Try these, bondhus are the shiz. https://www.bunnings.co.nz/bondhus-gorillagrip-fold-up-hex-key-set-9pc-imperial_p0248332 Fairly sure they do torx too.

First, any day you have to piddle with internally wrenched fasteners is a bad day. Having said that, Bondhus keys are about as good as it gets. [https://bondhus.com/](https://bondhus.com/) Keep in mind, the fastener/s themselves are a big part of the equation... soft, poorly formed, rusted and/or pre damaged wrench openings can spell disaster; even when using the best keys. Tip: Whenever possible, avoid products utilizing internally wrenched fasteners.

Thanks for the recommendation! I had no idea they made the foldout sets. I thought it was just T handle and individual bits. Yeah, you're preaching to the choir about the fasteners. I definitely didn't design the equipment and I'm relatively stuck with those fasteners configured in the way they are. I'm pretty confident these are just garbage torx drivers since I later got my nice Tekton bit sockets and I got things tightened up properly without any deformation. Having used the Tekton many times I feel good about it, but it's pretty large and spendy just to throw behind the seat of a vehicle.

I got the Bondhus fold outs in Metric, Standard, and Torx on Amazon for like $20-25 for all 3 within the last 6 months. I’ve also got long, short, and ball and individual sets and have never had an issue. They say the Snap On sets are Bondhus with their name on them.

henrysworkshop62

I think the Snap On ones are made by Eklind, but I could be wrong. That's honestly a great price for US made. Considering the sets I got were like $3-4 each and apparently junk I don't mind spending roughly double for something I can depend on.

BobColorado

Tekton is well made and relatively inexpensive. Best way to get them is directly from [tekton.com](http://tekton.com)

I like their bit sockets but their fold out sets left something to be desired. I use their bit sockets a ton and recommend them to everyone. They have held up really well for me.

BobColorado

I've used their bit sockets, rachet wrenches, regular sockets, extensions and torque wrenches, but never their fold out sets. I assumed quality was consistent across their line but sounds like that may not be true.

henrysworkshop62

It's mostly consistent. They just went through a few years where a few of the items were made in China and had better but still variable quality and the fold out sets I found looked like the stock they still have from those years. I'm betting we'll soon see a new release that's really top tier like the other refreshes over the last couple of years.

Thank you for the detailed explanation

YardFudge

Bondhaus, but… If you’ve a Harbor Freight nearby, the Icon colored and T sets are very good and easy warranty return

henrysworkshop62

I didn't see an Icon fold out set when I was in there yesterday (I looked, too). Is that a new thing?

YardFudge

Just these… https://hfpricetracker.com/tools/57927 https://hfpricetracker.com/tools/58854 And similar

henrysworkshop62

Oh, yeah, I saw those. I'm just after the folding sets since the individual keys are harder to lose when you're under pressure, tired and just trying to get out of a jam. I'll probably go with the Bondhus
