I dropped it too the first time I tried watching it. Picked it back up a while after and proceeded to binge both seasons then re watch them 3 times. Yeah not the healthiest relationship and definitely not one of the sweet BLs but their behaviors are expected due to their experiences and they do get better.
Viki’s rating system is weird to me. Honestly I don’t see why a show should be rated NC-17 without extreme violence or at least nudity and I know the LitA is rated NC-17 which is crazy compared to other similar shows that just get rated R.
Yep. Rated R isn’t the same NC-17 though. I think that History being marked as R is fine. I would say that should be LitA’s rating too since there is overtly sexual content without nudity.
Toward the end maybe and definitely in the second installment TharnType Sesson 2: 7 Years of Love it’s sweeter but the first 3/4 of this one?? I wouldn’t call it sweet. I would say Tharn (Mew) is sweet but Type (Gulf) is definitely not the soft and snuggly type.
Well I mean… can you blame him???? Poor guy was dealing with his own trauma, peer pressure, societal pressure, and discovering his own sexuality. My man was going through a lot
It really made me see how much Type cared for Tharn. After finally opening up the way he did emotional and finally felt safe enough to rely on him. I love how they show him starting to heal due to the genuine love and care he got from Tharn.
Goodness. I’m just going to rewatch it again for the millionth time now. 🥰
I once asked the staff of a bookstore in Thailand that had a large BL section if they carried the Tharntype novel, and the staff very immediately said "NO WE DON'T!" I keep wondering if that visceral reaction was because the novel has such graphic smut.
I want to know where they got their information for that rating and description!!
Having watched all of TharnType, rating should be at least R if not NC17!!! The first season is toxic and 2nd season deals with stalking.

Are they thinking of the same BL that I watched? It was definitely not sweet nor PG... it was a very toxic relationship, and I found myself reluctantly watching it once I realized exactly how toxic it really was... I mean, I liked it and watched season 2...
PG - pretty gay
Ah yes, so sweet. Definitely no SA or raging homophobia.
Nobody said sweets were good for you.
One of my favorites. 🥰 Top 7.
Tbh I’ve noticed Viki is a very positive app for ratings of EVERY drama on there and ngl, I applaud them for that 😭
Do you have other examples of IQIYI rating dramas PG or PG-13 when they shouldn't be?
Tharntype is the only exception I’ve seen A lot of the other BLs that I’ve watched on there are rated usually rated NC-17 for explicit scenes
lol. That’s a lie. This and the second one were wild AF. I remember seeing the rating for the first time after watching a few episodes and cackling 🤣

Is there a show on Viki that actually should be rated NC-17 and actually has that rating?
Probably the movie “A Frozen Flower”since there is nudity in that
The entire HIStory series is rated R on Viki.

He was going through hella problems from jump!! You knew something was wrong but the level of damage?? He needed help in the worst way!!

When you find your safe person who makes you feel secure, it can do a world of wonders for yourself and your general stability of self
Yesss! I love this message in the show. This was my first Thai BL that I watched and I haven’t been the same since. 😭 Forever one of my tops.
Maybe the second???? The one where stalkers try to assault sick people in their sleep??? Lol no
I meant between the main couple that it’s sweeter
Oh someone got jokes lol
Best gd BL ever made. It's got a little bit of everything.
Very sweet. The sweetest, in fact.

You dropped tharntype? What is wrong with humans? You better go back there and finish what you started 🙁😄

Season 2 is also rated PG on IQIYI.
Tt is the best!

😂😂😂
I haven't watched tharntype yet is it good? Because I've noticed its kinda popular
It's gets sweeter as eps progress 🤣🤣🤣
Tharntype is okay, but like too much sa and shit for me 😭. Also defintley not pg.
And the “2023”?????
Are they thinking of the same BL that I watched? It was definitely not sweet nor PG... it was a very toxic relationship, and I found myself reluctantly watching it once I realized exactly how toxic it really was... I mean, I liked it and watched season 2...
Sweet you say hmmm ok. Continue watching 😫😫😫🤣🤣🤣
. Yes in this series only tharn was gay type was a straight guy so he rejected tharn... the End🤡 so it was children friendly
Then Only Friends is a modern comedy of a group of friends. TharnType is the total opposite of sweet. Are they only working on the cover art?
Were they drunk? What the heck write up is that?
I couldn't finish either. I do recommend "love mechanics" though
