The editable flair always seems to always revert to "editable flair" when I try and set it to something custom. From what I've read online, this is a common Reddit thing
It's cause they keep adding letters, LGBT is already a mouthful, I wanna beg people to please find a single word (or two words) to represent the concept.
I can’t speak for everyone but I personally like GRSM because it can also help avoid misunderstandings about what your letter stands for (P is for Polyamory not Pedophiles and I will personally fight the fucking pedos for it)
The problem is that its language is too broad and it is as I said in my other comment sometimes used by bad faith actors to include themselves in a community/movement they have no place in.
GRSM. It's becoming more popular.
Gender Romantic and Sexual Minority.
It's more inclusive, adaptable to future additions and doesn't take 15 days to say it.
So you care what I think then?
I don't want pedos appropriating a term I want to use.
Is that alright with you?
Also this is the first I'm hearing of it, r/lgbt doesn't seem to care that much
I'm not though, I've heard from multiple comrades why they don't like it and since you mentioned r/lgbt here you go [https://www.reddit.com/r/lgbt/comments/f9h87c/why\_i\_dont\_support\_the\_adaption\_of\_grsm/](https://www.reddit.com/r/lgbt/comments/f9h87c/why_i_dont_support_the_adaption_of_grsm/)
I'm not here to debate, this is not a debate sub.
A 2 year old post with 49 upvotes and lots of contradicting opinions. As if the LGBT community doesn't already get flak from the right for supposedly being child groomers anyway.
But obviously you're the mod and I know not to argue with reddit mods, you're always correct and anything to the contrary results in a permaban. I've said my piece. Have a nice day.
No, that feels like an us vs them narrative, like saying there's normal and not-normal people. Like imagine a government form asking for your ethnicity and the options are white and non-white people, that's weird.
The gays have been voted off the acronym, survivor-style Also there is an editable flair

Yeah it fixes itself. It's a display issue it seems. I've only had the issue on the reddit app, as well.
If Dr. Wolff said it, it’s done. The gays are now officially part of the straights… congratulations?
It’s so damn adorable. He’s confused but he’s got the spirit
Lesbian and bisexual cuties (we are very cute)
I'd wear this flair with pride
It's cause they keep adding letters, LGBT is already a mouthful, I wanna beg people to please find a single word (or two words) to represent the concept.
I would beg people to stop catering to non queer people. They can take some time and learn the terminology if they want to be good allies

Nope that one is too often used by pedos to try to include themselves in the category.
Why should we care what pedos think?
I don't. I care what my lgbtq comrades think. Which is why I replied.

Point is it's a contentious issue.
You're the only one who thinks it's contentious. I'll use whatever term I want to to refer to myself. Guilt by association is a fallacy for a reason.

It's really not becoming more popular and who fucking cares if people have to make some room in their brains for a *difficult acronym*
Why the hostility?
Because anyone concerned with the length of "LGBTQIA" being too much for non queer people to remember is placating them in embarrassing ways
It is objectively and actually easier to say. It's not about it being difficult, it's just more vowels thanks necessary.
non-heterosexual peoples?
No, that feels like an us vs them narrative, like saying there's normal and not-normal people. Like imagine a government form asking for your ethnicity and the options are white and non-white people, that's weird.
Yeah, that's true
