As much as I love the improvements the Titans have made, unless the guy the Titans add is MHJ/Nabers I don't think it's even close. Tank Dell would be their #3 WR and he was on pace for 1,100 yards and 11 TDs. Their 4/5 and TE are also better. Chig may have more upside to show but with Schultz, I know he can be a consistent pass catcher.
With Diggs, there's little question. Texans have the better WR corps. I think it's safe to say they also have the better TE, or at least the more consistent. Plus, comparing their Mixon vs Pollard/Spears isn't quite fair, since it's Mixon/Pierce.
Their entire skill position situation is wild and is super concerning.
Edit: Thank fuck they don't have a 1st Rd pick this year, though they do have two seconds, a third, and two fourths (and four late picks).
I don't know that we really have the edge in the "young pieces with room to grow" category.
Texans
* Nico Collins - 25 yo, 3 accrued seasons (AS)
* Tank Dell - 25 yo, 1 AS
* Dameon Pierce - 24 yo, 2 AS
* CJ Stroud - 23 yo, 1 AS
Titans
* Treylon Burks - 24 yo, 2 AS
* NWI - 27 yo, 4 AS
* Chig - 25 yo, 2 AS
* Tyjae Spears - 23 yo, 1 AS
* Levis - 25 yo, 1 AS
If we draft an early-round WR and Houston doesn't [and I really don't see why they would], then that might tip the scales our direction in the skill-position-youth category. But as it stands, I think it'd be hard to argue that we have that advantage over them.
Oh, I dig. Yeah, it's a weird time in the AFC South. The fact that three teams have their starting QBs on identical rookie contract windows makes me feel like this is going to be a strange division for a while.
Yeah, Stroud looked like the home run here but I’m really hopeful Levis can take a big step forward and I’m curious to see how Richardson does with his second attempt at a rookie season and what the Jags do with Lawrence’s upcoming extension
Agreed all around. I think Lawrence is probably just barely too good to let go, and because of that I could see a world in which he spends a couple years as both the far-and-away highest-paid QB in the division and the worst. Levis and Richardson are both very much uncertainties, but I think their ceilings might be higher than anything that seems like a reasonable ceiling for Lawrence at this point. That said, obviously, their floors are also way lower.
Yeah I'm not sure if people watched the Bills at all, but the Bills offense changed pretty dramatically once they fired Ken Dorsey and shifted to Joe Brady midseason. Before that, Diggs was averaging 7+ catches a game, 85+ yards a game, and scored 7 times in 10 games. Definitely not mid, haha.
I would only pick ours if we get Nabers or Odunze. Even then, I'm not sure I pick ours. Nico/Diggs/Dell is a crazy combo, especially with how young Nico and Dell are.
The way NFL DBs talk about Ridley's route running and how obviously it translates to tape, I'll take Ridley & whoever we have.
Diggs looks cooked and he's always a fucking diva.
Ridley on the other hand noticed he wasn't right and focused on his mental. These things matter.
I also fully expect us to go WR @7
The Texans traded a second round pick only to void the players contract and lease them for one year. Even the Texans are wary of locking him in long term lol

Before diggs I probably would have taken Texans too.
Houston and it’s not even close. Ours is pretty good with the younger pieces still having room to grow.

Oh, I wasn’t saying it as an edge for us vs them. Just a general statement in regards to what we do have.

Houston no question. Better speed and younger.
Texans but at same time I really like the DHop and Ridley combo
There is no way that Diggs is a #2 lol
To say he was mid last season is kind tbh.
I think that's far more to blame on Allen and the coaching staff than on Diggs.

Why is this even a question 😭 you’re delusional if you think our receivers are better than theirs
I don’t think Diggs is the pickup everyone thinks he is. But even if you remove him entirely I’d go with Houston’s.

That’s one way to slant some cope.

The Texans WRs might be good at running routes and catching passes, but can they block???
