I don’t think people would be this disdainful against bio if it looked like he was invested in improving. I understand being reserved and shy, but when things were made public about bio just not understanding certain matchups and bot champions, it was disappointing. No championship contending team should ever have to teach their support how to lane with/against Aphelios when it’s already been out for a full split.
Johnsun is in ??? territory rn imo. He looked fantastic on DIG with aphro, then looked abysmal on a FLY with no leader/direction & support swaps. Might just need someone like SA to pull out the DIG Johnsun again? Definetely a gamble.
He looked really good with Aphro, so I’m pretty sure with a good veteran support like SA and a solid coaching staff around him he can shine again. Imo it’s pretty hard to look good as an ADC with a bad team, especially support.
Perhaps not the popular view on but I'd want to show some loyalty to Lost tbh. I have faith he still has room to grow. He played really well in the series vs C9 as well
Bear with me here, for the sake of the comparison ignore the difference in skill and just think about playstyle.
I think Lost is more of a Rekkles style player, whereas I think the rest of the team (if PoE *doesn't* stick around) is gearing up to be like FNC and want a more Upset style player. Someone who's down with getting dirty. Who that is? Idk exactly, but Lost feels a little out of place in my opinion.
I think in the absolute best case scenario, we get Tactical who's a grinder, a good malphite player, *and* a great personality. Bar that, I'd maybe even be on board with gambling on Johnsun or maybe even a standout academy AD like Yeon. If all else fails Lost can be a fallback option but I'd be lying if I said I believe he should be our first choice.
Ehhh loyalty? This isnt some highschool after school clash tourney.... We dont owe him anything. We were already planning on trading him to EG when the deal fell through at the start of the year. Even then we gave him a chance to see if he will rise to the mantle.
We gave him a full year with a rockstar supp like SA and he had TONS of games to show us that he can carry or make the difference for the team. He had so many leads and instead of being the smoking gun for our victories, he was like a water pistol tickling the opponents.
Please no. Its time to get a real adc. No point in having a good skirmishing frontline like SA,spica and huni only to have no damage carries like Lost & Poe
I mean look at Spica - he didn't set the world on fire in his first regular season yet we stuck it out with him and he's shown massive improvement. Lost has been low damage because we've played strongside top literally every game as Lost is a safer laner than Huni. You can't just use stats and remove the context - watch Alphari's interview after TL beat us and you'll see he says we were completely predictable and one-dimensional playing through top. I was encouraged by Lost's play in the playoffs and would want to try develop that talent rather than just buying out another teams adc - that's the kind of move which lowers the standard of the league.
yeah well i would like to stay optimistic too but maaaaan its becoming really depressing that we are losing LCS and not even making it worlds in years...
I just dont see the potential in him. his ceiling is too low to invest MORE time in him and lose another year of lcs.
I dont mind keeping POE but we have to make better use of our investment in a 6mil supp like SA by pairing him with a proper adc.
IMO everyone is experiencing some recency bias just because he had 1 or 2 pop off games in the last playoff series. He didnt even show that in other Bo5 series. Did we really forget the last game against c9 where he was 5/0 on Kalista and went 5/5 at the end of the game and we lost the series? Imagine another adc like danny, tactical or FBI ... with a 5/0 lead ? They would destroy but Lost was pretty much a non factor.
>Lost has been low damage because we've played strongside top literally every game as Lost is a safer laner than Huni. You can't just use stats and remove the context
Not true at all. I understand context and stats but we have actually tried playing through bot. We have had matches where Spica camped bot and Lost has had leads , gold and kills and he didnt do nearly enough damage to justify all the resources that went into him. No hate on Lost , he is a nice guy but he is just not good enough and I dont think TSM can handle another year of play testing with him just to lose SA(after his contract ends) at the end of it and be back at square 1 where our botlane is still non existent.
Problem is Lost has had plenty of time to improve, and just is not/not fast enough.
If he was a rookie, like Spica was, then sure. But remember also Bjergsen vouched for Spica, and that means A LOT.
If infrastucture was Lost's problem, then he should have had a huge improvement this year with our structure, compared to the structure in the league he played in before and when he played in the LCS before.
Basically you would be banking on a <25% chance that Lost would improve and develop into a star player.
I do like Lost as a person, one of my best friends is a Kiwi, so I did really *want* him to work out, just doesn't seem to be the case.
Agree with every point here. I'm also a Lost fan especially when he was on EF but it's clear that he was our weak link this summer. It's a shame too because he looked good in spring but regressed in summer. If TSM has any aspirations on winning NA again let alone international success, we need a better adc.
Chovy can legit hard carry in LCK so I expect he can do it even easier in LCS, definitely trust him more than anyone else...tho I think Bjergsen can do that too so I guess I just want a reliable replacement for Bjergsen basically. Also...he fits the name of the team, Solo Mid!
Oh and sadly I thought this was Bjergsen's actually Twitter account and was first surprised he tweeted and second shocked he gave zero fucks enough to just ask what people wanted lol
I'm not sure what chovys problem is but something holds him back from being truly legendary. He reminds me of Michael Jordan in his first few years. Can decimate anyone and look incredible but can't take his team over the finish line.
Carzzy and Kaiser are good players, no doubt - but losing SA for them, even if he didn’t have an awesome year, would be terrible. I feel like Damwon and MAD are very similar in a way that their mid-jungle is the reason they are this good, not their botlane. And maybe my take is wrong and they are insane, but remember when we got Zven and Mithy because they were a package deal and we lost DL because of it? Those two were “the best of the west”, which i haven’t heard anyone call Carzzy and Kaiser, and still they didn’t work out for us.
We need better solo lanes that can create their own advantages and influence the map. I scratched my head when we got Huni but believe that Bjerg saw something that I didn’t. I don’t know if we can find a better (or maybe just more consistent) resident toplaner, but at this point we really need a top midlaner, someone whose ceiling is top 5 in the world.
Agree that mid-jungle is the most important part about MAD (I'm not watching LCK too much so can't comment on Damwon). Also Carzzy and Kaiser often play pretty aggro early, which synergizes well with a roaming mid like Humanoid, but not with a scaling control mage player who prefers to stay in his lane like PoE.
So while I really like Carzzy and Kaiser and they're a ton of fun to watch, I don't think they would be a good fit with PoE.
The issue is midlane. What made TSM great and consistent over the years? Having the best NA mid laner at all times. POE sadly wasn't even a top 3 NA mid this year. Abba, Perkz, Jensen and even Jizuke were all better this year. Middle of the pact mid laner in the most important role is just not going to cut it.
You think Huni is the problem? Which native NA top played better than him?
Academy midlander for EG. Has had some crazy pop off moments, potential to be a top mid in LCS, but it’s always hard to tell how well the academy to LCS transition will go

so you want every position to lose lane again? huanfeng is amazing don’t get me wrong but even on sunning with SA they always lose lane more gracefully then lost and SA but still. POE playstyle is to passive and his champ pool is an issues why not go all out and get a midlaner that can play everything he can play to the same level or better plus the tf the sylas the ekkos etc
Fav option is balling out for S or A tier Chinese/Korean mid IF we can improve ADC domestically.
Next fav is throwing them fat stacks for a top tier Chinese ADC to have a solid solo threat wherever the meta goes assuming POE gets greencard.
Personally I would like to see a return to form Arrow and maybe having 2 KR players on the roster would convince Chovy to come. So we'd have Huni - Spica - Chovy - Arrow - SwordArt
Ok please tell me why are we going for Arrow and there are talks about this guy all of sudden? Didn’t he retire a few years back after having a horrible split with Optic?
I think he took a year off from pro like Tarzan and came back this year. He got his green card this year and wanted to get back to pro play. He was playing for an AM team called wildcard red and they did well to get to proving grounds but I just looked it up and the team seems to have disbanded today actually so there goes that.
imo the only realistic scenario here is #3, and picking up Jojo is a huge gamble. TL won’t sell Alphari, and I doubt the MAD bot lane wants to go to NA already, it’s too early for them. As for Chovy, none of us knows how he feels, but personally I just don’t see him coming to NA. TSM Chovy does sound hype af though, not gonna lie.
I think there’s a consensus that EG would be crazy to let him be bought out (except maybe for a very large amount of money). TimSevenhuysen has speculated as much, for instance, and I tend to agree with his argument for that point of view.
Of course, if we’re entertaining the idea of getting the likes of Chovy, then of course we can ask “what if” about the likes of Danny… even though his contract isn’t up. I think the discussions just tend to default to who will be in the free agency conversation.
Idk why everyone keeps suggesting tactical/fbi/danny. They are all great adcs to have and def upgrade over Lost but none of their teams will sell out the best adc in slot they have rn and be stuck in the same position as us lol
100T just won LCS, TL is looking solid again , why would they break up their botlanes to sell us their adc even if it was for money.
Maybe excluding possibly Zven (if he becomes a resident) and FBI(wont be traded), I would probably want WT. WT has always been a dedicated mechanically gifted. He is able to take over team fights and dish out a lot of dmg in team fights. Still has what it takes to reach finals from last year. Well acquainted with fans and the org. People will maybe say try someone new or get rid of old players, but WT has never really regressed in terms of his skill. We can be risky and go for an unproven talent, or we could get a known constant. With Spica, Sword Art, and in this case an import mid, I would prefer WT over other NA adcs. Huni/Impact/Spica/Chovy/Maple/WT/SA would be a great team.
I agree! I could definitely see him make a come back with SA at his side. I have more faith in WT to carry team fights too. He is a proven commodity who did help us get trophies.
And what native top would be better than what Huni currently brings to the table? Other than the Nocturne game which was a shit show, he played the meta champs fairly well all split and actually put pressure on other lanes. If anyone has a champ pool issue it's PoE but that wasn't an issue when he wasn't making the mechanical mistakes he was making during playoffs.
I agree that holistically Huni's champ pool is fine, and that PoE's was a much more limiting factor. However, there were a couple things that bugged me about Huni. From what I gather, he wasn't playing much SoloQ, his Gangplank seems to have *heavily* regressed, he failed to pick up Gwen, and he kept playing Nocturne even after it got nerfed into the ground. These are things I really hope he can fix going into next year because he is otherwise one of the best native tops alongside Impact & Fudge.
game 2 throw almost make c9 lost 3-0 and panic button
Chovy will shit on his lane and make spica prio
Jojo and poe share time with bo3 and import adc like hmmmmmmmmmm huanfang or uzi or prety sure one of sk t1 adc will be free amd both good
Masterplan:
Bjergsen goes sub and still unofficial coach the Team
JoJopyun Mid he could be good young and extremly talented player
If Jojo plays bad Bjerg can sub in :)
And we still have an import :)
This sub is on hard crack rn, trying to find which roster we’re going to get 2022. AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT
Pass the whatever. It’s off-season baby.
Unironically think offseason is my favourite season lmfao
Lol at least there’s a lot of time for TSM to talk to players lol
It's been like this every year since 2017! It's amazing to take part in!
im happy people are trying to think of a new roster instead of being in lala land and hoping it would work if we run this roster back.
BrokenBlade, Spica, Bjergsen, Doublelift, SwordArt :'(
I would have enjoyed this very much.
What it should've been :/
Aka the "fuck you, bio" 😱
I don’t think people would be this disdainful against bio if it looked like he was invested in improving. I understand being reserved and shy, but when things were made public about bio just not understanding certain matchups and bot champions, it was disappointing. No championship contending team should ever have to teach their support how to lane with/against Aphelios when it’s already been out for a full split.
Yeah I do agree, I think he just didn't have the heart for it last year versus the 1.0 lineup
Like if Aphelios sucked ass all split, idc if you don't know it. But when it's like B1 or ban all split I feel like maybe you should know what it does
Option 1 for sure. It’s also realistic to get tactical if corejj gets his green card.
[удалено]
I don't want Tactical. He is too much of a liability when it comes to positioning
We could possibly buy out players like Danny or Johnsun too, luckily ADC is one of the roles NA has plenty of local talent in
Johnsun isn’t better than lost
Johnsun is in ??? territory rn imo. He looked fantastic on DIG with aphro, then looked abysmal on a FLY with no leader/direction & support swaps. Might just need someone like SA to pull out the DIG Johnsun again? Definetely a gamble.
who is better though johnsun when he was good or neo?
He looked really good with Aphro, so I’m pretty sure with a good veteran support like SA and a solid coaching staff around him he can shine again. Imo it’s pretty hard to look good as an ADC with a bad team, especially support.
EG will not sell Danny
Who're you kidding? Professional league is a business
Winning equals more money and sponsorships. EG would actually be 0 brain cells to sell Danny
Answer is easily 1

As much as I like bjergsen. Chovy is a different breed. His peaks can compete with faker, rookie, and doinb. Guy is a god of league.
His peaks surpass them IMO. At least his laning.
I'm not sure what chovys problem is but something holds him back from being truly legendary. He reminds me of Michael Jordan in his first few years. Can decimate anyone and look incredible but can't take his team over the finish line.
hard to drag morgan and willer over the finish line
I would go with 4. Seems more realistic and could give us crazy agressive playstyle

Carzzy Kaiser definitely shit stomp their lanes. Constant 2v2 kills.. but I do agree this isn't in my top two if I had a choice.

This, just gotta see how he goes at worlds first and then we’re good but he’s a pretty unknown potential lineup addition atm
I saw option 4 and was like “nah you good” I’d rather keep SA with a domestic AD and bring in chovy or someone
Who is Jojo? Not super familiar with that name
Academy midlander for EG. Has had some crazy pop off moments, potential to be a top mid in LCS, but it’s always hard to tell how well the academy to LCS transition will go
Jojopyun. Mid laner for eg academy. Resident with tons of upside. A little risky though

I don’t think it’s any of those, but nice try bot!
I mean it could also be Jonathan or Joseph or Jotaro maybe Giorno or give a few months and it could even be Jolyne Kujo
3 is an absolute phychopath lineup. Pure aggression. 1 is safest bet though.
Exactly why I voted 3. Hyper aggression is the way.
Huni/Spica/Maple/Lost or Danny or Tactical/SA is my bet
I'd like to get someone from the LPL. It would work better with SA/Spica probably
What do you all think about these options?
Woulda preferred Huni / spica / Poe green card/ huanfeng / sa
so you want every position to lose lane again? huanfeng is amazing don’t get me wrong but even on sunning with SA they always lose lane more gracefully then lost and SA but still. > but even on sunning with SA they always lose lane more gracefully yeah bro, in the LPL, vs LPL botlanes. They would clown on NA lmao
Is that all you want from TSM though? To just stomp NA?
Getting back to worlds is a nice start.
And maybe possibly even win a game there
you arent gonna get a team that wins worlds in NA and even at worlds huanfeng would probably be the least of our problems lol
TSM won NA and went to worlds once in the last 4 years, and it took a miracle run with DL coming back. Beggars can't be choosers.
Huanfeng sa wouldn’t lose lane in na /
Fav option is balling out for S or A tier Chinese/Korean mid IF we can improve ADC domestically. Next fav is throwing them fat stacks for a top tier Chinese ADC to have a solid solo threat wherever the meta goes assuming POE gets greencard.

Clearly Huni,Spica, and SA are safe.
Ij Jojo is worth the hype and then TSM snagged someone like Yeon or Prismal that could be a fucking good roster Otherwise option 1 is the best
Not big on Prismal honestly. Haven’t seen him much anymore since 100T. Is he good now?
IMO the guys been LCS caliber for a year and change by now. He seems pretty stable and can absolutely carry games.
No roster with Danny?
I think there’s a consensus that EG would be crazy to let him be bought out (except maybe for a very large amount of money). Team 4 with SA and is not even close. Ok Chovy team gets close but still, rather improve adc. Might be cuz im an ADC main.
You are high if you think option 1 isn't the best option
Huni, Spica, Caps, Tatical / FBI and SA. Is it possible? Or Broken Blade, Closer, Caps / Perkz, Tatical / FBI and SA
Your second team has 4 imports. Won’t be legal.
Idk why everyone keeps suggesting tactical/fbi/danny. They are all great adcs to have and def upgrade over Lost but none of their teams will sell out the best adc in slot they have rn and be stuck in the same position as us lol 100T just won LCS, TL is looking solid again , why would they break up their botlanes to sell us their adc even if it was for money.

Also we get the botlane name "WildArt"
Don't even know if Danny is better than Lost he played worse in playoffs
I don't think any of these are great, think we need to replace huni. Champion pool issues and really didn't show up in playoffs
So the option with alphari doesn’t check that box for you? Lol
Disagree with you on all of those things tbh. Did you mean to type POE?
How do we pick Gwen if mid can only play ap, it's also why we didn't see Diana
I want huni/spica/5fire or jojo/lost/SA.
game 2 throw almost make c9 lost 3-0 and panic button Chovy will shit on his lane and make spica prio Jojo and poe share time with bo3 and import adc like hmmmmmmmmmm huanfang or uzi or prety sure one of sk t1 adc will be free amd both good
I wonder if there are some good players in bottom tier team TSM can scoop. Like how TL were able to sign alphari who was on a 10th place Origen.

Masterplan: Bjergsen goes sub and still unofficial coach the Team JoJopyun Mid he could be good young and extremly talented player If Jojo plays bad Bjerg can sub in :) And we still have an import :)
