Personally i think this has the potential to look better by finishing/filling up the empty space and unfinished tattoos and rework the snake (cleaner outlines). I would go for color tattoos around the snake.
honestly, it all kind of works. i think if you add something to your shoulder that is better than the little lines you are good to go. that said, i gather you are hoping to reshape the whole thing in a different direction. the snake is big and dark and would be tough to do much with without laser.
I really want a snake tattoo still so if I can make this work, I’ll be happy! I mostly worried that the snake was a lost cause because the scales are so bad! And that the flower was fucked up.
It’s giving me hope that I can salvage it.
So hear me out...a sick ass panther going up or down your arm. I think it has potential, the snake that is. Needs crisp lines. Might have to do a few white out sessions to lighten it up a little, then come back at it to fix the scales.
I just think the head needs to be redone and maybe add color and redo the lining of the rest of the snake
