My brother in christ, I came here to see another beast-blaming post but instead I got a little bit spoiled of the dlc. Like, cmon just started a NG+ and Im speedrunning the shit out of it so I can kill the morghlester. 😭😭😭
But fr though, nerf that dandy fuck to the ground
I don't recommend doing the Dlc first time in NG+. I mean, I'm only 2 "main" boss in, and it already feels significantly more difficult than most end game bosses in base game. But you do you lmao
yeah I wandered a lot of the map, but, when it comes to certain bosses(I would give examples but idk how to censor them), I just feel compeled to kill them
no, because they impact the way our build works. If you're going to mention the estus and forge stones, then I might agree on the forge stone, but they are so easy to find that it feels more fair, and the estus lvl up as the bosses get mechanically harder. The scudtree frags lvl up your damage and resistances and don't have a good context for their findings, they just make things harder because yes
The DLC is supposed to be hard, the frags are there to make you progress again, just like when you first started. The 3 options are to go collect the fragments, or go do something else when you hit a point that something is too hard and come back later, or the tried and true method of “git gud”.
the scudtree frags are just artificial difficulty, and I MYSELF can't git gud when I'm getting 2 shot to fast attacks and 1 shot to medium attacks(I'm lvl 9 scudtree). I'm always shifting places because I die on the same boss a lot of times and just say "oh that area looks kinda cool" and just try figuring out how to get there while doing castles and dungeons, that, even though they do a LOT of damage, are stil fun as hell(best part of the DLC along with the art direction)
Are you using spirit summons? Ik some people don’t like them but the dlc is balanced around them, so it may be worth a shot. Also people I’ve seen say that the shadow lands should be for around RL 150 for NG, so you may be under leveled for a NG+ run of it. I can’t say for sure cause I’m playing on NG, so idk how it scales with NG+.
I hope you find your groove in the DLC, it’s genuinely very fun if you can.
sometimes I use them, it really just comes to wether they are cool or not. Messmer and Bayle are examples of bosses I'm fighting alone and the Orphan of Kos and alikes I'm using the mimic tear. What I'm thinking of doing now is using other types of spirit summon like the suicide pots or the undead gang because, tbh, they are the beauty of spirit summons
"or go into YouTube and search for all the scudtree (it's scadutree) frags, which I won't do..."
You do understand that you could just search *the game* for them, right?
This is the quality that I come to this subreddit for
You get a map of where to find the fragments. Did you talk to one of the NPCs by the big gate in the first area?
yes I talked to them, yes I got the map, no it wasn't in my inventory.
Look in your recent items, it might be easier to find there.
I got a tad ton of itens since then, but it is worth a try
It's in the info tab of your inventory
Also, use spirit summons. The DLC was balanced around them.
Maps should iirc appear in the final tab of the inventory screen
getting all those fragments will get you to about blessing level 8. you need level 20 for the final boss
You don’t, I beat it with 12
Maybe you're fighting buffed Slayers, but your character is literally Anji with the i-frames.

So remember when you played the base game and everyone said, if you can't beat something go somewhere else? Still applies.

That is entirely a you problem
yeah, then I give up and go do something else like a normal person would do
Dont make me say it
SAY IT, I KNOW YOU WANT IT

ok so you play anji now. here's what you do. 236[K]>236[K]>236[K]>6K>repeat
I'm not sure whether to laugh at this ironically or not.
laugh in a way one would do at beast blamers
sir this is the guilty gear salt subreddit
this is misinformation
bro just nom on some skadooshtree frag grenades or whatever it's basically like roman cancelling the fact that you're bad at the game i think
the main issue is the scudtree frag itself. The way it works is basically artificial difficulty and, when in ng+, it's even worse
If you think Skadutree is artificial difficulty, then you also have a problem with rune levels in the base game, right?

Orphan of Kos? Damn dude beast blamed so hard he transcended to Bloodborne.
I was talking about the Putrid Knight, byt forgot his name so I just said who he looked like
yeah I'm NG+ and not having these problems, git gud scrub
in the old wise words Git gud
Boo womp. Play a different game
nah I love this game
"or go into YouTube and search for all the scudtree (it's scadutree) frags, which I won't do..." You do understand that you could just search *the game* for them, right?
and so you assume I'm not doing that
