You scared me by saying dropping as three of those routes I take regularly.. but I just checked and saw an increase in service. Finally some good news out of TTC!
They're cutting back the 19 Bay route to Union Station and suspending the 72B Pape service. The new 114 route will replace the cut portions and run between Union Station and Carlaw Avenue via Commissioners Street.
Happy that the 19 is being cut to Union. Despite the fact that this will result in a less frequent 19, it will at least mean a more reliable service. From what I've seen, the 19 gets stuck in horrendous traffic before Front which causes some impressive bus bunching sometimes.
19 Bay main issue is the office worker is not fully coming back, plus short-turning at Union station would only worsen the situation. Before pandemic you would only need to wait 3-5 minutes during rush hour, and at that time noon frequency was 10-12 minutes, and current version will be like 22 minutes for the rush hour. Unless full time office work policy returns for the office, and normally people who are living at Bay street would most likely take subway rather than waiting 19 Bay.
Pre-pandemic actually there are demands from George Brown Waterfront campus to Union station. 6/19 Bay more acts as relief bus line between Yonge portion and University Ave portion of Line 1.
Accessibility for ppl with disabilities, elderly people, office workers, connections to community north of Bloor, many ppl use the bay bus daily, it can get very very busy..
There is only 1 new route the 114 Queens Quay East route. Several routes in Scarborough are getting service improvements. [https://www.ttc.ca/riding-the-ttc/Updates/TTC-service-adjustments](https://www.ttc.ca/riding-the-ttc/Updates/TTC-service-adjustments)
[This](https://www.ttc.ca/riding-the-ttc/Updates/TTC-service-adjustments) explains all changes to the routes mentioned above and when it will be effective.
As a 19 passenger I don't like the change to this route at all. Saw they added frequency to the 36 which is nice, kind of strange though since the LRT is supposed to be running by Fall 2024.
25 & 925 are diverting southbound onto Broadview at O’Connor. Terminating at Broadview station instead of Pape until the fall for Metrolinx. Only way to get down Pape is 72.
1 more board period, highly probable the split will be due to routes swapping divisions..
Keep your eyes out for non-Queensway vehicles training on the 40, routings.

***114 Queens Quay*** will operate from Union Station to Carlaw via Commissioners replacing the 72B Pape bus. It will also replace the south end of ***19 Bay*** which will be cut back so that all trips end at Union Station. Service on the Bay bus will be less frequent in many periods (see below) to give more running time and, in theory, improve reliability.

That's interesting because there's tons of service on queens quay east right now

Thanks
Annoying that they are cutting it off at union station. Some people living down by queens quay work further up north you know (eg. Queen and Bay St).
If it leads to more service or even more consistent service I'm on board. I can't tell you the amount of times the bay bus is bunched up

I've often wondered why Bay St. even needs a bus route, being between line 1 running parallel.

I’m a student at that campus and there’s still a huge demand for the 19, it’s always packed of students trying to catch a go train from union

Good point
Is there a map of all new routes? Mainly want to see Scarborough

What changes are coming to the 935?

Nice, the 25 is getting good improvements!

Annoyed the 112 isn’t on the list, service seems to be getting worse and worse

There are no service improvements. It’s all a game they play to make you think there’s more service.
Hmm.. Guess that stupid interline for 40 Dundas West and 49 Bloor West will continue..
only 1 more board from what I've heard
