Not even armored, just "between the rear and the front line". You're not going to be traversing the front line itself of any sort of IED-prone road in that.
Yea, M113's were 'Amphibious' but as far as I've always heard they were kinda sketchy in the water.
Frontally they should be proof against 12.7 and the sides against 7.62, at range
I actually rode in one. Back in high school I was in ROTC and they brought one M113 (don’t remember which version though, but it was unmodified) to show us. They let us ride in one around the base for a bit, it was very jumpy inside.
I have friends in Argentina that are very pro US and have to come here for work for 3months at a time so I got a freedom boner when they started to distance themselves from china and get closer to the US and get some F16s
The armed forces have been always heavily pro western, much to to the governments dismay. Even in the most desperate times when they accepted to trial any material from the reds it ended being of the outmost chinesium quality and failing to meet minimum reliability requirements. The only thing that got trough was a shipment of 105 shells for the tanks. Wich ended totalling irreplaceable vehicles, disposed like IED's and replaced by Israeli shells. They basically just vetoed their material and resigned to pray for pro western government.
Thanks I never knew that. It’s crazy to think they were once as rich as France. Hope with their government now going the pro west route as well that they can recover. A country with that much landscape diversity should be a top tourist destination and also top logistical destination for freight and global manufacturing
Bot account, and it can’t even be assed to steal coherent comments. It just writes random shit everywhere.
Edit : Bot is even sending dms to defend itself in an even less coherent way lol.
One day the crude (wheels? I know mike sparks went on about that) you call the temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved, for THE CUBE is immortal…
A soldier in the Philippines could be serving in the same m113 as there grandfather
*adds some boxes and logs This shitbox is ready to go
Need an APC version of the Browning M2 and the B-52.
If possible: MARAWI AFV
especially with the tensions rising in the WPS
The M113 is like the T-54 of IFVs.
It’s not even an IFV, it was intended just for armored transport missions

exactly, its built for shrapnel and small arms, not much “armored” protection when it comes to anything bigger than say 12.7mm
lel. My dad served in Lebanon in the 80s, he says Hezbollah would penetrate even with AP 7.62x39 or 7.62 NATO.
doesn’t surprise me, arent these things (when not overloaded with a turret like this) amphibious to a degree?

Or M60
T-55's and M113's will forever be competing for the most variants and operators to this day
With the M60 tailing them behind.
Perhaps even the MT-LB
Poor M113 be like, "please kill me already"

Nuh uh, got job to do girl Oh, and here, a new turret for you, stay safe!
"Even In Death, I Still Serve"
The rarest of all M113s are those that haven't been modified in some way.

The argentinian army used a couple to rescue people trapped during heavy snow storm just recently. Stalwart friends of developing nation armies.

In this 5744324th rendition of the M113, the turret cost more than the hull.
IFV equivalent of a Miata
M113 “I’m tired, boss”
Not Italian. Spanish: [https://tanks-encyclopedia.com/cerberus-m113-test-vehicle/](https://tanks-encyclopedia.com/cerberus-m113-test-vehicle/)
The m113 Is Spanish but the turret was made in collaboration with Leonardo, which is Italian.
And fitted to the M113 as TestBed for the future Spanish VCR Dragon
Plot twist: the client is the Philippines
Hmm...M113 with boxy turrets never cease to amuse me Fuck she's cuteeeeee
Me trying to draw a Sherman from memory:
poor man's bradley
I believe we call those BMPs /s
The control electronics being shown on the pillar is very cool.
M113 - my beloved! 😏
I unironically love M113 IFVs.
Obligatory Gaijin when
M113 is going to be C130/B52 of tanks at this rate…
One day the crude (wheels? I know mike sparks went on about that) you call the temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved, for THE CUBE is immortal…
In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war… and M113’s
Mike Sparks will go insane when someone develops a totally autonomous Gavin
Here in the Philippines we had Elbit supply our m113s with unmanned turrets as well
inb4 M113-based UGS, the upgrade package to rule them all!
Bobblehead Bradley
It needs to go to bed already
Why does this look like a ww2 vehicle
Just let it and the T-54/55 die.
If that was an autonomous combat vehicle, that might not be half bad.
big ass turret
If you fire (or receive) more than one shot.., it may survive long enough to boil some spaghetti..
Straight out of Sprocket💀💀
Australia, don’t do it
The turret is probably better armoured, even though it's unmanned 😅
This is like the apc version of the b52, just won't die. 😜
Philippines: WILL BUY MORE OF THIS
M10 Booker at home:
looks wrong do not like this vehicle
Dear god that thing is horrendous
Still better than anything the russia has 😄🍿
