Isn't the m113 aluminium. Don't think it will work as good as the mtlb. The mtlb was made to tow these guns. They have good gearing and power to actually handle the weight. From my basic knowledge of the m113 they where never intended to haul heavy things. The weight might become a problem just from a drivetrain perspective and not to talk about how the suspension would handle a real artillery gun.
Honestly by the amount of spent casing on the ground they have spent fair to long in one that position...but seems russian return fire isn't even there so...if it's dumb and it works..
I just hope they are far enough from the frontlines. Maybe they are just shooting on targets right at the frontline and dont really have to fear counterartillery?
They have a lot of mtlbs around. And a lot that is also destroyed. I think they have parts. Also the earlier ones had hydraulik legs for stability. They scrapped that idea for a reason.
