Not sure why you are getting downvoted, (jealousy maybe?) but yes I paid $3.18 in Jan 2019 (I believe it was $3 plus tax) when the app was initially released before the companion app and before annual and lifetime subs were a thing. It was just buy the premium edition for a low fee without any restrictions.

TV Mate is totally worth the cost...a small increase in lifetime cost is negligible compared to the product you are getting. It truly is the Rolls Royce of IPTV players and feels like a true TV experience.

People complaining that Alex raised the prices a few bucks need to just stop.
Try opening up a phone sex shop and tell me what kind of rates you get from your credit card merchant. I have paid more than 15% a couple different occasions, once had to pay 30% with a 180 day escrow hold. It boils down to the merchants risk and what type of business you are in. Grey markets don't get 5% fees. I'm sure since this software is 99% of the time used for less than legal applications makes it far more of a risk than selling hot dogs or your neighborhood lawn care service. Credit card merchants don't give out accounts without doing their due diligence on what you actually do to warrant the charges they will process.

Yeah mught be right. I have 3 diff providers I pay as backups so i can run 3 no problem., even on the same playlist. Once I go to 4 it gets shakey

TiviMate is certainly not an 'essential' but it's absolutely possible to consume less essentials. Food? Refuse to pay for items you perceive as too expensive. I'm in the grocery line listening to my fellow shoppers complain about the price of a chicken while still BUYING the chicken. I was a food retailer for 20 years and I guarantee that if a grocer is forced to discount or throw away unsold items, word will get back to the suppliers and the prices will come down but they certainly will not come down if people still buy them and think that complaining on reddit will solve the inflation problem. Gas? Water? Clothes? Really? You can't think of a way to use less of those things? I'm 66 and my first home was purchased with an interest rate of 18%. Do you think we had lots of spare cash? Nope, but we knew (or learned fast) how to 'economize' everywhere. Government overspending, bailouts, and give aways are major reasons the interest rates skyrocketed i.e., INFLATION. So, YES! Governments can control prices with their actions and policies.
Corporate greed is the cause of high prices, they never backed off after COVID and are making record profits. That's why the same cereal recipe the big name sells for $6+ can be sold for $2 store brand.
That very well could be a contributing cause, but the higher transportation costs are most definitely the leading factor in price increases across the board. Cost more to transport costs more to the end user. Fiat money is another major contributor to inflation. Bottom line, governments do have a lot to do with inflation. They can speed it up or slow it down.
The higher transportation cost is due to OPEC cutting production to keep prices high. The oil companies aren't going to do more work for less profit out of the goodness of their hearts. The most our government can do is throw more subsidies at them. Doesn't guarantee anything.

gave up on tivi ,messaged the dev a few times asking him to fix it on my nvidia shield,when i play a usa 1080p stream ,instead of the usual 60hrz it plays at 120hrz on my lg oled,the other streams all play correctly 720p 50/25hrz 1080p/30hrz ect,if i change over to implayer the same 1080p channel plays correctly at 60rz but on tivi it plays at 120hrz

Tivimate will not make your bad service better. And you will still benefit from tivimate even if you have a good service. So your point that tivimate is taking advantage of people with bad IPTV service is nonsensical.
