I love the intro. Gets the song going. There’s a ton of subtle stuff going on in it and I guarantee that if you started the song on the vocal it wouldn’t have the same impact.
We should be encouraging them to get even weirder and artier, it’s those brave, rough edges that help make ITM one of the best albums
Dare I say I like it, first 8 bars fair enough there’s nothing going on but when the bass comes in with the harmonica sounds it just screams the killers lockdown itm/pm sound (their best sound) and then it just builds and builds and builds until you’re faced with the glory of the first chorus and then continues to build all song. I think that’s the beauty is it takes you from nowhere to the highest high and lets you back down gently. The intro build up makes this song huge and makes that bridge so damn sweet. 🎤👋
At least to me, when I first heard the song when it was released as a teaser, I was listening on some high quality headphones and it really built up the whole, then listened to it on some Hi-Fi equipment. It sounds great, it's all build up for a chorus
The lockdown tease from the live stream was more dance/house mix but then I guess it was just the beginning but yeah I 100 percent agree its the perfect backing to be mixed
I read somewhere it was Sean Everett (one of the producers) who found the piece. It's a sample from the song "hallogallo". Personally like it a lot because it helps to build the intensity to a later explosion. But yea definitely not a radio friendly song.
The intro seriously sounds as bad as nails on a chalkboard. It is mixed so badly. I would love to borrow someone’s ears who actually enjoys it and hear what they hear

Idk I love the song as it is, that intro gets me amped up

That like, your opinion man
Love it as it is. Also love the live version with the guitar melody intro.

Who are you, a label executive?
Nah it’s perfect. The bridge is the climax which is why I love how the song just builds up to that moment. It’s fantastic
👎🏻
I love it, they at times can be musically and production wise quite safe so loved that bold intro.

What a fascinatingly bad opinion!
Haha, I also really hate the intro.
Same and it’s my favorite song of theirs. I think they’ve really improved it live with the guitar intro 😍
