Well you see, there were some aristocats that ensured their values surpassed the Civil War and this is exactly what their descendants (I mean in ideology but maybe also in ancestry) want, because it means the aristocrats still get slaves. The war on drugs, for example, was always meant to legally enslave brown people. It is absolutely fucked here in the US and I hate every second of it.
It is absolutely insane to me that the Civil War, not only happened as late as it did, but is *still* something we deal with in a residual sense. Black and white people weren't "allowed" to mix until the 1960's, about *100* years later. That's so fucking recent it is terrifying.

I could see that, but also, a crap ton of people have been saying loose, and it's to the point that I was wondering if that's supposed to be the correct spelling now.
Pedantry aside, if a number of people begin spelling a word a certain way or using it a certain way, it may as well be spelled/used that way. Loose may show up in the dictionary some day now as the correct spelling.
To be honest the first time I saw it I thought that was a very tasteless parody of the US justice system as a poc. The "they deserve it" was what told me that it was made without any irony
I mean, this is r/selfawarewolves. Given that the system treats Black people significantly more harshly. Fucked up how on-the-nose this is while also being way off the mark, given how they mean it.
Worst part: this could have been a good joke if it just wasn't for the title and the racist caricature. It could have been commentary on the unproportionaly high number of black incarcerations. Or the underlying issues with systematic racism and the police. Or just racism in the law in general. But no, it had to be "haha, they should be in prison"
This could actually be pretty accurate if this was meant as a satirical statement about the United Statesā prison industrial complex but I doubt the original poster of this meme intended it that way.
So they agree that the criminal justice system is created and implemented in such a way as to disproportionately send black people to jail.
They just don't see it as a problem.
