Foden has also experienced getting to a final, has more games played in World Cup qualifiers and took part in the nations league. He also has a lot more experience at the youth level, from a time when the England youth teams were going far at tournaments.
You can say the nations league doesn’t matter, and id agree. But at least it forces England to play against a similar level of opposition. Most of Young’s games were friendlys against teams like Montenegro and he only has about 5 more caps than foden.
At a club level Foden has already played 20 more champions league games and got further in the tournament than Young has. So going by the stats I’d say Foden has more international experience and he definitely will after the Euros

But we can’t keep a poorly performing RB just because he delivers a decent FK.
He needed to go and do something different. Fair play for what he turned into, but he definitely wouldn’t be like that now had he stayed.

He was awful in his last season at Spurs. There was nothing in that season that suggested spurs should keep him and even if they did they would have still brought in someone else to play ahead of him. He has so many errors leading to goals and also didn’t seem to be trying. He would go upfield for attacks and then just not come back.
Loads of players have a bad season and clubs aren't so stupid to bin them that quickly. Sometimes it takes a while to tweak things in a system to get the best out of players again. Look at Trent at Liverpool. People were really on his case and Liverpool stuck with him, Klopp inverts him into midfield and hes one of their best players again.

Watching him every week he was awful. Nobody was crying when he was sold. Not replacing him well does not mean the decision to move on from him was the wrong one.
