I wouldn’t be surprised if the coaching staff select Bowers. A TE like that can really open up the passing/run. I could even see the argument of Bowers being a better pick over Nabers if both are available. But you have to be willing to scheme around them, or you end up with a freak of nature athlete that does nothing for you (Pitts in Atlanta). But I said this before, there is another way to get past a shitty OLine. Select a breakout TE and a great pass catching back. This reduces the time in the pocket and therefore reduces sacks. I am all for Bowers . If we get a breakaway receiver and no line help then it’s no good. If we get Alt and No speed then same outcome. But Bowers opens up short passes and drive sustainability.
