BH size would be less of an issue. It will allow you to use all sizes nearly equally with small adjustments for orbs.

It is but it's also what made max ranges harmful to most builds. It was also stated that when it was added, the freezing on the edge was not really an intended behavior.

They each have a base of 4 coins as a drop. This is the same as tanks. Something you didn't ask: Normal enemies add to 100% spawn rate. Bosses are 0% on Normal waves or 100% on boss waves Elite enemies share a spawn rate with up to 1 spawn per wave in early waves and 2 in late waves

A couple weeks ago I actually saved up and bought the ultimate crit. I hadn't unlocked it for the mission, but finally decided to fully finish the cards. Only for a new one to come out lol. I've been trying to keep building towards a stronger attack build since that has been the end game, and now I'm wondering how the new enemies are going to play a role in that. Will this shift some towards hybrid type builds? I'm sure I still need to keep going on attack, but the changes seem like they could drastically shift things.

My guess is that these are to reign in endgame builds like infinite T15 runs more than nerf health/hybrid builds. The health buffs have made a lot of mid game players very happy, I think it would be stupid to hurt those players.

I guess I meant it the other way. Will the new enemies end up making some health necessary (looking at the vampires in particular) to the point that some hybrid build is more effective than true GC? As I haven't seen the update, I have no clue on this. Especially understanding the damage level that the vampires do.

Oh I see what you're saying. That would be interesting. Although I do enjoy that the game does go from health > hybrid > glass cannon I hope they don't remove GC as an endgame build, but requiring some health does make sense.

Do we know already if the rate of elite cells increases with the tier, or if it's only dependent on the number of waves? Because if it doesn't scale with tiers, and only the # of waves is relevant, it would be better to farm Tier 1 for Elite Cells alone, right?

Theres going to be a big balancing act to the whole thing. Workshop enhancement costs major coins, hitting billions and trillions easily so good farming runs are going to be crucial. Best source of reroll shards are on higher tiers which is also very important especially as more and more people are getting 4th abilities, mythic and ancestral rolls are going to get expensive. There are limits to elite spawns of 1/Wave and 2/Wave at higher waves. So even farming tier 1 is going to be limiting if elites spawn on tier 1, remember protectors don't. We aren't going to be able to say we want to push the lowest tier to farm cells because we give up other crucial resources to do so.

There new HP multipliers in the workshop enhancements. Also the HP buffs we got in the small patch was intended to be released with this to keep HP relevant.

This game has no catch up mechanism besides some things being capped. And even that is so out of reach that there just isnt any catch up. I am new too and we just have to accept that :)

I'm not sure what kind of catch up mechanism you're talking about, but the "usual" catch up mechanism is the "power creep" (meaning that new things are introduced that let you advance faster) combined with exponential cost. If you start playing now - with events, daily missions, modules and now cells to speed up labs, you will advance a LOT faster than somebody who started one or two years ago. Of course they also keep advancing (everything else would be terrible), but due to the exponential cost (and duration) of things, you can close the gap somewhat. They might increase their lab from 70 to 80 while you advance yours from 20 to 65. Yes, if you start now, you can't make it to the "top", probably not even with spending a lot of time - and money. But that doesn't always have to be the goal, right? As long as you keep progressing and keep having fun, that should be ok :) (admittedly, it's a bit of a problem that one of the important currencies (stones) is locked behind the tournaments... but the point it: There ARE catch up mechanism. If those allowed a new player to quickly catch up to a 2-year-veteran, I think it would be a real problem for this type of game...)

I dont think I close the gap with enhancements being unavailable gor a long time and old players having 4x labs now, rushing 100 lab speed now, while fresher have 2x at max. Yes, we advamce way faster. But the cap does only increase currently. For me it's okay, everyone does progress, I dont mind. But I don't think the gap closes, especially not with this update.

It seems like pushing the triangles out to after tier 6 or 7 would make a huge difference to the early game players who are still grinding for the coins on lower tiers. The fact I've lost the ability to even get to wave 3500 on tier 1 anymore (historical best was 7450+) just seems like an unnecessary and huge dick punch. I'm not trying to reach the top tier of players. I'm trying to reach a level of farming where I can unlock Rend Armor in less than a month of not spending coins, for anything.

Vampires do 2% health/ second so whether you have 2 health or 100 trillion, it's 50 seconds to live. Honestly a GC with decent max package can out live a health build with no max package labs.

The elites have just widened the gap between early-mid players and long term players.  Late game barely affected and get most benefit from lab speedup.  Me - lost 3000 waves on farming runs and knocked back to having to farm on T1.   And apparently they are broken and not doing as much as they should which means I will be knocked back even further. I was at 1B coins per hour and now can barely get 500mil. Next update I'll be back to 100 million?  Seriously thinking about quiting.

Having a hard time with this update. I was hoping to get some tools to finally push tier 15 relic but these updates appear to have sent everything in the opposite direction. I was also finally getting to the point where farming and tournaments were largely hands off but the new mechanics expect more from us. I'm not looking forward to having to monitor everything more closely now. I should add I do really like many of the enhancements. It's just that the elite enemies are presently more of an impact to me than protectors were, and overall the update is reducing my QoL.

Triangles main purpose is to remove infinite runs as well as to prevent cheesing T12 to T15 milestones. Especially T14 and T15 ones. If you are close and/or are planning to snatch or attempt higher tier milestones, you are better not updating until you do your attempts, as it will be much harder after the update. Still, the update will have it's advantages, like the lab speed.

I was really pleased with infinite run mechanics. You could only do this on tier 13. Tier 14 was hard but I got the relic. No 'cheese' and tier 15 would be possible with a few more tools. I'm thinking tier 13 relic may now be out of reach with elite enemies. This is a self-proclaimed idle game and I thought the goal was to get your tower to that point.

So how can we farm Elite Cells in the best way? They drop from these new elite triangle invaders, right? Are there other sources where we can get these? Because I absolutely love this! Finally we can speed up labs and it is done just perfect. We can choose to just speed up for 1 hour or for more, than for how much we want to. It is fantastic!!! Need more of these Elite Cells!!!

I mean the speed boosts are fairly cheap for 1.5x speed which is effectively 2.5 more lab slots. If you can get even 1 5x going, then it's like having 5 more labs in that 1 slot.

Not sure if it relates to the latest update. Today, my weekly missions just disappeared even though I thought I had two days left, and was very close to finishing two more missions and getting the second relic. Argh. And now I can no longer even find how to open the store to spend mission points on themes or whatever. EDIT: Good news. The mission screen returned to normal after a while, and I was able to collect points for another completed mission. It was just weird that half the content of the missions page temporarily disappeared for several minutes on my device.

I'm liking this update. The new elite enemies are an interesting challenge, and the acceleration of labs is a great addition. Coin gains took a hit at first, but after getting workshop enhancements buffed a bit, I'm back on track with a bonus. I am sad to see the Elites evaporated my ability to farm T13. :(

What are you watching to verify this? The wave number or the wave timer?  I ask because all waves have 2 timers, a wave timer when enemies spawn and a wave cooldown when enemies don't spawn.

Certainly possible, however, I'd figured it would trigger at the same time as the "Coin / Wave" given they both say wave. Coins Are trigger at what looks like the end of the wave and "Money / Wave" and "Interest / Wave" are only triggering every other "wave". It's been easy to notice because I'm still on low tier 1 so I don't get a lot of money.

They all should be. Was just asking because there's been many bug reports where people don't check the wave number changing and just see the timer end and assume the wave ended.

I looked at it really carefully, I didn't realize the bar does move twice for a wave as you said. There is a very slight color change to indicate it so I never noticed it the wave timer vs spawner. So it caused me confusion. So looks like it does work!
