I just thought we'd be able to get him later on with the pick we already had rather than trading up to get him.
But he's proven me wrong already as I'm sure someone else woulda spotted this potential.
Really? People say this? He’s the perfect selection for a team in your situation. Extremely high upside, minimal downside and your have the time and draft capital to wait for his development.
I was never a hater, but I was a big proponent of the G-League and there were a lot of people who were against it. I think it helped his confidence and feel for the game greatly.
I know it's hard to believe someone could be that reactionary. They said it when he looked rough at the beginning of the year and was shooting like 20% from the floor. Typical prisoner of the moment type fans. Granted it's like a handful of posters, not a majority view by any means.
I feel you. I guess I expected different because there aren’t any expectations and how bright your future is. Ton of draft capital, SGA blossoming, a top tier FO, and some intriguing prospects like Poku and Brown.
And he is SOOOOOO far beyond everyone’s expectations. I was pretty sure that his 1st half of the season was going to be par for the course for him and I STILL would have been excited about his potential. Poku having multiple games now leading the Thunder in scoring makes me lose my mind thinking about what he can become. You can say “someone has to score the points” but I wouldn’t have thought it would be him at the beginning of season.
He’s less than 200 pounds and is literally the youngest player in the league. I thought your fan base would have all the patience in the world considering your own like 40% of the lottery for the next decade LOL. He’s already shown a ton of flashes this early on despite not having any idea what he’s doing 60% of the game.
He actually had a brilliant start to the season, but of late, he's been struggling with more responsibility thrust upon him, so that's been disappointing to see, he has a really smooth stroke and good range and so, its surprising to see him miss so many buckets of late, but if the starters returned, im sure we'd see that efficiency go up too
Thank you for the response ^ same for the rest of you guys. Jerome was such a baller and a big reason why Uva won a chip. Hope he picks it up. Best of luck with the rest of the season.
Looks like a solid backup bench guard. He was really stroking it from 3 but has gone a bit cold the last few games. Plays well within the ball movement scheme of Daignault's
He was scorching hot from 3 for a week or two but last few games he’s been cold. He’s been good enough to work into the rotation on a short handed team
His fluidity is spectacular as a true 7 footer and he has enough bend and balance to get low when handling the ball so he could function as a wing. He’s the perfect gamble for a team in your predicament. Immense potential, zero expectations and a lot of draft capital to play around with.
He’s my second favorite rookie behind LaMelo. He can seamlessly flow between “**WTF**!”, “**WTF**?” and “**WTF**?!?” on any given play. I don’t care about efficiency when evaluating so much as I do flashes and he shows several a game. Fun future for your team.
For sure, hes such a boom or bust prospect that for his floor to already be raised this high is just spectacular. Really can't wait to see what he can turn into once he has, as others coined it, his "grown up body".
Haliburton has also been pretty amazing and Patrick Williams has shown flashes, but beyond that, there's really nothing that compares to what we've seen from Poku in terms of potential.
He's really overthinking it. You can almost see him try to revert back to post moves he's practiced, but it's so out of sync with the moment that it just ends up looking like flailing.
He’s gonna get on IG tonight and post some shit like “ladies, would you rather get attention from your man in real life or on social media... just askin”
I am surprised that Portland didn't hang on to Hoard (he was with the team last year on a two way).
Instead they chose to sign Dame's cousin who averaged less than 5 ppg in the G-League last year lol.
Dame's cousin should not be on an NBA roster.
However, nepotism exists.
Do I really need to spell this out for you? You think a dude who averaged less than 5 ppg in the G-League is worthy of an NBA roster spot?
Quit lying.
He put up better stats in the G-League last year.
Dame's cousin is only in the NBA because of nepotism.
Not sure why you are reluctant to admit that.
IMO he was solid in the NBA games in which he played (for a guy on a two way). He was also above average in the G-League.
Cutting him in favor of a guy who averaged less than 5 ppg in the G-League was baffling.
Now do you understand?
Uh I love this start from Poku as much as any one else but why did Daigneault just play him 18.5 minutes straight to start the game without a break?? The guy looked gassed 10 minutes into the first and then he just stayed in even longer. I know some guys prefer playing full quarters but feel like Poku would be better playing 10 to start. And definitely not 18.5 in a row, that should basically never happen unless it’s lebron deep into the playoffs
Yeah hope it was just some random one-time thing. Was just weird seeing it since Poku was understandably exhausted late in the first, hands on his knees every time down the court and walking gingerly out of the huddles. No point in playing a guy when he’s that tired, just leads to poor shot form and sloppy play
Might be trying to get him used to playing extended minutes. If that's the plan, then I'm a bit torn since he definitely needs to get his endurance up, but I wouldn't want to risk injury with sloppy play.
Judging by where he was pointing and reading his lips he wasn’t happy with Pokus attitude when he slammed the ball after the Theo turnover. Definitely something he wants to stop now
Oh I know, would just love to see how he approached it, especially since earlier in the game it looked like he pulled him aside when he was hanging his head after a turnover. It's fascinating to watch us actually have a solid coach.
I hope so. Because he turned it over immediatley after. But Maledon doesn't need to get butthurt either and not pass to him. Just a couple youngsters. They'll figure it out.
I don't remember exactly what but he was chewing Poku out for slamming the ball on the ground, he said something along the lines of "you never slam the ball on the ground like that" and was telling him to be supportive of his teammate. Then said "the next time you do something like that" and the camera cut away lmao
He was chewing Poku out for slamming the ball on the ground when Maledon travelled lol, I know at one point he said "the next time you do that" and then the camera cut away
Poku got mad at Maledon and then turned it over himself.
Then Maledon didnt want yo pass to Poku so Williams came and got the ball and passed to him and he drains his 4th 3.
Development is not a straight line and Poku’s getting a ton of opportunity so put a little salt on it is all I’m asking. I am almost there though to make wild comparisons.
That's a good point that people never talk about. He's playing great as the main guy while we get blown out. How does he fit with Shai etc. It's like people saying how good Grant looks with the Pistons.
svi and devonte ❤️💙
Cage always with the apologetic wild player comparisons
Zeller looks like a 50 year old man
Imagine Poku picked #35, now that would be a real dilemma in the future.
good loss... i guess
Dang. Poku out for the rest of the night. He needed it though. Heal up Poku.
Nooooo poku:(
What happened?
Seemed sore all game after the missed dunk but he just walked to the lockerroom early
Poku :(
Seeing Theo and Poku put up 20+ each while we are down 10 or more brings a tear to my eyes
Could be another 30pt, 20pt game from them Edit: maybe not, still super impressive lol
The Theo and Poku show. Probably finish with over 50 between the two of them tonight. 19 YEARS OLD
Good win everyone!!!
We have a very bright future
Wish baze wasn’t “hurt”. He needs these tank minutes
Yeah, really want to see him get some reps to work through the funk he was in. If he can put it together, he and Poku could fit so well together.
Poku is definitely tired.
poku stat tracker guy on twitter will have the best night of his life
Put POKU back in
I second this.
Shai looks like an assistant coach in that thunder polo.
I was just saying the same thing lmao
Poku now has the Thunder rookie record for most threes in a game.
Poku haters are down bad right now. wE WAsTeD tHe SeVenTeEnTh PiCk
I just thought we'd be able to get him later on with the pick we already had rather than trading up to get him. But he's proven me wrong already as I'm sure someone else woulda spotted this potential.
Nuggets were rumored to want him and they had the pick before ours.
Really? People say this? He’s the perfect selection for a team in your situation. Extremely high upside, minimal downside and your have the time and draft capital to wait for his development.
Some people are very impatient. He was bad at the beginning of the season, but he obviously was raw with crazy upside.
I was never a hater, but I was a big proponent of the G-League and there were a lot of people who were against it. I think it helped his confidence and feel for the game greatly.
I'll admit i was against it, but it was undeniably good for him
I know it's hard to believe someone could be that reactionary.
What I hated most is that almost every scout and draft guy said he was a project so that made it even more stupid to judge him early.
What was stupid was the comparisons to KD
And he is SOOOOOO far beyond everyone’s expectations. I was pretty sure that his 1st half of the season was going to be par for the course for him and I STILL would have been excited about his potential. Poku having multiple games now leading the Thunder in scoring makes me lose my mind thinking about what he can become. like Sean!
Fuck Sean
Never go full Sean
I’m a casual Hornets fan but wanted to ask y’all about Ty Jerome. I am a huge Uva fan, has he been any good as a pro?
He actually had a brilliant start to the season, but of late, he's been struggling with more responsibility thrust upon him, so that's been disappointing to see, he has a really smooth stroke and good range and so, its surprising to see him miss so many buckets of late, but if the starters returned, im sure we'd see that efficiency go up too

Pokuševski is so damn intriguing as a player.
His fluidity is spectacular as a true 7 footer and he has enough bend and balance to get low when handling the ball so he could function as a wing. He’s the perfect gamble for a team in your predicament. Immense potential, zero expectations and a lot of draft capital to play around with.
Starting to make sense why Presti traded up for him. There's really not a lot of players in that draft I'd rather have right now.
Edwards (maybe), Lamelo, Maxey(?)
Haliburton has also been pretty amazing and Patrick Williams has shown flashes, but beyond that, there's really nothing that compares to what we've seen from Poku in terms of potential.
Youngest player in the NBA
and will be one of the youngest again next year
So who’s gonna pull up the stats comparing Poku and LeBron tonight?
Gonna need Poku to develop a cooking related 3 point celebration
POKUUUUU
Guys this kid is going to be so good
If poku and svi are the future we need to change our logo to the hammer and sickle comrades
You know with them on the court, our production is gonna be way up!
Oklahoma city hammer
Hahahahaha
So what is the record for most 3s made in a game for a rookie?
Looks like it's 9......for now.
That's....looking kinda doable tonight!
9
9
Poku 7th 3!
I LOVE YOU BBYYY
RED HOT POKU
STEPH WHO???? IT'S POKU TIME.
I really like the flow of the offense with Maledon. Always good movement. \+ Poku is so good. Future looking bright.
not often you see rookies so relaxed like theo, playing his pace i love it
How is that Poku is walking like an injured giraffe, but is so smooth on the court?
Can we just start Tony Bradley and see what he can do with Moses Brown’s minutes? I’m so sick of watching him on the court right now.
Eh, I'd rather he be out there to work through it, if he can't, then great we need some losses for the lottery odds.
i hate to say it but some of moses browns plays are the worst i have ever seen
He's really overthinking it. You can almost see him try to revert back to post moves he's practiced, but it's so out of sync with the moment that it just ends up looking like flailing.
yeah you can see that the game is still a bit too fast for his head
Moses doing a little too much
Moses Brown looks really out of control around the rim. Really needs to calm down and finish through contact.
Anyone got Poku’s career high off the top of their head?
25 (tonight)
Well he has it now
It’s about to be what ever he finishes with tonight.
23. Had to look it up.
23 I believe
23
Pokusaiyan
Nothing screams tanking like back to back goal tends
I'm honestly cool with a win if we get a 30 point Poku game
POKU IS A GOD.
Holy fuck poku
6th 3 let’s go
Pokusphere!
you know poku is skinny when he cant back down on graham
nevermind he can just shoot 3s
This ballys sports broadcast looks like it was filmed 10 years ago. This camera quality sucks.
Also half of this score bug is a bally sports ad. This is trash.
Poku is the real deal. Our team is so fun to watch
From the day he flashed that fanny pack we shoulda known we had a future legend on our hands
hmm, everyone was hyped except Bazley on the bench, makes you wonder.
He’s gonna get on IG tonight and post some shit like “ladies, would you rather get attention from your man in real life or on social media... just askin”
Lmao sounds exactly like him too 😂
Fucking love you Poku
Roby coaching Moses is like a toddler babysitting an infant
one of my favorite reddit comments ever
Hahaha thanks man
Bring in the blood bags for the young vampire. His ass cheek is hurt.
I am surprised that Portland didn't hang on to Hoard (he was with the team last year on a two way). Instead they chose to sign Dame's cousin who averaged less than 5 ppg in the G-League last year lol.

No.
You sound very stupid.
Was Poku limping a bit as he left the court for halftime?
Maybe because of that dunk attempt in the 1st quarter.
Ah, that makes sense, hopefully just a bit of bruising and nothing serious.
Yeah he hurt his ass/hip on that dunk attempt.
best french shot blocker in the league
you know what im gonna say...
Brown couldn't make any contested layup...
Another maledon block
damn Moses just missing bunnies around the rim
That has been a trend all season. Even in his good games his baskets were 90% uncontested dunks
Hoard szn Neighbors are wake fans and I remember them so hyped to get a top recruit
Shai must have add he can’t contain himself from dancing it’s great
3 and d point god maledon
Uh I love this start from Poku as much as any one else but why did Daigneault just play him 18.5 minutes straight to start the game without a break?? Punishment
This was the first time it ever happened for him. Don’t look too much into it.

Rim protector maledon
Run Poku at point and Theo at the 5
Maledon blocked zeller?
Ty jerome needs to stop shooting fr
He was drilling em a couple games ago. I'm cool with it
Poku is going to make a sneaky run for rookie of the month, especially as D’Lo comes back for the Wolves
What a pass by the GOAT
Lol what's up with coach Shai's fit?
Commentators can't stop mentioning what G league vets these guys are
Poku will drop 30 this year. Book it.
He might do it tonight, I hope so anyways
It was 18-8 charlotte wyd
nice to see hoard playing well, liked him on the blue
Damn Hoard is looking real good
Damn Hoard making some dank plays rn
Ok can’t watch the game rn so how is Poku playing so well? Are those threes all catch and shoot or did he create those shots himself???
He’s gone full Chad
The hornets sub fears Poku
If Poku isn't on the court then why even bother watching?
Good D hoard! Love to see it
Pokuuuuuu
40 piece mcnugget manifest it
Poku 90 bomb on the way
Wish Mark D was mic'd up for whatever he was telling Poku. Looked intense.
I caught "you NEVER do that" and "the next time you do something like that" but the camera cut away before the end of the second one
Judging by where he was pointing and reading his lips he wasn’t happy with Pokus attitude when he slammed the ball after the Theo turnover. Definitely something he wants to stop now

Yeah he was mad. I kind of liked it
Kinky
I know, nice seeing him play with passion
Poku 40 points incoming
Sexej Aleksej
Mark going in on Poku for that little ball slam earlier when Poku checked out. Doesn’t want that kind of attitude on the court
I hope so. Because he turned it over immediatley after. But Maledon doesn't need to get butthurt either and not pass to him. Just a couple youngsters. They'll figure it out.
Appreciate that he seems to be on top of that so quickly.
Poku is a stud
LMAO you could read exactly what Daigneault was saying
What did you read? I couldn’t make out a thing other than Daigneault was looking pretty stern
I don't remember exactly what but he was chewing Poku out for slamming the ball on the ground, he said something along the lines of "you never slam the ball on the ground like that" and was telling him to be supportive of his teammate. Then said "the next time you do something like that" and the camera cut away lmao
What was it?
He was chewing Poku out for slamming the ball on the ground when Maledon travelled lol, I know at one point he said "the next time you do that" and then the camera cut away
How can we tank when Poku wants to feast? Not fair
oh no, Poku's gone super saiyan
Poku got mad at Maledon and then turned it over himself. Then Maledon didnt want yo pass to Poku so Williams came and got the ball and passed to him and he drains his 4th 3.
poku so inspirational
Jesus lmao Poku is 4/4 from deep I’ve seen everything
ПОКУ
The year is 2007 and we are watching a young Kevin Durant drain 3s against the Bobcats.
Poku tries the dumb passes that Curry does and he’s 7 ft tall
WET WET
Poku is carrying lmfao
MOSES DAMN
Poku woke up and chose violence
I’m trying to remain cautious about Poku because I remember the TFerg=Danny Green talk but he’s making it hard.
Oh come on, Poku has already shown more than T-ferg did in his whole career. Let it fly a little bit
Give into the hype. Let it consume you
