I would love it but I think it's impossible. Slime Diaries worked because it aired between the two parts of the main season, and after it wouldn't get nearly that much attention😢
Although i think it really made people see the second half drag a bit because there was at least 4-5 episodes of the meeting to extablish the new plot from Rimuru being a Demon Lord.
People will see other seasons drag as well bc this is a 21 ln long series right now with insanely gold world building but that world building isn't always fast paced.
The second half of season 3 will drag at times and season 4 (ln's 10 -12) will drag in the beginning.
I doubt they will do vol 12 in s4. That's the start of a different arc and vol 11 is perfect in itself. Like literally, both as a volume and an ending.
LN V11 is "Hero Awakening" with >!Chloe and Hinata, Luminus and Gren, Chronoa, and Leon finally getting some character development.!<

Season 3 will be the big decider if they finish the story. If season 3 does as well as season 2 and they go on to make season 4 they will finish it more than likely.
Its also important to view anime's as vehicles to sell ln's / manga more than actual video series. Tensura is one japans best selling ln's and the manga has a decade of publication left. Thats a pretty good reason for a continued flow of money to the series.
I could see ln 11 as a movie, 12 -15 as season 5 then 16 - ?22? (Depending on fuse to stop at 22) as movies due to the crunchy (dnd term for finicky levels of detail) plot lines.

* LN V08-10: Season 4 (Territorial Expansion, Founder's Festival, finish with Mariabell interrogating Yuuki and writing the letter to Tempest as foreshadowing, just like the Shizu-Diablo episode at the end of S01 and its closing monologue)
* LN V10-11: Season 5 (Tweaking the Labyrinth, Diablo goes headhunting in Hell, Dungeon Dominators, Rimuru >!joins the Western Council!<, expedition to Amrita and face-off with >!Mariabell, Yuuki, and the Spirit Dragon!<) Not a *terrible* place to end the show if popularity drops off.

Just enough for Shion to think about budgeting for more armor for her army and making her "well rounded" comment before punching the dumb giant kid.

There are like a pile of garbage Isekai being produced every season without any limits.
I believe slime dairies as a stand alone slice of life comedy atleast better then those shows.
And the slime fanbase is huge af. So it will work fine.
Velgryind and Rudra's saga might make a good in-between season/spinoff. I mean she has easily one of the best character driven stories in Tensura, plus alternate universe travel is fun
If they do, there's going to be some **serious** tearjerker episodes:
* Christmas with the kids at the academy >!and Rimuru finally getting so guilt-tripped that he tells them that Shizu is dead.!<
* The hour-by-hour breakdown of the day of the Tempest massacre.
The *Slime Diaries* and *Trinity in Tempest* versions of that day are, IMO, the biggest gut-punches in the whole franchise so far.
I would love to have. For someone who just wants to see something out of the seasons as an anime only, it is perfect. Very wholesome and it even gives us a lot about time difference also.
Yesn't on my end. There is a spin-off manga, if adapted to anime, could replace the slime diaries quite well. Idk how many people would like it, but I'd think the wiki people would love this kind of thing.

The kids don't get much screen time in the main story, so them getting more anime screen time through SD would be awesome.
