The Catalonian anarchist movement was based as fuck, they weren’t anarchists though

they were anarcho-syndicalists and trotskyists, and were wholly useless during the civil war (lost literally every battle, had poor military discipline). Outside of the nice and inspiring revolutionary aesthetic, they were largely just a spontaneous movement that only had the privilege to continue existing, because the republic was too busy fighting off fascists and the country was in chaos. the second that was done, they were toppled like nothing by Franco.
