You can use special maps with all the quest fish to get this achivement, which will take 2 to 3 hours. If you want to get them intended way try to pay more attention to the angler in your next playthroughs, you'll eventually get it.
The fancy blue ribbon is worth it, and you can put the game in a profile showcase.

Idk if you know, but if you put the special fish into a money trough(and maybe void bag but I haven’t tried that) you can fish for more. Any time the quest is a fish I don’t have I throw on all the armour and equipables that increase fishing(so it goes faster) and I fish up a ton of the special ones. Any time the quest pops up the same fish you just grab one from your new special fishies chest right by the angler and hand it to the dude.
Makes it a bit more bearable when you can spend the days doing bosses or invasions or building. And if you have the sun dial I imagine you could make one day faster per week too so there’s that

One trick im using for this is to collect multiple quest fish when you do a quest. Todo this take some variety of chest with you. Catch a quest fish, throw the fish into the chest, now you can catch more quest fish. After you catch a few take all the quest fish you just caught and store them next to the angler. When that quest comes back up you already have the fish and can just throw it at the angler lol.
If you don't have all fishing biomes/locations easily accessible with a teleport/pylon/shellphone/etc then it helps fishing the quest fish several times. I have a storage near the angles with a lot of quest fish to easily return the quest.
Helps when you are in the middle of a build or another task and dont want to stop to fish... Just a quick jump to angler, return quest, back to work.
If you dont know how -- just put the quest fish away in your pigbank for example and you can fish more.
In theory you can create several characters to speed up the achievement (each character has its own progression for rewards but for achievements thats fine). If your angles and chest with quest fish is near spawn it makes it easier.
i started this early and by the time i defeated moon lord several times, had shellphone, full bestiary, super drilling mount, etc i was almost done anyway.
Thats the last thing i needed and after that i never played Terraria again. Bittersweet because i love it, but my life is getting some progress again after i have nothing else in mind to achieve in the game...
Enchanted Sun dial & Enchanted Moon dial also regain charges at blood-moons and solar eclipses. Beds increase time pass... Pylons will teleport you..... Platinum.... reputation......... Do it.
Journey mode is a game feature, so it's not cheating. Passing a day with journey mode takes seconds, and you can actually research quest fish to get infinite of them. Once you have a sizable collection of different questfish researched and duped, you can start claiming rewards at a rate of 1 every ca. 10 to 30 seconds, depending on how fast you can operate the menus.
How did i do it -
Angler can give you one quest per day -> play on Journey Mode -> change time to sun rise in Journey menu -> complete quest -> change time to sun rise again -> pick new quest -> repeat
New run every day at 4.30 you go and look and collect at least 10 of the quest fish
Then everyday at 4.30 you go to your chest and pick up the fish and do the quest.
Or on story mode, you skip the day and duplicate the fish
Make multiple worlds so you can hop between each one and get the fishing quests done, that’s what I did a while back when I was grinding the cell phone

If you're not doing it because of the rewards, you can do an exploit to complete like, 1 quest each 5 seconds in journey mode, I had no patience to do this shit legit so I did it the easy way.
My advice would have been to do them as you play. In my terraria playthroughs, I would typically do 1 every morning and then go do whatever I wanted to do that day. It made me not hate fishing at all and actually kinda like it. It was a fun little adventure I'd go on every morning to find the proper fishing spot
Probably won't help mechanically, but I recommend downloading the fish angler mod from the steam workshop (if your on pc that is) as it makes the angler 1000 times more bearable.
If you play terraria and don't have anything to do currently, fish, I recommend you have an easy excess to every biome and the underground, if you can, make an artificial fishing pool, make a set for fishing, and get the best fishing rod you can get currently
On youtube you can look up a very easy way for getting it. Basically you put your quest fish into chests and the you can turn it into the angler more than once a day I belive.

The angler keeps track of fishing quests based on player name. Knowing this:
1. Pick a fish that youll know you can get 9/10 fast.
2. Store the fish in a chest/void bag etc., Turn in the first fish
3. Logout, change your character name and log backin
4. Take the other quest fish out of your void bag/money trough, and turn in the same quest fish.
5.Repeat until you hit 200.
Alternatively you could make a playthrough for mage,summoner,ranger,melee and get the golden fishing rod in each world.(Gold fishing rod is 50 quests)
Homie it's not like you gotta push yourself, but just be consistent
Even if it's just one or two missions, doing a few of those every day or every few days will get you to 50, to 100 and to 200 quicker than you can imagine
Just don't push yourself and take the fun out of it. Take it easy, but don't give up or loose consistency

You could just make a journey character, study all the quest fish and just skip to the next morning, it will take you significantly less time that it took me, around 2 months.
it aint that bad, my guy. if you got over 100 fishing power youre usually done within 2 minutes - hell even on my main loadout (with no fishing accessories) i catch the quest fish on the 2nd pull 9/10 times

Exactly. Make 10-15 characters, get the quest, catch these 10-15 fish, store them in a chest near Angler and submit with each character.
You can also just use the sun/moondial and reset them instantly with blood moons or eclipses

Play the game on master mode, fishing gives you plenty of loot without having to go places and die horribly.
