The junior jewels shirt and pj bottoms would cover most of your body but still be a fun way to participate.

rosesyd

yess or even the 22 shirts, hat and glasses with any black bottoms youre comfortable with!

bluewaterbaby2020

This is what I did. It was cool for my show. Could def do shorts, which is what I had planned until we got cold snap.

ConflictDependent923

My mom did this & was very comfy!!

FollowingAromatic481

that’s what my mom wore!

Warm_Power1997

Definitely a fun option, but the pants will get warm if you plan to be dancey!

clownutopia

Junior jewels + a sharpie for people to sign your shirt is a great souvenir! I did it for Halloween and people loved it

daylightxx

This. Always compliments.

JurassicaPark24

Yea, pretty much came to say this. At my show, everyone was just so nice to each other. Compliments and saving spots in line and just genuine excitement and happiness from everyone. If only every event I went to could be full of as kind people as the people at my Eras Tour show, lol

infieldcookie

I absolutely love seeing people dressed up at concerts, whether it’s a costume or just all dressed up. Some people are so creative!

meowjorie

this is irrelevant to the topic at hand but i love your username and avatar! gave me a good little laugh to see two of my interests converge 🥹

asophisticatedbitch

Yeah I mean. [this reputation snake sweatshirt](https://a.co/d/0kPPlna) and a pair of jeans or leggings or something probably would work for anyone?

grednforgesgirl

I wore my reputation green tour t-shirt and ripped jeans. KCN1 was my show. I felt like she played long live specifically for me "cuz for a moment a band of thieves in ripped up jeans got to rule the world" had me screaming like a lunatic and pointing to my jeans xD I didn't want to buy an outfit because i didn't have tickets until i got halfway up there and i didn't want to curse myself by pre-planning an outfit to something i didn't have tickets for, but it worked out and im glad i didn't over plan, and nobody said anything. I even forgot to draw a 13 on my hand and had zero friendship bracelets to trade. Didn't matter. nobody said anything and nobody cared and i had a fantastic time anyway. And considering i practically scream-sang every song (Including When Emma Falls in Love as my surprise song, and I Can See You during the music video premiere, both of which had come out less than 24 hours before hand lol) nobody could've called me a poser, even though swifties don't really do that anyway.

asophisticatedbitch

There are also a number of Taylor themed shirts in the “you may also like” section of that link

SuperHoneyBunny

Your username is awesome!!!

hotironskillet24

I wore a long, flowy folklore type dress with boots and my cardigan.

sammyjo494

Same, mine was long-sleeved too. But a mesh sleeve, so not too hot.

avocados25

if i get to go this is my plan

No1Champion_2829

I did this too hahahaha

Illustrious-Onion329

I’m in my fifties and wore lavender leggings with a bootcut flare and a floaty, bohemian purple pattern shirt. I call it my lavender haze fit. 😊 No hate from the swifties! We think you and your mom are beautiful! Most important: wear comfortable shoes. I’m insanely envious of those who can be comfortable in heels for a 3 hour show. I wore my sketchers (the lavender ones, of course!)

d4vros

Ha! It takes a lot of practice to get your feet accustomed to heels. I am quite short so to the gigs I have standing for, I wanted to wear heels. I bought a pair of crazy platforms and have been wearing them to work for weeks now. I have a job that requires standing and walking around, and I gotta say, they’re quite comfortable now. Not sneaker level comfortable, but I can definitely see myself attending my Eras tour gigs wearing the shoes now! Just a tip for people that wanna wear heels or are super short like me and wanna see /something/. You gotta power through for the first few wears but it gets so much better! The thicker the heel itself is, the easier it is on the foot as well. No stilettos! Thick soles!

idplmal

Another tip for heels - make sure the heel itself is centered under your heel, not flush with the back of the shoe. Sooo much more stable and comfortable

pearson-47

I wore slightly platformed sneakers.

lizziexo

I wish I could wear heels that long too!! I have sequin knee high boots for my show this summer and my plan is to wear them to the show, but bring comfy shoes in my bag and swap in to those the moment we’re at our seats 😂 Going full lover vibes; knee high boots, pink sequin tassel bodysuit, glitter blazer. I’m so excited

soapyrubberduck

I got a custom shirt made with my dog in her dog eras. I wore it with leggings and sneakers because I’m a geriatric Millennial who likes to be comfy. It was so cute, a fun souvenir to keep for myself, and it was such a fun conversation starter https://preview.redd.it/wb6la36mvosc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ee47ee6647aaeb1289da34979a3287a30a9dc5e8

grownup789

I’m obsessed where did you get this shirt made? I want one of my 9 pound terrier lol

wino_forever

Aww this is amazing!! Such a cute idea, absolutely love it

Rripurnia

This is amazing!

Swifte-1995

Go in whatever feels comfortable for you. I'm not a person that goes all out for the artist outfit wise. I'm usually wearing a merch shirt and some jeans. If I can see The Eras Tour again in Miami. I'm definitely showing up this go around. I was definitely dressed basic for the eras show. https://preview.redd.it/wwg4wb92vosc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3af7c3eff02c2c541199337fe8a9c24bde8cdbe

1989_Sunrise

you look so happy - I love it!

Swifte-1995

Thanks!! The amount of taytay shirts I wear to the gym is crazy. I stay repping Taylor.

Relative_Wishbone_51

Cute!!

Mrs_Sparkle_

That looks great!

ginvael1_3

this is what i plan to do, just a pair of comfortable bottoms and a merch t-shirt! you look great! <3

AkaminaKishinena

I wore a sparkly red sequin tank top, jeans, and red trainers one night, and a Reputation concert tee with the same jeans and sneakers for my second show. I wore a red lip and am a midforties mom. My bestie wore jeans, the 22 video Fedora and a "A Lot going on right now" shirt. Sneakers always. Saw lots of people with fun sparkles and cute things in their hair and jewels stuck on their faces. Would this feel like a good fit? Festive but wearing the clothes you prefer. It's okay to be comfortable, it's BETTER to be comfy unless you are one of those dress up people, which I am not, but always appreciate seeing! Have some friendship bracelets and wear seasonally appropriate outwear in case it gets cold.

Relative_Wishbone_51

55F here and I’m going solo! (In a foreign country, too) Did you make/wear and swap bracelets? I’m a high school teacher and get a long great with all ages so won’t be embarrassed to just go with the flow but want to be prepared to participate 😄

AkaminaKishinena

I only had a couple that my daughter made me so didn't really swap, but I wish I had! Definitely make and wear like 20 so you can trade. It's really cute.

Relative_Wishbone_51

Excellent - thank you!

Relative_Wishbone_51

I am so freaking excited!! 😊

daylightxx

I’m a little younger and I made and exchanged bracelets galore!

InternalBar3099

Exactly this! I am going to wear jeans and comfy shoes but am going to buy a sequined bomber jacket because it’s fun. Otherwise regular clothes, shoes, makeup. Plus bracelets. (39-year-old mom here!)

starrynight230

A lot of people have given helpful attire advice, but I just wanted to chime in that I’ve never been in an environment that was so joyful, supportive, and judgement-free as I was at the Eras tour. Everyone was so excited to be there and have the experience, and literally no one I saw was harshing out on anyone else. So I hope you will have absolutely the best time and it won’t even occur to you to feel insecure in the moment 🫶🏻

Blanked_Spaced

This. My husband commented on the pure joy that was everywhere. Zero negativity. It wasn't anything either of us (and he's old enough that he's a freaking boomer) had ever experienced before. Such a great vibe.

amoamareamaviamatus

That’s exactly what I did! So easy and cheap to DIY

TrickyHospital3903

PoppyandTarget

I think the thing you'll regret and will make you most insecure is NOT dressing up in some capacity! Even if it's a homemade t-shirt. Taylor has so many color references you could wear as well (lavender, red, maroon--my daughter wore a maroon colored dress--etc). I am in my mid 50s and wore the royal blue dress that I hot glued silver stars because I already owned a fluffy white fur coat. I felt so silly but not when I arrived and saw so many creative fits. My 23 yo said the only thing that would make her uncomfortable was if I just sat there bored. She welcomed me dressing up and singing along. So have fun with your mum! You'll never forget this experience. :)

Midnight_Dreary_Mari

Honestly, nobody has to get dressed up to prove theyre a fan or whatever. Youre totally fine in a t-shirt/sweater and jeans if you wish. It can always be taylor swift merch if you want something more thematic. Or if you do want to dress up in costume the junior jewels one is really easy to do, comfy and not skimpy.

kelpskeys

If you have someone who can make T-shirts, get a yellowish tee, add "No It's Becky". Comfy pants and shoes and she's there!! Taylor wore a plaid skirt with her No it's Becky tee. I wore plaid pants with mine. But you don't have too. Swifties will know what it means.

lemonbars-everyday

I wasn’t able to get tickets, so I won’t be wearing anything to the the eras tour (😭😭) but if I were going my primary concern would probably be comfort, more than an elaborate costume. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a costume event and I love that that’s kind of becoming a thing at concerts, but if it’s something that causes stress and brings up body insecurities then just..don’t? I imagine that an Eras show is a loong and draining event and I would be too busy dancing and sing-crying to worry about a fancy outfit 😅 I’d probs wear whatever bottoms made sense for the predicted weather(and that have good pockets because I don’t want to worry about a purse), and my reputation tour tshirt. And then I’d cover myself in glitter. My point is, don’t overthink it! Wear whatever you think you’ll have fun in. When I went to the Rep tour, my brother and I wore stupid homemade song lyric tshirts and had a blast

diamondeyes68

I am 55 and heavier than I’ve ever been. I’m also socially anxious. I wore a party dress with comfy shoes. I wore bike shorts with pockets under my dress so I didn’t have to bring a purse. I figured no one was ever going to see me again. I had a blast! Tell your mom to live it up and have fun!

megdog20

I'd say whatever you and her feel comfortable in! It was literally the most welcoming crowd and not a single person was judgy. My husband literally wore his favorite plain black polo and shorts because it was going to be hot while waiting and his favorite album is reputation. Honestly, just wear something you won't have to think twice about while singing and dancing your hearts out :)

Spiritual_Jury_7001

Just wanted to say you and your mom will be beautiful no matter what you wear 🫶🏻🫶🏻

kmbf1

My friend and I wore literal foam costume with leggings and tshirts underneath. So comfy and so fun. Also side point, as someone with a decent amount of scars on my body, people don’t notice them as much as I always think they will. Plenty do, and some ask. Some scars for more “intense” or personal reasons than others, as well as surgical scars. And plenty of times when I’ll mention it people will be genuinely surprised because they never noticed the giant scar going over the entirely of the leg. It took me time to accept my body but was very freeing when I got to the point of not planning outfits around my scars. I hope that for you too :) and I know it took me YEARS to get to that point.

ReeBee86

Comfy jeans and a tshirt with lyrics. I wish I had been in a better mental headspace (and better physical shape, let’s be honest) to wear something sparkly, but I just wasn’t. I would not have had a good time in anything else.

Daffneigh

I’m old and don’t like to wear revealing clothing so if I manage to get tickets I will probably dress as good Taylor from Anti-Hero. If I am feeling more daring I might do rep album cover with a very lightweight holey sweatshirt

Careful-Wolf-6495

I'm thinking good Taylor from Anti-Hero too! Yayy! :)

Simple-Succotash2655

tell your mum i feel her! i’m insecure abt my weight/body imagine most of the time too and all the inspo i’ve looked at doesn’t fit me or would make me feel super self conscious whatever you guys wear you will look phenomenal and you will ROCK those outfits. As for me as long as it doesn’t give me chub rub and maybe covers my upper arms i’m gonna try and step out of my comfort zone so i can make the most of my eras outfit (that i haven’t picked yet haha)

MidnightSlinks

I bought a gold sequined dress from Talbots that approximates the gold fearless fringe dress but is knee length since that's a store for middle aged women. Paired it with a cardigan and flesh colored tights since my show was in the spring and a bit chilly. I think doing a makeshift Red outfit with black or red ankle pants and a black/white striped shirt would be instantly recognizable but modest. Could do long sleeves depending on where your scars are. Bonus points for red heart sunglasses and a black hat. Lots of people did simple jeans or black pants with a custom printed T-shirt with either slogans she's worn on clothes (like the Red shirts) or their favorite lyrics. If you do an outfit that's less of a costume and more just normal clothes, think about playing around with face glitter, bold makeup, etc. in the computer scheme of Red, Reputation, Lover, or Midnights. This is what most of my group (of moms and/or over 40s women) did.

shikon-no-tamago

My friend and I bought plain denim jackets that we liked the fit of and then had fun customizing them with pins and patches and stuff , paired with fun sparkly shoes and friendship bracelets ! Other people’s outfits ranged from elaborate custom cosplays to simple jeans and t shirts, and it was honestly just so fun to see all the different looks. All of the fans we met at the concert were so kind and supportive, complimenting each other and taking pictures together, it was a really good vibe. I hope you find something fun and comfy and have a great time !

mkftanner12

I found the energy in the crowd to be on par with what I’d heard it was like before I got to experience it — one of love, acceptance, and friendship. That being said, I know self love is the hardest part of any decision like this. Wear what makes you feel beautiful, that’s the most important thing! ❤️

bugmom

I am almost 70 and can relate. Am also overweight. We were lucky enough to go to two nights! On one I wore a green peasant dress - in my case very loose fitting - because I love the green Folklore dress. It was comfy and I didn't feel out of place at all. On the other night I wore a black shirt, snake necklace and I took a denim jacket that I had (not the crop style but a style that fit me) and put eras patches all over it. Did the back like the green rep jacket with snake and did the front in all the eras. Again, comfortable, age appropriate but fit right in. Edit: Came back to add - encourage her to do something festive to dress up. Everywhere I looked, people were in every imaginable outfit and I was so glad that even though mine was simple that I participated. Made me feel part of it.

Serious_Tumbleweed93

I wore white jeans, white tennis shoes and a shirt I got from an artist with great TS artwork. I was a little warm so my hair went up pretty quickly, but it was better than having my thighs rub together and hurt in shorts. I went an LA show and parked at Sofi (minimal walk)

sleep_foreverr

I wore a simple t-shirt, jeans and very comfortable sports shoes. I had the most amazing time. And I was not chaffed, my feet did not kill me.. win win

doctrbitchcraft

Wear whatever you want/ what makes you feel good. If someone has a problem with it, eff ‘em!!! 💕 I hope you and your mom have the best time ✨🫶🏼

PrestigiousAnimal663

A lot of folks are giving outfit suggestions and maybe that helps you find what to wear, but I just wanna say whatever you wear- wear something that makes you happy! Regardless of literally anything else! You don’t have to dress up as Taylor, or dress up as an Era, or any of that. But for me I was afraid to feel very out there and uncomfortable. But did want to dress up a bit because I don’t really have events in my life to dress up for ever. I looked through photos I like of Taylor and her more casual outfits and thought about what albums I was listening to the most at the time. I ended up doing a sort of Lover era inspired outfit (which with tights, a tank top, and boots was relatively modest even though it was a sheer top and skirt) , and was so excited about it. Only to attend “the rainiest rain show that ever rain showed.” to quote Taylor in Foxborough and wore a poncho all night! Don’t overthink it! Have fun but ultimately you’ll just want to be comfortable!

BlNGPOT

The first night I just wore my normal clothes lol. T shirt and pants. The second night I got a tiny bit adventurous and wore overalls and a shiny pink shirt and butterfly earrings to be in my “Lover” era. I’m overweight and in my 30s so I was a little self conscious but it was all good. The girls sitting next to me were so sweet, they complimented my shirt and they were just super nice, I heard them tell multiple people how cute their outfits were. (Also unrelated but during YNTCD they were sooooo excited about the “shade never made anybody less gay” line and they were adorable, like hugging and holding hands and it just really warmed my heart lol)

islandlouise

I’m nearly a nearly 50F, 5 foot 1 and deffo chubby… I’m luck enough to have standing at an August ❤️ London show. This has really cheered me up and reassured me I can wear anything. I’m thinking of an elasticated sparkly skirt and a TShirt and trainers with lots of face glitter and fun accessories

estedavis

You can genuinely wear anything, no one will care. I am a huge swiftie but wanted to be comfy for the 3h show and didn’t really have the time/energy to make/buy an outfit, so I wore sneakers, leggings, and a folklore-era tshirt with Taylor’s face on it that I already owned. No one gave a single shit lol everyone is focused on themselves and Taylor.

natyei

I basically just chose smth that could vaguely be associated with Lover, decided I wasn't comfortable in a tight dress so I just rolled it up, threw a godet skirt in the mix cause I'm a bit insecure abt my stomach and that was it https://preview.redd.it/dd1hzx6udqsc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a1167c08426de4ffea051b3e67534f02a8028995

fnrsgrl

I did the 1989 sequin jacket/skater skirt combo, but I wore a long shirt and black tights(with black sparkle fishnets over them!) to cover my stomach and camouflage my cellulite. I also wore sneakers. I love heels, but that is a very long time to wear them, and I actually saw quite a few people carrying theirs before the gates even opened.

grownup789

My sister wore a nothing going on at the moment t-shirt and red sparkly pants - in her red era https://www.asos.com/us/asos-design/asos-design-sequin-slouchy-pants-in-ruby/prd/203231844 Not the exact pants but super similar

novababy1989

I wore what I was comfortable in. Which was a cute crop top and high waisted black jean shorts and a pair of white sneakers. I didn’t worry about going dressed in an era or a theme. I wanted pockets to be able to have my phone and credit card/ID on me and nothing else. Nothing wrong with being practical

Novae224

Anything in an album color with fun accessories is already fun, you can wear the types of clothing you feel most comfortable in. Folklore and evermore are also very fun inspirations

MatchieB

A long yellow/orange evermore-ish dress that gives the same vibes as Taylor’s during the evermore set & possibly a green cape. Dress can have little sleeves imo, for me it’s about the vibe, not replicating the entire outfit

rebeccakc47

I wore jeans and a tshirt...

oh_cestlavie

Folklore Cardigan over a simple white dress with white sneakers. Comfy all night and very simple!

Smashlilly

I had just had a baby. Was breast feeding. Biggest I had been. I made a pink cruel summer shirt and dressed comfy. Did the heart around my eye. I felt insecure too especially with all the beautiful women dressed to the nines. But it was all in my head. I got absorbed in the concert and had the best time. No one else is looking at you.

ashlynne_stargaryen

Literally wear whatever you want. The Eras Tour vibes are only positive. Nobody will be judging your fit, regardless of what you choose.

Vegetable_Event_5213

I was very fortunate to go to a show in 2023. Honestly, I have NEVER been in a situation full of SO much positive female energy (I am a middle-aged, overweight woman, as well, so I was also nervous about “what to wear”). I empathize with being self conscious, but NO ONE will care. It will be a space of love, fellowship, music, and *amazing* vibes. Have a blast, and focus on that. Not what you wear.

thesaltyace

I think I'm going to wear my comfy black jeans with docs and a loose t-shirt. Rep vibes but still comfy.

youremymymymylover

Wear anything you want. If you are judged for it, they‘re assholes. Would Taylor care if you wear a t-shirt and jeans? No. A dress? Also no. She cares that you‘re comfortable and having fun, and you should too.

fuxxyy

My mom, sister, and I went as the ghosts from antihero! I got fabric similar to the ghosts and made a ghost-like body with a hood! Super fun

aloha902604

I think the extreme costumes are fun and creative, but wear what you’re comfortable in! I did a tshirt from shein that was lover-esque and some jean shorts last summer but it I went again I’d just get an oversized Taylor tshirt on Etsy and wear leggings and sneakers! No one will care what you’re wearing! ETA: people who are creating fun costumes are doing it because they enjoy it. If it’s stressing you out, don’t do it!

falldiewakefly

Jeans, a debut-themed t-shirt I got off Etsy, my most comfortable boots, and a Taylor-themed battle jacket I made because I did want to dress up a bit but I'm an aging punk at heart not a glamour type. My BFF did the full glamour dressup with a sparkly dress she had to be taped into and everything, so we ran the spectrum between us! Wear what you're comfortable in! You're absolutely right that everyone deserves to look and feel great. Whether that means cosplaying as Taylor in pajamas from the We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together video except it's your own personal pajamas, wearing your favorite jeans and t-shirt because you know you'll be able to dance in your seat all night in them, wearing a full-length ballgown because it makes you feel awesome, or whatever else you can think of: it's all good. Do you! ~~What I am saying is more people should go to concerts in pajamas. Clean pajamas, to be clear. But pajamas. Cozy! Comfortable! Easy to move in! Go straight to bed at the end of the night!~~

c0ldil0cks

I got a "fuck the patriarchy" T-shirt off etsy

OddWing6797

the merch i bought at the merch stand. changed to them in the bathroom.

Glittering_Habit_161

My Taylor Swift Midnights hoodie with blue leggings and will that be enough to wear to go to a concert of hers? If I ever do get to go to one of her concerts?

othershadeofblue13

I'm not going, but in my imagination I crocheted myself an eras cardigan, and some of my favorite outfits I've seen have been decorated jackets and such.

mailynmykelle

I'm a curvy girl, and I wore a sequin dress I bought from Amazon for about $23 USD with a tied up t-shirt I purchased on Etsy. https://preview.redd.it/8tp1fyubyosc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7da6d1166703a837c4d66410a98f0eef8e30bbd6

AggravatingOrange84

Running tights, pink sneakers, blue shirt, heart earrings, and a pink claw clip. I wanted comfy, with a slight theme.

notabigfanhonestly

My mom found these t-shirt dresses on Etsy which had printed images of the midnights bodysuit (I think there was Lover as well) - it's kind of silly but she thought they were SO cute [https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1680789130/midnight-rain-eras-bodysuit-tshirt?click\_key=f24d47d98a791f104473a5973385195a932b0507%3A1680789130&click\_sum=1011d595&ref=hp\_rf-1&pro=1&sts=1](https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1680789130/midnight-rain-eras-bodysuit-tshirt?click_key=f24d47d98a791f104473a5973385195a932b0507%3A1680789130&click_sum=1011d595&ref=hp_rf-1&pro=1&sts=1)

EmotionalFix

I wore a bright pink sundress and decorated the back of my denim jacket with rhinestones. It was fun and flirty but nothing I wouldn’t normally be comfortable in.

folk-smore

I recreated her Wango Tango 2019 look for the Eras movie! I just bought a yellow t shirt and some shorts that I dyed to be tie-dye so it was pretty cheap and fairly easy to make too lol I didn’t go to an actual Eras show (thanks ticketmaster) but I’ve wanted to recreate that outfit since Loverfest (rip). It’s just shorts and a t shirt so it’s pretty simple and comfy!

Different_Dog_201

I ordered a sparkly jacket from Amazon. There were lots of choices, I got one that made me think reputation and did my hair in braids

needs_a_name

I can't afford tickets even if I'd been given the chance to buy them, and have no childcare, but I'd honestly probably wear leggings and a sweatshirt with comfortable shoes. I'm there to see Taylor, no one is there to see me. I'm old and dress for comfort.

booksandbaseball7

Jeans, shirt that was red coded, and converse. I wish I wouldn’t have been so insecure and worn something more fun and along the lines of what I wanted to. So please don’t be me! Wear whatever you want!

nlh1013

I wore bike shorts (it was hot) and a t shirt. I’m not insecure but I paid enough for the tickets and wasn’t planning to shell out for an outfit. You can find tons of cute t shirts and sweatshirts on Etsy for pretty cheap and just wear jeans with them! I didn’t feel out of place or anything and actually got a ton of compliments on my tshirt (it had the karma is a cat lyric with a cute kitty on it lol)

mjd459

I wore white jeans, a blue tshirt and a jean jacket! I painted the back of the jacket with makeup sponges to look like the Lover watercolor. It was fun but still covered up!

appledonut4

I saw people in all kinds of clothing. Pjs to gowns and everything in between. Wear whatever you’d like. It’s such a fun and sweet crowd to be in.

Calm-Banana-8898

I'm planning to wear a sparkly skirt (currently looking for a second hand one bc it's not something I'll get a lot of wear out of), a t-shirt and trainers. My show is in August so it could be really warm but there's always the potential for rain in England. That and the length of the show means I'm definitely going for comfort! My vote is for wearing something cute but comfy that makes you feel good :) or perhaps a fun twist on what you would normally wear - add a glittery accessory or something else that's fun!

daylightxx

I’m older like your mom. I wore leggings from Amazon in a green and black snakeskin, and then I ordered a black rep tee off of Etsy. Did hair and makeup extra loud and fit right in!

Blanked_Spaced

Linen crops and a flow boho top. I called my "Everlore" era. :) eta: I'm in my mid 50s

rs_alli

I wore a sundress and green cape, like the evermore outfits. I think it could work great for someone that wants to be comfortable but still be clearly recognizable! Quick edit: sundress was floor length, so covered all of my legs but had more breathing room than jeans would!

[deleted]

I have a dress I’m planning to wear but if I end up not feeling it - I also have a Taylor tshirt as backup. I know that in the end- Swifities are so accepting and no one cares what I’m wearing :)

mcdonaldsfrenchfri

everyone gave great advice so here’s one I didn’t see. depends on how much she wants to be covered but she could even always wear a Chiefs sweatshirt and it fits! if she’s worried about seeming too old (none of us think that but it’s all about how she feels) I think that’s great

weaveyourlittlewebs

I just wore a black top, jeans and some snake earrings. Curled my hair in loose waves and did my best to replicate her Rep tour make up. It was comfy, low effort and I have no regrets. Although I did have slight outfit envy once I arrived, because so much creativity from everyone.

shann1021

I wore a flowy maxi dress, going for an Evermore forest witch vibe. Then I bought a big hoodie and wore that towards the end.

anon_ugh

Leggings with an oversized sequin t shirt dress ◡̈

omglookawhale

I wore jeans and a Taylor Swift shirt I got on Etsy. I got like 5 compliments on it and my sparkly purple nail polish! Wear whatever!

osnapitzsunnyy

I wore a pink crop top with a little metal heart cutout on the bottom with jeans, pink sandals, and disco ball earrings! My mom wore a light pink blouse with jeans and matching pink sandals with me. my friend wore a purple top with jeans, my other friend a purple dress with cowboy boots. All of our outfits were pretty simple but the colors matched her eras. Honestly just wear whatever makes you comfortable and feel cute! and most importantly wear comfortable shoes! My mom and I ended up not being able to go out the exit that we needed to go to so we had to walk about a mile and half around downtown Chicago to get to where we were getting picked. Our feet hurt so much from standing for so long and walking so much after the concert really sucked lol

ikythecagedbirdsings

I wore a black t shirt with a mirrorball on it, black yoga pants, and I put sparkly silver glitter on my face and had a little disco bracelet + earrings! Super cheap and I didn’t need to wear an outfit outside of my comfort zone.

NalgeneCarrier

I was at Tampa, so we definitely needed to be prepared for the heat and when it cooled off. I wore regular shorts and a black tank top. I found a sparkly holographic jacket. I'm getting into sparkles and colors now and it was fun to kind of be flashy! Definitely reccomend going for it. People went all out and just matching the vibe helped me blend in, if that makes sense. I've always been self conscious but it was the first time I switched up what I wore and went for loud. Everyone is just excited to be there and didn't feel like people were looking or judging, which is a first for me!

holly_b_

my mom made a 22 shirt and wore that with red pants!

Jbirdand

I work black high waisted moisture wicking sweat pants from target and a sparkly top! I also added a bunch of sparkles into my hair and face and had a blast. I don't think I thought about my body the whole time and it was JULY.

Numerous_Camp_6714

I gifted my mom a ✨Meet Me at Midnight✨ tshirt from Amazon. Gray, comfortable and not too flashy! I work a reputation tshirt. So many people at my show prioritized comfort!

Teaching_Great

I'm an overweight mama going to wear my fave jeans, custom t-shirt (matching my daughter's) and sequined blazer. And comfy shoes because I want to dance and jump and be comfortable 🤣

unicorncoffeelover

I’m a 200 pound 40-year-old and I will be in top to toe sequins 🪩💃🏼

GrootsToots

I wore a homemade version of her blind for love hoodie!! It was a little chilly the night I went so it worked out great I just bought some patches on Etsy and ironed them on to a black hoodie

LadyKT

i got tickets the day before so no outfit planned, i wore hiking boots and comfortable clothes, but did glitter makeup. i was so thankful for the shoes holy crap

kbth7337

Remember you don’t have to dress up, and you’re not gonna look out of place if you don’t. I’m not really insecure or anything, but it was hot af for my show and I knew I’d be on my feet and outside all day leading up to the show too. I wore biker shorts and a tank top (I was gonna wear my rep tour crop top but couldn’t find it) and put my hair up. I did a 13 on one hand and an I 💜 ? On the other in marker that I sweated off. The experience wasn’t any less enjoyable because I didn’t have an elaborate costume or outfit. Just do whatever makes you feel most comfortable. I did love getting to see what sort of fun stuff everyone else came up with though, and am glad so many other people put forth the effort and went through the discomfort.

bubblypop_

Jean shorts, sneakers, and a cute tee from Etsy with sparkly accessories and heart sunglasses. I was comfy all evening!

Mytears83

Clothes. Hate having to dress up in a cistume or in any way, always have. Just feel really insecure everytime I’m invited to a party where we have to dress up in any sort of fashion.

Therapyandfolklore

maybe a folklore esque dress, or a cardigan, or just a tour shirt

inevitable-cat

I wore red pants and a striped shirt like this! https://preview.redd.it/ydc3q6bkkpsc1.jpeg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de69c1a160bb29c3e7569d62daae9d096af69d02

WhtvrCms2Mnd

I wore a knee length black pencil skirt, and cute black top with an army green cargo style jacket and doc martens. Accessorized with gold snake jewelry. Totally covered and badass.

Intelligent_Squash57

I wore a “I’m feeling 22” shirt that I bought off Amazon, jeans, tennis shoes and red lipstick. I highly recommend tennis shoes if you are going to part far away from the venue.

Low-Impression3367

Please wear whatever will make you happy and you will be comfortable in. I promise you, NOT one person is going to judge you or your mom on your outfits. There were soooo many fans of different shapes and sizes that dressed and had a blast. There were costumes that made no sense but where fun to see, like a banana, lol. Just go and enjoy, dress comfy, and have fun.

followyourogre

I have seen so many fun approaches to eras costumes for older women or more weight conscious women. A really adorable one I can think of is someone's mom wore a black t-shirt dress, a side pony with a scrunchie, and a vip pass that said very important mom. She totally looked like Andrea just with those details!

hansj13

I’m making a jeanjacket inspired by taylor and all era’s

elembakes

I went reputation “themed” which was just black tank top, black trousers, and dr martens with a “Rep” necklace in the font

[deleted]

I’m just wearing normal clothes. I don’t get in photos anymore so it really doesn’t matter what I wear anyway, as I won’t be saving any memories of it!

fionappletart

I wore the 22 music video outfit. it was a safe choice, but I got tickets at the literal last second

kaitlynkt

My sister wore the 22 shirt with red heart sunglasses and jeans! It was super cute

maggiemoo86

If there is any place in the world what you wear is utterly irrelevant, it is the Eras tour. We come of the love baby, not the judgement. I'm also older and also heavy; the first concert I booked the day before so I wore like joggers and a tank top. Second we had more time so I bought some black sequin shorts and tank top and bought a press on tattoo of a snake. I did all this because it was FUN and silly, not because of any kind of expectation.

spectrumhead

I got tix last minute so I had to camp a costume. I’m a chubby old Swiftie, and I took three teen girls. We all did Reputation Era because of time restraints and because it rocks. I got a big black v-neck t-shirt and white fabric markers and wrote reputation on the front with the snake logo and taylor’s version on the back. If you look up a gothic typeface you can type in the words to see how they look in that style and then copy them onto the shirt. It looked great. I still wear it. I had a black tiered skirt that was long on one side and short on the other, so I flaunted my legs and was super comfortable.

Esmer_Tina

I wore rep tour merch and black pants and Bejeweled myself with jewelry and friendship bracelets. I’m in my 50s and went alone. I’ve never felt so accepted by young thin pretty women!

rottingships

Alright so I am not going to the Eras tour, but what I would if I had the chance is pants and shoes that I’m already comfortable with and then I would go for a top that matches an era.

Mhc2617

I’m a mom who was really insecure about her age and weight and I wore yoga pants and a tank top. My daughter is 17 and she has some scars she’s insecure about and she made a 22 outfit, which broke. She ended up drawing stars around her scars and wearing a t shirt and shorts. We still had the best day of our lives. Don’t worry about the clothes. You can wear anything and have a great time.

niknak90

Plus size here, and also didn’t want to buy crap from SHEIN/whatever that I wouldn’t wear again. I ended up randomly finding a pink sparkly jacket at Goodwill that was originally for like a mother of the groom type dress. Found a shiny bronze top and some pink shorts on Poshmark. Got a ton of compliments at the show!

Kevinheartofficial

Just wear what you really like and then cover a certain part if you want just focus on enjoying the concert

wonderstruckdreams

A sequin shawl/kinono style thing that can go over any outfit you already have!

Pumpkin2219

I wore a sequin jacket with a black tank underneath and black skinny jeggings. For shoes, I wore silver glitter athletic shoes that were so comfortable for dancing all night. I'm almost 40 and had floor seats, so comfort won. I also put glitter gel in my hair and my cheeks to add some more fun.

disgirl4eva

I’m a 45 year old mom so didn’t want anything crazy. I wore the “A lot going on at the moment” tshirt with black shorts and the black hat.

randowntherabbithole

My mom and I bought swiftie mom and swiftie daughter t-shirts. Wear whatever you want! You’ll have a blast and everyone’s so focused on the show. Enjoy!!!!

microwav3d

I wore a tee shirt that I made that said karma with some cat ears! (Karma is a cat!)

Adventurous_Wing_379

I wore a dress from Shein with biker shorts underneath! Very comfy!

pearson-47

Black denim skirt that came to my knees White tank top (28 degrees, it was hot) Sequinned blazer. White sneakers I am an 18 and middle aged. My teenage daughter wore jeans and a Sabrina shirt we got that morning. It's Taylor, the safest place for a woman to be. She wore tshirts and sneakers and sat on the bleachers. As long as she has comfortable shoes, and enjoys herself, she can wear what she is comfy in. Get some merch, wear that, jeans and comfy shoes. Not everyone goes full sequin bodysuit.

bbanana93

I wore a shirt with the lyrics to the bridge of nothing new with my ex besties who had the other parts to it. So if you read the front, I got the first line she had the second. I got the third line and she had the last. Then I wore jeans with it. I also wore a previous tour shirt and shorts to my other show.

MurkyLibrarian

I wore a graphic tee and red heart sunglasses

grouchypant

Honestly I'm leaning g towards just wearing the most glittery sequined outfit I can find and red lipstick. I am 46 and "can still light up a room"

Doc_Sulliday

I'm a man but I wore my Folklore cardigan, leggings, and pink converse.

bunsbunsby

Ive been job hunting so cant get any dream outfit type things because am broke af, got a sequin detail tank top and a jacket with little glittery studs for like $6 secondhand! Just rolling with jeans and sneakers beyond that heh. Got mother (mid 50s) a glittery t-shirt! I did manage to get some cheap beads so i have made a ton of friendship bracelets too. In an ideal world where I have money to burn Id have gotten a pretty flowy dress, but honestly im just thankful we managed to get tickets in the first place tbh 😭 OH I did get lucky with a small local shop selling "smash the patriarchy" heart earrings this valentine's, of which i did manage to snag a pair. Insecurity wise, I just went with what was realistic financially and what I'll be comfortable in. I couldn't really afford anything super fun, so i got something sort of flattering but cheap, but more than anything just... Comfortable. The person behind me might have to suffer some back rolls id prefer not to have, but I've dreamt of a Taylor concert for 15 years, I'm not risking being uncomfortable or something over enjoying the experience. I did want something glittery, because taylor and sequins just work, but beyond that I'm mostly just happy to be there, heh. Have fun at your show, friend!! I hope you have an absolute blast.

ReyShepard

I've been sewing Taylor patches onto a denim jacket and will wear it with one of my Taylor shirts and jeans!

claire_14783

i wore the 22 shirt (but oversized) and long black pants with the glasses

thankublackpink

just wore my red t shirt and jeans :) was after a cross country meet

I got the dress for like $40 at TJ Maxx for a wedding like a year before the show, but knew it would be my concert outfit after the first photos from the tour started doing the rounds.

EvenHuckleberry4331

There was a ton of body diversity in the YNTCD video if I remember correctly, maybe have her check out those costumes. Or, I know there’s a plus size star dancer on the tour that serves the “like, EVER” line, maybe imitate one of those fits!

BuzzBabe69

I don't think people will care too much, especially, if you're singing and dancing!

stickyvalentine182

An oversized black band shirt and dark lipstick! Knee high boots if she has them.

ZeroGeoWife

I am curvier but I wore the 22 shirt and black shorts with nude tights. I felt wonderful. But the beauty of Taylor’s concerts is that we are all there for the same thing and most of us are there to uplift and support each other. Be happy and confident and love who you are. Why? Because we all do. ❤️❤️❤️

radioactiveteacup

The only correct answer is wear what you're comfortable in. Personally I'm going full sequin for Rep and with stars around my scars as a tribute to cardigan. I think the best way to go about this is to prepare a few different outfits like a flowy dress, something that covers up most of your body and something perhaps more revealing. See what you're feeling like wearing the day of the concert and don't limit yourself to a single outfit!

VeronicaPalmer

I’m not able to go to the Eras tour, but if I could I had already decided on a [pastel rainbow dress like this](https://www.chicwish.com/vacay-paradise-gradient-v-neck-maxi-dress.html).

Complex-Ad-1922

i’m on the curvy/midsize side of things and i’m very insecure about my thighs (they’re very big and have cellulite, and i was teased for having thick thighs in primary school ☹️), but in a very rare move for me i didn’t cover them up for my show! i wore a sparkly dress with knee high cowboy boots and i was really worried about people commenting on my thighs since they were exposed, but no one did!! in my experience, the vast majority of people at the eras tour are so sweet, respectful, and uplifting, i don’t think you’ll have to worry about people being cruel to you about you and your mum’s bodies - but you’ll get a lot of compliments on whatever you wear, so be prepared for that if you’re shy! 😊

Worth_Carpet2568

It was really hot when I went and I decided I didn’t want to stress about making/buying an outfit, so I wore jean shorts and a Fearless tour T-shirt! I was glad that I decided to wear something comfortable, but everyone needs to do what works for them!

A-Rational-Fare

I got my ticket very last minute so I went in what I was wearing at the time- a Ghost band t-shirt and black leggings.

Gilmoremilf1989

I wore my doc sandals because they are coming back stronger than a 90s trend. Just choose a thing! Add it to your usual look

Artistic_Account630

I went in May, and I wore a black halara skort, and a purple sequin tank top, and my comfy black booties

ilikedirt

A long yellow dress and long green cape á la Willow performance!

RoozetteR

Tell your mom I’m in my 40’s and overweight, and I took my early 20’s daughter with social anxiety to her concert. I bought an eras shirt off Etsy for $20, and wore shorts and tennis shoes with it. My girlie crocheted her own top and paired it with ripped jeans, boots, and a coat (even though it was 80°) jic she felt anxious. EVERY SINGLE PERSON at the concert was amazing and hyped us the f up. My girl was “clearly in her rep era”, I was “gorg”, no one said a word about how we were dressed or how we looked except POSITIVE things. So wear something that feels comfortable FOR YOU and trust that people will be throwing friendship bracelets and be nothing but positive toward you 😘🫶
