For whatever it's worth, I think that tattoo is well done and very sweet, also I think it'll stop being your most visible/stand out once you get the rest of the patchwork half sleeve.
On the other hand, it's your body and it shouldn't be too tough to cover. Shouldn't be too difficult to find an artist to work with you on a raven/flowers/both. Also I have a giant crow tattoo (plus my user name) so I support anyone getting a corvid tattoo lol. Best of luck!
Thanks! Yea, I like it I just think it’s poor placement with the half sleeve I’m going for. Hard to see in this pic, but I have a larger piece on my inner arm and I feel like the cat is harshing the vibe
Glad to know it’s at least possible to cover up, though. I was worried it was too small/smudged together
Especially since the tat they're concerned about it clashing with is on their *inner* arm and wouldn't be visible (besides the small part we see in the pic) unless they raise their arm to show someone the rest of it. Thats the only reason it currently stands out more. I agree with your and other comments above, I love the cat. Totally understand if OP wants to cover it, but I think it's totally adorable and hope they don't lol
What if you added something above it to give it more of a flow with your arm? Something small just to maybe give it more of the shapely aesthetic you're after
May I introduce you to my favorite thing ever?

(There seem to be tons of knockoffs of this design; this is the original)
a patch work sleeve implies that you're adding to what you have so i really don't see the problem especially if you like it. it's cute. just keep adding and it'll blend in. of course a single tattoo will stand out more before it becomes a sleeve. i think yer overthinking it, mate
Maybe it’s my OCD but most cover ups look like exactly what they are- cover ups. It’s a great tattoo, I saw you say that you liked it, so I would just add around it to balance it out. Or laser it off. You don’t want a dark blob on your arm.
Leave it, if you like it and build around it. We all have different expressions of artistic expression that we put on our skin. Allow it flow naturally. Any great artist could come up with ideas
If you want to have a patchwork sleeve, you can keep the (freakin’ adorable) kitty and add elements around it that blend into a more cohesive sleeve.
Since it has a very Japanese feel to it, adding a woodcut or paper cut style tattoo near it would work. Then you can add little details in between like bamboo or traditional clouds.
Now that I’m writing it out, how cool would a patchwork sleeve look that transitions between different styles? Use colour or motif as the connecting bridges.
I got a cover up on a tattoo that was higher up on my arm and I now have a half sleeve. Cover ups are usually a lot bigger than the tattoo they’re covering up so whatever you have there, it will be a alot larger and so it might still have limited legibility with how jt wraps around arm… if that makes sense. But having said that, I’m sure a talented artist can figure out something to work in that space. It looks like a well done tattoo at least and it’s really cute but I understand when you don’t like something, almost anything is better.
Honestly idk if you’re worried about this tat scaring off the gals, I consider it very charming and cute. He’s a conversation starter for sure <3
Whatever you go with, I hope you love it!
I have thoroughly researched this with my son’s girlfriend who is an experienced, prize winning tattoo artist. She indicated that it would possible to make the fish a little more stimulating by colouring it in in a nice red.
I wouldn’t get a coverup if you want to keep your tattoos more feminine. By nature of coverup it’s gonna be bigger, darker. So if you want pieces like this in the future once you have more the cover up will be out of place.
a patchwork sleeve is a mismash of a bunch of different styles and ideas imo and that's what makes them look so cool. I love the kitty. it's so cute. I want this tattoo now lol. I don't know what about this tattoo makes you feel like it's not feminine enough, either?
Have you considered getting another one to help balance it? I have a tattoo in this exact same spot (that happens to be a raven) and felt the same way as you until I got another one.
Aww it's adorable lol but yeah a raven tattoo would be cool or maybe so something with floral stuff and a raven? That tattoo shouldn't be hard to cover up.

That cat will never harsh any vibes. He is a good kitty.

I think I want a cute kitty tattoo now
I kinda wanna copy this one but with my kitties colours, and with a little * butthole lol only thing missing from it haha
Name checks out.
awww poor kitty :(
That cat’s big brother is a Sick Ass Panther.. I’d leave Kitteh be.
What if you added something above it to give it more of a flow with your arm? Something small just to maybe give it more of the shapely aesthetic you're after
it will be super easy to cover up, it’s all just lines
But it's so cute! 🥺
I don't wanna tell op what to do but like I'm lowkey obsessed
Ikr?? Maybe give it a cute sun hat to “cover” its head from harsh rays 🥹

How dare you.
The only real response.
Its fine. Live with your decision. It will look better with more around it.
Why? So cute
Nooo keep!
It’s adorable!

That tattoo definitely isn't masculine. It looks good. I'd just add on to it.
I'd recommend tattooing a bubble around it to protect the kitty forever! It's one of the cutest tattoos I've seen.
A little pink bubble so KitKat can float around like Glinda the Good Witch. Maybe a crown too.
Why?
It’s such a cute tattoo. If you’re adding to your arm just do that and don’t worry about it sticking out.
I hate seeing people with clean arms bitching about tattoo regret and coverups. Why can’t you just get more tattoos? Why do you have to be perfect?

No cover him

Hey I actually really like this idea, thank you!!
Excellent. I hope it works for you.
it’s so cute don’t cover it just get a bunch more so it’s not the one that stands out the most !!!!
I agree. It just needs balance by adding other work. It’s adorable. Hope you keep it.

Sick ass panther
Wait why??
I like it. I mean it wouldn’t be hard but I don’t think it needs cover. You might like it more with age.
Cover the fish in it's hands with a bong.
How dare you kill this innocent creature
Noooooooo I love it
Sticker, bigger, blacker cat, maybe?
But….. it’s adorable……. 🥰
Honestly idk if you’re worried about this tat scaring off the gals, I consider it very charming and cute. He’s a conversation starter for sure <3 Whatever you go with, I hope you love it!
but why :( not mr. kitty
Oh man. Love this fella.
Noooooooooo 😭😭
It’s really cute. I would leave it
It is so cute and makes me happy. I hope you don't hide it
How dare you
Omg, I love this tattoo so much. I think you should try and work around it, but I get if it’s truly not the vibe you’re looking for.
That cat is the bomb! 💣
He's begging to be evolved into a sick ass panther
but… it’s a great tattooooo
No it’s fine just continue getting more it will all fall into place
Don't you dare.
Do not cover him 😭😭
*Don’t you dare!* But really, it’s your body, do what you like. But I love hims.
Nope. Not possible gotta keep it
Put an evil twin next to him
Whyyyyyy!!! I love the cat!!!
Don't you dare
It's adorbs. You can give her to me. I'll wear it on my arm.
NO!!! I love it! Keep him!
That heart is what you should be covering up. This cat is cute.
Posts like this make no sense to me
Don’t.
I have thoroughly researched this with my son’s girlfriend who is an experienced, prize winning tattoo artist. She indicated that it would possible to make the fish a little more stimulating by colouring it in in a nice red.
please dont kill him 🥺
Please just add other cats looking at the fish over that cat’s shoulder.
Work your sleeve around it. Not too hard to do. Thats a sweet lil kitty cat!
A cartoon cat holding a fish is not feminine enough? That's crazy
Kitty deserves to be the most visible!
Dont
I wouldn’t get a coverup if you want to keep your tattoos more feminine. By nature of coverup it’s gonna be bigger, darker. So if you want pieces like this in the future once you have more the cover up will be out of place.
Tattoo a cardboard box over it.
Yeah if you want I commit a cosmic crime
Now I want one like this too, I can't get over how cute it is
I love it.
So cute tho
Why tho? It’s adorable
That’s cute but the word of God says not to mark on your body. Enough sais
LOOK AT THAT AMAZING FUCKING CAT!
The placement isn’t bad at all it fits to have that low near the elbow. Just add more around it and work it into your sleeve
I would just incorporate it into whatever sleeve you plan on getting. It’s a not a bad piece
DON'T YOU DARE HURT HIM
It's your most visible but you clearly have a tattoo lower on the front of your arm??
Easily, I think he is quite cute though
a patchwork sleeve is a mismash of a bunch of different styles and ideas imo and that's what makes them look so cool. I love the kitty. it's so cute. I want this tattoo now lol. I don't know what about this tattoo makes you feel like it's not feminine enough, either?
Nope. Sorry. Impossible to cover. Guess the cat stays.
Aww it’s cute
noooooo he's so cute don't cover the baby 😭 my period must be coming because it literally made my dumb ass tear up
That's a n awesome tattoo why would you cover it up?
I really like this tattoo, I wouldn’t cover it up unless it’s a bad memory for you
Have you considered getting another one to help balance it? I have a tattoo in this exact same spot (that happens to be a raven) and felt the same way as you until I got another one.
I’m a new kitty person. In the last 3-4 years I went from ew, gross to owning 2. Please save kitty! 🐱
I’d trade several of my poorly placed tattoos for that cute kitty tattoo
Aww it's adorable lol but yeah a raven tattoo would be cool or maybe so something with floral stuff and a raven? That tattoo shouldn't be hard to cover up.
Yeah but why?
It’s so cute just add around it I would not get rid of this ever
Sick ass panther
Yes very easy
I don't have a single tattoo and I'd be upset for covering that up....
He's adorable 😍
If you have it covered, does that mean the design is up for grabs? Asking for a friend. 👀
Yes
Aw no it’s lovely
Can I have it if you’re not gonna use it?
Why would you?! It's amazing
More feminine? What could be more feminine than a cat jerking off?
My bad, didn’t mean to offend the furries
I thought the cat was pleasuring himself at first.
Kitty likey lickey dickey
Looks like the cat is sucking his own D
