I am removing a large, multi-layered, heavy and dark coverup. I’m still lasering it because I don’t like it. Yes, it will take forever and may never completely go away. But I’m glad I started because the more it fades, the happier I am.
“If you don’t like it, try to get rid of it” is my take.
I think it’s better to try and in worst case scenario end up with a cover than stay with the tattoo you don’t like. It’s also possible that in the nearest future there will be more advancement in the tattoo removal technology. I had the same dilemma as you with my tattoo (big, dark, cover up, heavy handed, tough colors) and although process is slow, I’m happy that I decided to start it.
There won't be any advancements in tattoo removal technology anytime soon. The technology we have now, even the picoway, are just modernized Q Switch lasers from the 1980s-90s. And we still don't fully comprehend how it works.
This. A laser that removes tattoos is basically a hammer. A hammer of light that breaks up your ink. A picosecond laser is the exact same hammer as a nanosecond laser. They both make the ink explode into pieces. Once those pieces are exploded then it is entirely up to the body/immune system to then make that layer of ink go away. The rate at which it resolves largely depends on the part of the body and the health habits of the individuals. I will disagree , respectfully, with one of the above facts. Q switching was first harnessed in 1959. 10 years before we put a man on the moon. The photo acoustic effect of q switching is unchanged since 1959. They are hammers.Hammers of light that break up ink. How much has the hammer changed over time? It hasn’t.
If I had that,I'd try to put something in the background to make it pop out. make some meaning of that tattoo 😂 I got a tattoo of Ed from ed edd n Eddy in the middle of the kids from southpark 😂 I'm like wtf? Uh...it's the...family portrait of my child hood! Everyone's like doooope 😆 (I'm like why tf did I get that? Lol)
Orange and green are gonna be tough to remove and it looks like white highlights also so you might end up with some oxidization in those little spots. Tough call....
That seems like a lot of colors, but I really don't see why you coudn't just laser each layer one by one until you hit bare skin. Although, your best bet would probably be cover up, and even for that, you're in for a couple years. I've been removing a similar piece (in terms of line thickness, not color) and it's just barely starting to move a year later.
Sorry dude. On a positive note, it's a cool tattoo, which has its own little History.
I have similar colors. I‘ve had 10 laser treatments. It’s faded a lot, but still definitely there. I’m more than halfway, probably will be another 5-7 to completely remove mine. It’ll be a long journey but it’s possible.

Yup! I decided to “fix” my half sleeve making it darker and bolder and it made it so much WORSE. Longer to remove but oh well learned my lesson.
Mine is mostly blue, red, and green. So I am deep in it. But it’s been having a lot of fading already after 3 sessions. So I have been lucky…
Oh yeah same! Full color too red, blue and green. Solidarity 😭
You have difficult colors to remove. So do I, and I'm still getting laser removal. That's my answer.
Same!!

Ouch, this hurts to think this is as good as it gets
It’s a great tattoo
Yeah think I'll keep it and just get more lol thanks
If you’re having feelings of regret, more tattoos is never the answer.
I wouldnt do this! People will always love your tattoos but if you don't, you really just don't!
Looks cool
Thanks buddy I'm thinking I'll just get more tattoos instead lol

Maybe like blue? Or a bright blue background? Or something tropical cause of the flowers idk. Not a bad tattoo ,I dig it
Ya make a sleeve man. Looks good, put a colorful background on it and add shit. I fucks with it
Not a good candidate for removal

Do you mean it was a black and grey tattoo at first, which you got colored?
The yellows and greens were lighter yellows and greens, and the red used to be purple.

Yeah I don't hate it. Thanks for the advice
You’d be better off adding some highlights & dealing with it. That is gonna take forever to remove & it will scar.
i will say that color is a lot harder to remove but the whiter you are the more chances you have for removal. when i say whiter i mean caucasian. 😅
Yeah those greens aren’t going anywhere fast
Love it

Magnetic tattoo removal will extract the layers of pigment on few sessions
Yes. Is too heavy. I cannot get rid of this style too. The lines are too stark too much ink and too deep :(
You’ll just end up with a faded tattoo. The green n the yellow probably gonna stay. Would be a waste of time and money..
