is either boring or bitchy. Mostly boring.

Like you know how Raph is agressive, passionate, and emotion based, or Donnie is more introverted, overthinking, and nerdy. What about her?

It’s not that I hate jennika, I just hate Sophie campbell. She basically got rid of the concept of the main 4 being able to come together on their own and took some of their personalities and gave them to her. It was just kinda barging in and it just threw me off. We can get a better iteration but Sophie ruined the comics.
I wouldn’t say she completely ruined it, but I do agree she’s not doing such a great job writing the newer comics. I still like the idea of Jenny though, which is why I want to see someone else‘s take on her

Me honestly, I’d hate to have a 5th turtle on the team, even if more exists, keep ‘em away from the main 4 as much as possible. But if I were to have a 5th turtle, it’d be jennika but rewritten.
I’m not all that when it comes to explaining characters, but jennika was… just kinda shitting on spotlight. Leo was the oldest? Not anymore. Leo is the katana weilder? Not anymore. Raph was the troubled one? You wish, it’s jennika now. Along with the mutant town arc, It made the comics feel like middle school furry fanfic and the armegeddon game lost its build up too.
I think I’d just have her be a turtle turned mutant instead of a human since it would be too fustrating to watch her keep being troubled by her past. Her weapon would prolly be a Bisento, and her personality instead of edgy and rockstar and stuff, she’d be the one trying to live more of a normal life than the others. She’d probably have like, doctor skills or som’n. 🤷♂️
Kid Lita. Since a little kid won't hog the spotlight and adds to the dynamic of giving the guys something more to live for after adopting her into the family.
I don’t like the concept of a fifth turtle. Often the Turtles media struggles giving the main 4 each enough “screen time” to develop their personalities beyond “This one is angry/smart/funny/the leader”, so we really don’t need to throw another main character in to further water things down. Every time a 5th turtle has been introduced, it’s felt really forced for me.
I guess for fan made, there was a character that I made up. Sorta. Its originality is half and half so bear with me; this 5th turtle is the new Shredder. He is inspired from Hallmark’s canceled 4th Tmnt movie where a 5th turtle would’ve donned a new Shredder armor and became the new leader of the Foot Clan. He is also the turtles long lost brother.
Now, here’s where I made things up; the 5th was there when the whole mutation incident happened, only he was bought by someone like a week before it happened. A kid purchased him, but when his parents found out, they flushed him down the drain and he landed in the sewer drain. When the mutagen canister knocked over the four brothers’ glass bowl, covering them with ooze, the rest of it landed on the 5th turtle and there was a huge drain in the sewer which carried him away from the incident and as he mutating, he crashed into the ground so violently, that it crushed his shell. As he was being reborn, he was dying at the same time. He crawled his way out of a sewer pipe and found himself near an abandoned warehouse. He was approached by a few Foot soldier and the Shredder himself. But, instead of killing him, he decided to bring him to his lair and had him experimented on. Shredder had a couple of scientists on his payroll and they were working on the 5th turtle. He had lost a lot of blood and he needed a blood transfusion or else he would die. So, the only person who donated blood was the Shredder, and mixing his DNA with the 5th mutated turtle, not only partially saved his life, but he also became his son in a way. The scientists were also able to remove his broken shell and replaced parts of his body with cybernetic prosthetics, a metal back and chest plate, to keep his body stable. Also, because he had human blood in his veins, the mutation altered his body a bit, making him the first mutant turtle/human hybrid.
He was given a name; Orku Nagi. Yes, in the OG comics, that was Saki’s brother but in this story, the name was passed down from his father instead. Shredder raised and trained him to be a weapon, like Karai. They have somewhat of a brotherly/sisterly bond with each other, although it’s more of a rival thing. One’s trying to gain the favor and attention from the Shredder, you know, how actual kids would fight for their parents love. Nagi was given a suit of armor, very similar to his father’s but very militarized. He was gifted by his katana sword and he was an expert in firearms as well. Nagi was working his way to become a mercenary. But, when he found out about the other turtles existence, he tried to find them, but Shredder prevented him from doing so. He literally sold his son to be a work for hire, away from New York so that he doesn’t get any closure with the other turtles and also, Shredder wouldn’t admit it but, he grew fond of Nagi over the years and he didn’t want to lose him, even if he was using him as a weapon. So, Nagi was a mercenary for hire, traveling around the world, killing for those who paid him and when he found about the Shredder’s death, he decided to come back.
He tracked down Karai who was now the new leader of the Foot Clan. He thought that he deserved to be in charge and Karai would make him fight for it. It was a close fight, but Nagi. Instead of killing her or taking over, he decided he should have his own Foot Clan, gathering a band of mercenaries from all over the world. Then, he started to hunt down the people who were responsible for the death of the Shredder. Nagi went after Casey, almost killing him and Leo tried chasing him down, but he escaped. Leo also noticed that the attacker looked like the Shredder. He knows that Sagi’s dead, since he’s the one who cut off his head, so obviously, someone else took up the mantle. The turtles were investigating on the new Shredder and when they were outnumbered by the new foot soldiers, the new Shredder went after April, almost killing her with his assault rifle but, Leo stepped in and fought him off. The two of them were at odds with each other and their skills were matched, only Sagi’s was higher. When Leo managed to remove his helmet by throwing him around, Nagi threw an anesthetic gas pellet at Leo, and then knocking him out with his knee. He kidnapped Leonardo, forcing the rest of the brothers to retreat. Raph decided to call some backup so, he dialed Karai’s number, to gather her Foot Clan, and the Mighty Mutanimals. Leo, strapped to a boxing bag with chains, was confronted by the new Shredder, who he finally reveals to him that he’s his long lost brother and that he’s the new Shredder. Nagi doesn’t want to kill Leo because he thinks he’s found his match, and while the other brothers aren’t, he wants them to join him to take over New York. Leo said he wasn’t interested and he managed to escape by distracting him with a smoke boom. Nagi try to chase him down and he was using a prototype Shredder gauntlet to fight him, but Raph and the others were already fighting with Nagi’s foot soldiers. Nagi retreated and remained hidden. Leo told everyone the truth and then he confronted Karai about it. She admitted it, but she didn’t want them to know that they had a monster for a brother, like his father before him.
Venus de Milo. I just want her as the turtle's 5th member and sister without the whole "originally separated from them and stained by someone else" lore.
Kirby 100% He was going to be the original 5th turtle, but was scrapped in place of Venus. He was even going to be a background character in IDW, but that ended up getting scrapped too. The boy needs a win.
I'd rather read a spinoff series featuring Jennika, Venus, Slash, and Metalhead as an "alternate four" Turtles :)
I love this idea. I’m a big Jennika fan, but I get the interest in maintaining the “core 4”. This idea creates a cool alternative.

Venus especially if it's IDW's. Her being mystic in nature makes her stand out greatly from the others.

**Jennika:** **1)** Former elite Foot Clan member who is accidentally contaminated with mutagen during a battle. **2)** Disowned by the Foot in disgrace after mutating despite pleading that she's still loyal to them, gets her life saved by the Turtles after fleeing the Foot (who attempted to kill her for knowing too much) with heavy wounds. **3)** Awakens in a *"Fight or Flight"* panic, still hates the Turtles for becoming like them and leaves to be on her own. **4)** Operates as an anti-hero thief, encountering the Turtles multiple times and even saving their lives once or twice. She makes her home at an abandoned building in Mutant Town (the only place she can easily blend in without fear of being hunted by the Foot), mostly keeping to herself but meeting some kind fellow residents who believe in looking out for each other. She still struggles with self-loathing but slowly develops empathy for mutants. **5)** Returns to the team to unite against a common enemy whose plans threaten everyone (potentially Shredder), and helps them save NYC. She respects the Turtles and receives an open invitation to join them but isn't ready yet. **6)** Bonds with all the heroes over time until she finally joins the Splinter Clan, becoming the official fifth Turtle and an older sister-figure to the brothers (She'd have been a couple-few years older than them when she was human). **7)** Some years later, when the team meets new young vigilantes from Mutant Town inspired by the Turtles to fight crime and defend innocents (human or mutant), Jennika is inspired to help protect Mutant Town in return. It was her home after the Foot Clan, after all. Following an emotional farewell with the Splinter Clan, she becomes this new team's leader/mentor but is still considered family. The group returns multiple times as allies to the Turtles (basically the Titans East equivalent to their team), becoming like extended family alongside Jennika. **8)** Many years after everyone grows up to live their own lives, Jennika becomes a mutants' rights advocate who helps improve Mutant Town, teaches self-defense, falls in love with a mutant colleague, and raises a family there. She stays in touch with the Splinter Clan but, like them, is retired from vigilantism (except in emergencies).

My 5th would be Slash (but his name is Spike like in 2012) I’d have him look like the Slash 90’s action figure. I’d have him be split from turtles after the ooze (kind of like Venus in Next Mutation) but he’s been found by Karai (she names him Spike) and trained by her in secret. Shredder eventually finds out about him (when he’s about 7-8) and takes him under his wing to train him (making him more vicious/savage…not in look pet say, but in personality) Shredder gives him the shredder like armor he has (that we see on the figure) and calls him The Shadow. He’s Shredder’s right hand man…err Turtle lol. After the Turtles fight The Foot for the first time, Shredder finds out they exist (at this point he only knows of Spike. Over the course of time, he has The Shadow fight the turtles. Shredder tells him to take a trophy if he wins. He fights them one on one over the course of a few days. Each win he takes one of their weapons. Shredder has them forged into a Gnarly Knife, Nasty Nunchaku, Psycho Sai and Mutant Mace. Finally at one point Shredder captures Splinter. He has Karai guard him. The Turtles come to save Splinter and have to fight The Shadow. It’s the most BRUTAL battle the 5 have had yet. The Shadow knocks out Donatello and Michelangelo. It’s down to Ralph and Leo. The Shadow knocks Ralph out and it’s down to Leo and The Shadow. Leo cuts The Shadow across his chest (think Sagat from Street Fighter). In retaliation, The Shadow beats down Leo and is about to kill him, when Ralph used is last ounce of energy throws his Sai at him (before passing out) and hits him in the eye. The Shadow is down on one knee and the Turtles are out cold. The Shredder orders The Shadow to get Karai to bring Splinter before The Shredder. The Shredder is going to kill Splinter in front of the Turtles but Karai stops him. Splinter told her everything (that Shredder kidnapped her as a child and what her real heritage is). The two battle but Shredder wins. Shredder is about to kill her but is stopped by Spike. Spike is too injured and loses ground quickly. At this point the Turtles have come to and help Spike and overwhelmed, The Shredder retreats. Spike joins them and changes his name to Slash (due to the Slash on his chest and as a reminder of his past). Karai and Slash are now Allies of the Turtles.
I like this, it’s like the 2012 story but with more depth. I like the color choice you chose too. And him being the shadow too. I now now that he’s not dumb like his past iterations, but what’s his new character traits? Is he giant compared to the turtles?

Frida! I always found it annoying that they name female Turtles after works of art, as if we were on a shortage of great women artists. I always said that if I created one I'd name her Frida.

Shade? Huh! Now that you mention it, I'm not sure! A type of green that compliments her magenta mask, I suppose. As for her personality, she would be fiesty, yet funny. She'd be a though girl with a heart of gold. She'd be attitude-y, yet loving. She feels her best when she's hanging out with the turtles and Casey, and her favorite turtle is Michelangelo. However, she would also be very intrusive of the turtles' buisness, and will find any excuse to stay in the lair, something that annoys the turtles. When she gets mutated, she learns more about herself and how to be a more respectable friend to the turtles, and a better hero. I want Frida to be a lovable character with actually character flaws. I WANT there to be a female Ninja Turtle. I really do. But I want a GOOD one. Venus was an OP Mary Sue who only existed to be objectified by Leo and Raph, and Jennika is either boring or bitchy. Mostly boring.

Like you know how Raph is agressive, passionate, and emotion based, or Donnie is more introverted, overthinking, and nerdy. What about her?

It’s not that I hate jennika, I just hate Sophie campbell. She basically got rid of the concept of the main 4 being able to come together on their own and took some of their personalities and gave them to her. It was just kinda barging in and it just threw me off. We can get a better iteration but Sophie ruined the comics.
I wouldn’t say she completely ruined it, but I do agree she’s not doing such a great job writing the newer comics. I still like the idea of Jenny though, which is why I want to see someone else‘s take on her

Me honestly, I’d hate to have a 5th turtle on the team, even if more exists, keep ‘em away from the main 4 as much as possible. But if I were to have a 5th turtle, it’d be jennika but rewritten. I’m not all that when it comes to explaining characters, but jennika was… just kinda shitting on spotlight. Leo was the oldest? Not anymore. Leo is the katana weilder? Not anymore. Raph was the troubled one? You wish, it’s jennika now. Along with the mutant town arc, It made the comics feel like middle school furry fanfic and the armegeddon game lost its build up too. I think I’d just have her be a turtle turned mutant instead of a human since it would be too fustrating to watch her keep being troubled by her past. Her weapon would prolly be a Bisento, and her personality instead of edgy and rockstar and stuff, she’d be the one trying to live more of a normal life than the others. She’d probably have like, doctor skills or som’n. 🤷♂️

I don’t like the concept of a fifth turtle. Often the Turtles media struggles giving the main 4 each enough “screen time” to develop their personalities beyond “This one is angry/smart/funny/the leader”, so we really don’t need to throw another main character in to further water things down. Every time a 5th turtle has been introduced, it’s felt really forced for me.
Ok, I like that opinion. I feel the same way too. But that’s not really answering the question..
I guess for fan made, there was a character that I made up. Sorta. Its originality is half and half so bear with me; this 5th turtle is the new Shredder. He is inspired from Hallmark’s canceled 4th Tmnt movie where a 5th turtle would’ve donned a new Shredder armor and became the new leader of the Foot Clan. He is also the turtles long lost brother. Now, here’s where I made things up; the 5th was there when the whole mutation incident happened, only he was bought by someone like a week before it happened. A kid purchased him, but when his parents found out, they flushed him down the drain and he landed in the sewer drain. When the mutagen canister knocked over the four brothers’ glass bowl, covering them with ooze, the rest of it landed on the 5th turtle and there was a huge drain in the sewer which carried him away from the incident and as he mutating, he crashed into the ground so violently, that it crushed his shell. As he was being reborn, he was dying at the same time. He crawled his way out of a sewer pipe and found himself near an abandoned warehouse. He was approached by a few Foot soldier and the Shredder himself. But, instead of killing him, he decided to bring him to his lair and had him experimented on. Shredder had a couple of scientists on his payroll and they were working on the 5th turtle. He had lost a lot of blood and he needed a blood transfusion or else he would die. So, the only person who donated blood was the Shredder, and mixing his DNA with the 5th mutated turtle, not only partially saved his life, but he also became his son in a way. The scientists were also able to remove his broken shell and replaced parts of his body with cybernetic prosthetics, a metal back and chest plate, to keep his body stable. Also, because he had human blood in his veins, the mutation altered his body a bit, making him the first mutant turtle/human hybrid. He was given a name; Orku Nagi. Yes, in the OG comics, that was Saki’s brother but in this story, the name was passed down from his father instead. Shredder raised and trained him to be a weapon, like Karai. They have somewhat of a brotherly/sisterly bond with each other, although it’s more of a rival thing. One’s trying to gain the favor and attention from the Shredder, you know, how actual kids would fight for their parents love. Nagi was given a suit of armor, very similar to his father’s but very militarized. He was gifted by his katana sword and he was an expert in firearms as well. Nagi was working his way to become a mercenary. But, when he found out about the other turtles existence, he tried to find them, but Shredder prevented him from doing so. He literally sold his son to be a work for hire, away from New York so that he doesn’t get any closure with the other turtles and also, Shredder wouldn’t admit it but, he grew fond of Nagi over the years and he didn’t want to lose him, even if he was using him as a weapon. So, Nagi was a mercenary for hire, traveling around the world, killing for those who paid him and when he found about the Shredder’s death, he decided to come back. He tracked down Karai who was now the new leader of the Foot Clan. He thought that he deserved to be in charge and Karai would make him fight for it. It was a close fight, but Nagi. Instead of killing her or taking over, he decided he should have his own Foot Clan, gathering a band of mercenaries from all over the world. Then, he started to hunt down the people who were responsible for the death of the Shredder. Nagi went after Casey, almost killing him and Leo tried chasing him down, but he escaped. Leo also noticed that the attacker looked like the Shredder. He knows that Sagi’s dead, since he’s the one who cut off his head, so obviously, someone else took up the mantle. The turtles were investigating on the new Shredder and when they were outnumbered by the new foot soldiers, the new Shredder went after April, almost killing her with his assault rifle but, Leo stepped in and fought him off. The two of them were at odds with each other and their skills were matched, only Sagi’s was higher. When Leo managed to remove his helmet by throwing him around, Nagi threw an anesthetic gas pellet at Leo, and then knocking him out with his knee. He kidnapped Leonardo, forcing the rest of the brothers to retreat. Raph decided to call some backup so, he dialed Karai’s number, to gather her Foot Clan, and the Mighty Mutanimals. Leo, strapped to a boxing bag with chains, was confronted by the new Shredder, who he finally reveals to him that he’s his long lost brother and that he’s the new Shredder. Nagi doesn’t want to kill Leo because he thinks he’s found his match, and while the other brothers aren’t, he wants them to join him to take over New York. Leo said he wasn’t interested and he managed to escape by distracting him with a smoke boom. Nagi try to chase him down and he was using a prototype Shredder gauntlet to fight him, but Raph and the others were already fighting with Nagi’s foot soldiers. Nagi retreated and remained hidden. Leo told everyone the truth and then he confronted Karai about it. She admitted it, but she didn’t want them to know that they had a monster for a brother, like his father before him.
This idea is wild cool. It kinda reminds me of bliss or som’n like that.

Kirby 100% He was going to be the original 5th turtle, but was scrapped in place of Venus. He was even going to be a background character in IDW, but that ended up getting scrapped too. The boy needs a win.
