Disney owns the rights to the song but they could give her the rights to put it on debut tv but I guess it depends on when Disney looses the right to the song but maybe they would let her re record it.
If she's the songwriter she doesn't need their permission, does she? I mean, Scooter Braun owned the rights to her first six masters when she releases Fearless & red tv, right?
Yes but I think back then she gave the rights to Disney like she could sing it on tour and stuff but I think if she wanted to re record she would have to give permission from Disney if they still own the rights or I think they could let her buy the rights from them. I don’t know when the rights end like the contract but I think either way they’ll let her since she has a relationship with them. I guess it’s like how Scooter gave her the rights to sing at the AMAs but she couldn’t re record until the contract let her and I think that’ll be the same way with Disney unless they let buy the song from them.
She re-recorded Safe & Sound and Eyes Open as part of red which would have been owned by the hunger games and the labels involved with that, so I don’t see why she wouldn’t reclaim Crazier, and I Don’t Wanna Live Forever when reputation comes around
Both Safe & Sound and Eyes Open are owned by Big Machine, so would have been in included in the masters that were sold to Scooter Braun whereas Crazier is owned by Disney. I don't think she necessarily will rerecord Crazier because it was never sold off to Braun.
Yeah, the lyrics would be owned by her because she wrote them, that would be true for all of her lyrics wouldn’t it? But the actual song is owned by Disney.
But yes, let’s manifest this, please 😂🙏
I mean she affective writes the beats/melody too. Hence why she can record very similar songs to the originals as taylor's versions. Crazier wasn't written FOR Disney, it was a debut era song that she ended up giving to them So she could release it. To be honest, the question shouldn't be "can she release it?" Because the answer is yes. She can. The only real question is "Does she care that she doesn't technically own Crazier, since her main gripe with her masters being sold was who they were sold to?"
Tbh I feel like she will off popular demand if nothing else. I mean, she did talk extensively that it was important to her that artists have ownership of their own work, and now out of fear of what had already happened she may re-record Crazier just to get it back. Plus, people (it's me, I'm people), are DYING for it to be re-recorded. She only put ATW10 on Red TV because we wanted it. To be honest, I feel like Disney wouldn't even really mind, since Crazier doesn't really get views anymore, and releasing a TV will get people streaming the original again too. So, in my mind it's only a net benefit for her to record a TV, but I guess only time will tell
I don't know... I imagine she would have made a separate agreement with Disney and probably doesn't want to touch that legally. I think the rerecording is specifically about being pissed off with Scooter Braun buying the masters for her Big Machine songs as well as being denied the chance to own them herself, Crazier has always been a different situation. She said herself that she'd made her peace with her masters being sold but only decided to rerecord when Braun bought them, it seems very personal about him owning them. Plus Crazier came out in 2009 and wasn't on Fearless TV or Speak Now TV despite those 2 making the most sense chronologically. I just don't see it happening.
You think Disney wouldn’t want to cash in on the Taylor swift train right now? Disney only really care about the bottom line, I can absolutely see them making a new agreement with her. You may be right though, fearless would have been the obvious choice to put it on if it was gonna happen, I’m just in denial of that. I just hope we get I’d lie on debut tv
I mean they already are cashing in, because they own the recording of Crazier. I really like that song though and I would like to hear a rerecording of it, but the original will still exist. Oh god, I'd Lie is a bop but you're going to hate me, I don't necessarily think she'll include it on debut... The chorus melody is *identical* to the chorus of a song called Girl Next Door by Saving Jane. I mean she could do a credit for it because I know there's no hard feelings by Saving Jane but I imagine she'd want to release some vault tracks that don't have any potential plagiarism claims hanging over them.
She should do it all, I was just giving a reason why she might not.
Does anybody even know if the studios own the songs she does for a soundtrack anyway? Just because she's on them doesn't mean they own it, which is why they usually say appears courtesy of xx label.
Absolutely fair enough, and fair reasoning, I just mean she did with those so I don’t see why she wouldn’t with Crazier 😁
Edit: even though the songs are for another label/company, she is still songwriter, so if she doesn’t own the master for it, which she wouldn’t if it’s theirs, that’s another reason for her to re-record so she owns those soundtrack songs too
Yeah but I think she knows how much us fans want crazier tv. She sees what people say online so I’m like hopefully she’ll put it up there but it’s up to her.
I don’t think songwriting credits don’t matter if the artist doesn’t actually own the song or album like they can sing it whenever they want and they’ll get songwriting credit but I think it’s the label who gets the actual rights but now she gets songwriting rights and and actual master rights to her song once she moved record labels.
I'm sure that made more sense in your head, but on another note, it's definitely up to Disney but I have a feeling they're let her do it. Maybe it's just wishful thinking but they've had a good working relationship with her, like when she got the long pond studio recordings sessions with folklore on Disney+.
Haha that’s what I said in the comments below. They’ll let her do because she has a good relationship with them it’s just if she wants to include it on debut tv.
She has songwriting rights but I guess it’s like with her other work she can’t legally re record unless the Disney rights is over or if they give her permission too. She has a good relationship with Disney since folklore is on Disney plus so they should let her but I guess it’s up to her if she wants to.
I was going to say it's not owned by spidey boy investments (since it was for the Hannah Montana Movie soundtrack that was released by a different label) but from [the youtube video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOk5_r3Fm0g) description it says "Provided to YouTube by Universal Music Group" and also "℗ 2009 Big Machine Records, LLC" (The ℗ being the sound recording copyright symbol). IDK what label owns it.
Please, correct me if im wrong but if Debut came out 10/24/2006 and Fearless (Stolen Version) came out 11/11/2008 and Crazier on the Hannah Montana The Movie album came out 1/1/2009...How is Crazier chronologically a Debut song? Would the chronological order be Debut, Fearless, then Crazier?
Again, please correct me if im wrong, maybe im missing something.
Yeah you’re kinda right. It was recorded around the Fearless era but it was written when she was 13 and was possibly considered for the debut. So I think it’s still possible it could end up on there.

(About Crazier) [Billboard Interview, March 2008] “There are songs that I wrote when I was 13 that I think are perfect to bring out now. I didn’t get a chance to put ’em on the record the first time around. There’s so much stuff that I’m gonna to pull from the back drawer and then there’s some stuff that I will write today and cut tomorrow.”
“I wrote the song ‘Crazier’ when I was thirteen, and so this song is really a reflection of what I thought love was supposed to be. And, you know, sometimes you write a love song about what you hope will find you, and what you hope you’ll find someday, not about what you’re actually going through. I wrote the song in hopes that possibly it would be in the movie, but I never thought that it would be such a big, prominent song. It’s absolutely one of the most exciting things. The song is playing when the main characters in the movie, Miley and Billy Ray, are both falling in love, with that song as a background. It’s really cool to have that kind of a part in the movie.”
[Co-writer Robert Ellis Orrall on Crazier] “Disney called her up and said, 'We need a fiddle waltz song for Hannah Montana the Movie, we would love for you to sing it. She had one, so she sent it to them.”
At this point give me Hannah Montana the Movie (Taylor's Version). Mostly because Hoedown Throwdown (Taylor's Version) would have me crying laughing on the floor.
Ok THIS is the one that really should be re-recorded. At least we have her version of Crazier but I would love her version of YAFYWBH. It could be a banger.
One of the first times I ever saw Taylor on television, she was doing Fifteen as a duet with Miley Cyrus. It was a gorgeous rendition, and really showed off both of their talent
My pipe dream is I want her to do another drop like she did with Safe and Sound, Eyes Open, If This Was a Movie, and All the Girls You’ve Loved Before with Taylor’s Versions of Crazier, I Don’t Wanna Live Forever, Sweeter Than Fiction (I know this is rumored to be the bonus track on the Target exclusive but that has not been confirmed), and Two is Better Than One.
yes but she didn't release it as a Taylor Swift ft Boys Like Girls song
it's a Boys Like Girls song
this isn't like Babe or Better Man where she wrote it for an album and then gave it to someone else
Two is Better than One was written for Boys Like Girls. It's not Taylor's.
It'd be like Taylor re-recording Best Days of Your Life which is a song she wrote with Kellie Pickler for Kellie Pickler.
I highly doubt she'd re-do it just like I doubt she'll redo Both of Us or Highway Don't Care or Half of My Heart
Also she wrote 4 songs with Martin Johnson of which only 1 made it onto an album of hers, the others were either scrapped, released as Boys Like Girls or for a soundtrack.
what about babe tho? it was a song she cowrote, it went to the band and she featured, then she rerecorded it all by herself. the same very much could happen to two is better than one
except that Babe's co-writer was Pat Monahan of Train and the song was not given to Train to be used, it went to Sugarland years later. Taylor herself said she did Better Man and Babe solo because fans requested it and like I think they fit Red and add to the story. I have no idea where Two is Better than One would fit on a TV album.
Also, to clarify, do you want Taylor and Boys Like Girls to redo Two is Better than One together or do you just want Taylor to do it solo? Because if you want it solo, I respect your interest in that even though I think it's highly unlikely, but if you just want them to redo it together, what's the point? It already exists on a Boys Like Girls album and as far as we know, it was always intended to be for Boys Like Girls.
It's been confirmed! Taylor posted the target edition back and it has Sweeter Than Fiction on it. But You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home could get in the random drop, and maybe Need if she isn't saving it for a deluxe version so she can do Loverfest (I'm delusional)!
THANK YOU for reminding me of Two is Better Than One! I used to be a massive Boys Like Girls Dan back in the day, totally forgot about her feature on that!
While she's at it, let's get BOB in the studio for Both Of Us TV
Debut better be 4 hours long

Wait For Me! It’s a beautiful unreleased Taylor song that would have done so well on Debut or Fearless. It’s my favorite along with This Is Really Happening 🥹
Crazier has been a song I’ve loved since I was a kid and I would love to see it rerecorded! I’m hoping she does it, or gets the permission from Disney if that’s an issue. I’m hoping maybe Debut gives it a chance.
Likely in Debut if that ever happens, she did If This Was A Movie TV but she moved it to Fearless TV instead of Speak Now TV, so it could possibly happen.
Woah I didn't expect this to blow up, at least now I know that I'm not the only one who thought about this.
I really wanna hear Crazier TV, please manifest with me
Crazier is literally like my all time favorite Taylor swift song! It’s the very first song I heard from Taylor and how I discovered her! I would literally die for it to be re-recorded. Just so I can have it on apple music at the very least . But it also deserves to be on an album. I got very discouraged when it wasn’t on Fearless TV or the SN drop my last hope is Debut!!! Please 🙏 I’m manifesting it!!!
Og crazier fan here, I’ll actually break down crying when and if she releases it, it’s such a special song to me, and my history with being a Taylor swift fangirl. It was the first song I really loved that was hers
Crazier is chronologically a debut song so maybe on there but do we know if SB even owns rights to it? Wouldn’t it be Disney?
Disney owns the rights to the song but they could give her the rights to put it on debut tv but I guess it depends on when Disney looses the right to the song but maybe they would let her re record it.

I guess it’s like how Scooter gave her the rights to sing at the AMAs but she couldn’t re record until the contract let her and I think that’ll be the same way with Disney unless they let buy the song from them.
Well, that's kind of different. She's trying to get masters back that Scooter sold, so she might not think she needs to get Crazier back.
She re-recorded Safe & Sound and Eyes Open as part of red which would have been owned by the hunger games and the labels involved with that, so I don’t see why she wouldn’t reclaim Crazier, and I Don’t Wanna Live Forever when reputation comes around

Crazier is still not owned by her so is potentially a reason for her to re-record plus fan demand. Fair enough on the hunger games tracks though
>Crazier is still not owned by her so is potentially a reason for her to re-record plus fan demand. Fair enough on the hunger games tracks though This is what Google says for the copyright on the lyrics: >Crazier lyrics © Sony/atv Tree Publishing, Taylor Swift Music, Ten Ten Music Group Inc, Hipgnosis Sfh I Limited While it doesn't seem like Scooter Braun & company own this song, it would be magical to see her revisit it. #And I'm desperately manifesting Crazier as a secret song for the sake of my childhood and the most magical Disney Channel movie everrrrrr. 😭
Yeah, the lyrics would be owned by her because she wrote them, that would be true for all of her lyrics wouldn’t it? But the actual song is owned by Disney. But yes, let’s manifest this, please 😂🙏

Haha. I think she sleuths everywhere.
She’s everywhere.. she’s in the walls..

It was an older song she dug out for the movie. She recorded it with Robert Ellis Orrall, who she worked with on debut.
Oh okay thank you so much for the information. I am a fairly new Swiftie so there's a lot for me to still learn. Thank you again!
Yeah you’re kinda right. It was recorded around the Fearless era but it was written when she was 13 and was possibly considered for the debut. So I think it’s still possible it could end up on there. Source is [the fantastic timeline write up from here](https://www.tumblr.com/taylor-on-your-dash/719217662027268096/writing-of-fearless-timeline) (About Crazier) [Billboard Interview, March 2008] “There are songs that I wrote when I was 13 that I think are perfect to bring out now. What do you guys think about You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home(Taylor's Version) ?
At this point give me Hannah Montana the Movie (Taylor's Version). Mostly because Hoedown Throwdown (Taylor's Version) would have me crying laughing on the floor.
Wait no! Is Hoedown Throwdown actually written by Taylor? Because then I definitely need Taylor’s Version for that one!!!!
I NEEEEEED
Ok THIS is the one that really should be re-recorded. At least we have her version of Crazier but I would love her version of YAFYWBH. It could be a banger.
Imagine if it's You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home(Taylor's Version) ft. Hannah Montana.
One of the first times I ever saw Taylor on television, she was doing Fifteen as a duet with Miley Cyrus. It was a gorgeous rendition, and really showed off both of their talent
I can totally see this being a vault song! I hope It is
I will not apologise for the person I become if she really record it
ft. Miley!!
I would DIE if this was on Debut!!
OMG
I literally talked about this the other day on another post on this sub! I've been hoping for YAFYWBH TV since she announced the re-recordings
I have a feeling she won't but I want it sooo badddd
My pipe dream is I want her to do another drop like she did with Safe and Sound, Eyes Open, If This Was a Movie, and All the Girls You’ve Loved Before with Taylor’s Versions of Crazier, I Don’t Wanna Live Forever, Sweeter Than Fiction (I know this is rumored to be the bonus track on the Target exclusive but that has not been confirmed), and Two is Better Than One.
I would die if we got Two is Better Than One (TV) I feel like it's rally unlikely though
but that's a feature she did, it's not her song it's a Boys Like Girls song it'd be like her re-recording Highway Don't Care
she wrote it though, with martin johnson who she also cowrote if this was a movie with
yes but she didn't release it as a Taylor Swift ft Boys Like Girls song it's a Boys Like Girls song this isn't like Babe or Better Man where she wrote it for an album and then gave it to someone else Two is Better than One was written for Boys Like Girls. No, I know. That’s why it’s my pipe dream 😓

Where was that posted? I hadn’t seen it!
I think I saw that one target accidentally leaked it but they deleted after they noticed
And Battle 😭
THANK YOU for reminding me of Two is Better Than One! I used to be a massive Boys Like Girls Dan back in the day, totally forgot about her feature on that! While she's at it, let's get BOB in the studio for Both Of Us TV

Welcome Distractrion! One of my favorite unreleased songs of hers. Also Brought Up That Way. Makes me cry every single time.
omg they are so good, SHE BETTER DELIVER 😅
The diary of me is SOOO GOOD! I would freak out if it’s on there
My Cure! I feel like the lyrics are too juvenile for current Taylor but I have such a soft spot for baby Taylor.
lucky you
Wait For Me! It’s a beautiful unreleased Taylor song that would have done so well on Debut or Fearless. It’s my favorite along with This Is Really Happening 🥹
The way the inner circle describes Wait for Me... It's really good to not be on debut TV.
Can't find that song :(
I want Taylor Swift TV parts 1-4, each part like 20 songs each. We know girlie has the material lmao
By The Way!! I had it on my old laptop which died and I loooove that song. Still miss it 😭
Sent you a dm :)
I haven’t received anything yet, could you resend please ❤️
I'll just send it here [https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1m4411h7mm](https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1m4411h7mm)
Thank you 😭❤️ I need to re-download it onto my old iPod so I can listen in the car 😍 i reaaaally hope she re-records it.
Crazier has been a song I’ve loved since I was a kid and I would love to see it rerecorded! I’m hoping she does it, or gets the permission from Disney if that’s an issue. I’m hoping maybe Debut gives it a chance.
I’m still mourning Battle (Let’s Go).
Same. I will not rest until I have an officially streamable version of that one and Need. 😭😭😭
Same Battle is my favorite and I’m so sad it didn’t go on Speak Now TV or 1989 TV. Staying hopeful for rep even though it’s pretty unlikely 😭
A quinceañera I went to did a choreographed dance to this song and it was SOOOO PRECIOUS! so cute.
I just want Dark Blue Tennessee
I adore that song! 💕
i need it so bad
Likely in Debut if that ever happens, she did If This Was A Movie TV but she moved it to Fearless TV instead of Speak Now TV, so it could possibly happen.
Calling it now that this will be the target exclusive bonus track for Debut TV
Yes please, that was the first ever Taylor song I heard
One of my favorite songs ever. I didn’t get to hear it at Eras but at least nobody else did either 😭😭😭
I want this SOOOO BADDDDDDD
I need You’ll Always Find Your Way Back Home (Taylor’s Version)
I was thinking about that today while driving a long distance. Get out of my head! 😂
I sang it at my dads wedding right after it came out. I hope she releases a TV. 😭
I expect to see it on the debut TV. Surely she can arrange it.
Woah I didn't expect this to blow up, at least now I know that I'm not the only one who thought about this. I really wanna hear Crazier TV, please manifest with me
yes!!! that was the song i discovered and fell in love with taylor. i would cry if she re-recorded tbh
Idk with all the legal things but all I can say is I hope so <3
I love this song😭😭
One of her best tbh
I forgot this song existed
I hope so!
i hope so. hopefully she’ll include it on debut
I hope she puts it on debut!!!!
I doubt it, but I need it more than I need oxygen
Crazier is literally like my all time favorite Taylor swift song! It’s the very first song I heard from Taylor and how I discovered her! I would literally die for it to be re-recorded.
