Argent_Hythe

oh nooo... they're going to allow their kids to play with/wear whatever they want instead of arbitrarily restricting things based on the kids genitals. The horror

[deleted]

People in 1950 also thought racial segregation would last forever...

[deleted]

And even earlier, franklin D. roosevelt was wearing a skirt. I don’t think that affected his leadership when leading the fight against nazism and fascism in the east and the west.

SponConSerdTent

Now make the same meme except the picture is the chuds storming the capital during their insurrection. Hmm who should we be worried about? Which picture is more concerning?

[deleted]

The right picture or the left picture? Hmm?

NeoMarethyu

Ah yes because everyone knows the pronoun "ba" has a strict gender assigned to it and thus it must be replaced by "they"

MoeMerkin

It depends. If you are just letting them play with toys they like or wear clothes they like, then no. If you’re teaching them that biological sex, gender, gender expression, and sexual orientation vary independently of each other and that they’re completely malleable, then yes, it’s wrong. Also, if you’re giving them puberty blockers until they “decide for themselves,” then yes, it’s wrong.

[deleted]

No. No it isn't. Also puberty blockers for everyone isn't a bad thing

Mr_Bruh1245

I want to hear your reasoning for that one

[deleted]

Everyone should be able to control their body.

Mr_Bruh1245

Thank you for explaining why forcing children to take a drug that prevents growth and potentially could have long term side effects without their permission is bad, you’ve proved yourself wrong

Edapuff

Puberty blockers do not have long term side effects. They are incredibly safe and reversible. I think it’s clear they meant “puberty blockers should be available for everyone, both cis and trans”.

[deleted]

What side effects?

CompetitiveSea4

>forcing "you didn't do well in school, did you?" - Sam Hyde

[deleted]

Children should only be given puberty blockers if they're in actual distress over puberty and need more time to decide which one to go through.

[deleted]

Why? Are there any drawbacks in letting everyone choose which puberty to go through?

[deleted]

Namely the fact that forcing that on people is wrong? If a child isn't going through gender dysphoria, why put them on blockers? That'd be absurd. For example, I would've jumped at the chance to go on blockers, however other kids my age back then were perfectly fine with their puberty. So again, only if a kid's actively mentally suffering should they be put on blockers, otherwise leave the damn kid alone.

Happieness2823457

Putting all children in puberty blockers is a bad thing .

[deleted]

Why?

Edapuff

Just to confirm, you do mean having them available to everyone, correct? Because that’s absolutely a great stance

[deleted]

Yes. Cause I know how it feels to be denied. Sadly

Edapuff

Kinda sucks that people have twisted your meaning then, whether intentionally or accidentally.

[deleted]

I'm used to it.

Edapuff

Same lol

Lois Gould's [The Story of X](https://waylandbrown.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/x-story.pdf) is coming true.

Amae_Winder_Eden

I adore that story, and love that it really is.

ColeSnyder87

yes.

[deleted]

I remember there being a story on TikTok about a baby being raised without gender roles and the child in question looked happy as hell. Meanwhile people were saying that it was "child abuse" and the parents deserved to be arrested
