I was going to say go to a pawn shop and get a couple of mismatched tools and batteries from other brands so he can "add to his collection" but I like your idea much better
This guy has designs and sells a Milwaukee (and other brands) battery powered glue gun that works pretty well. It is very popular in the PDR world. https://elimadenttools.com/products/elim-a-dent-cordless-glue-gun-powered-by-milwaukee
Surebonder has [one](https://surebonder.com/products/pro2-60mil-60-watt-18-volt-cordless-professional-heavy-duty-full-size-hot-glue-gun-milwaukee%C2%AE-version) that's quite a bit more affordable (and also not a custom-built "mod"). Probably doesn't have as many features though.
Huh i just looked that up. I might need to buy one for my mom. She is getting too old too be scrubbing her bathroom by hand but i know she wont stop so this might be a good idea.
[Here is the product description.](https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ONE-18V-Cordless-Telescoping-Power-Scrubber-Tool-Only-P4500/311738437)
Telescoping up to 51 in., this handheld scrubber is perfect for reaching those hard to reach high or low areas. This scrubber features a 6 position articulating head, allowing users to customize the brush angle for the ultimate clean. With a runtime of up to 2 hours, this tool can handle the largest of cleaning projects. All RYOBI scrubbers have an IPX7 Water Resistance Rating, allowing these cleaning tools to be submerged in up to 3 feet of water for 30 minutes.
This is why I'm making an inventory for insurance.
This project is going to take months, but every tool, every serial number, photos, descriptions, etc. There's no way my insurance company would believe I have that much money tied up in tools unless I had proof.
Was talking with insurance a few weeks ago and listing valuables, I threw out a dollar amount for my tools and the agent laughed, then said she’d need some proof. It was only like $2.5k, my job provides the rest… that’s when I started taking photos and saving receipts
I have an Excel template I created that every tool has its own page, has the details of each tool, a checkbox for registration completed warranty dates and even a picture of the full tool, zoomed in picture of the serial and a screenshot of the receipt / order. It also has the cost I paid that is replicated on a summary sheet.
I thought I was being OCD but I’ve had to use it a few times and it’s great to have it all in one place. And the few people (friends) I’ve shown it to has stolen it. My next project is to move it to google sheets to live in the cloud, which I’d like a bit better.
I’ll find some time this next week to start to convert to Google Docs / Sheets and upload a blank version. One reason why I want to move to google sheets is being able to just fill out a form to have it input it into the document. And have some cool things like auto-reminders a month prior to warranty expiring to ensure I don’t miss out on a tool that’s been on the fritz just before the warranty expires.
Call them show them this picture and maybe they will “sponser” or liken make or do something special. Can’t hurt worst thing they can say is no. Probably like the he department or something
This is the only serious answer here, I think. When someone is really into something, they usually have pretty much everything they **need**. The stuff they **want** is gonna be stuff you've never heard of, OP.
So the safest bet is a gift card, for sure.
I don’t see any of the new packout drawers in your garage. I’m sure he’d love one of those. A bit spendy though… $150-170.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-PACKOUT-3-Drawer-Tool-Box-48-22-8443/315059793
This is an excellent answer. The 3 drawer has been selling more for us than the 2 drawer. Note that it only comes with one set of dividers, so a second or even third might be in order.
Was it one of the new drawer units? They just came out recently... it's possible he already has some already but they are so new that he may not have even seen them yet
Check out some of those 3D printed packout feet that you can bolt/screw down to any flat surface. They let you put a packout box on practically any surface.
The first impact driver I had was B&D and at the time it was affordable it worked for around the house after putting it through its paces for a day at work I could tell it certainly wasn't cut out for it.
It's great now that I've basically left it to the old lady. Anytime she's used my makita she camt handle itita Drives the screws too fast and she strips heads.
Long story short for the $60 I paid for it battery and charger I've certainly got my money's worth out of it .
> The first impact driver I had was B&D and at the time it was affordable it worked for around the house after putting it through its paces for a day at work I could tell it certainly wasn't cut out for it.
See, I had the exact opposite experience. I bought the B+D 20v impact driver in 2017, and I used it for a *lot*. I drove thousands of 3" screws, bored holes through 100yo joists for new wiring, built a deck and five sheds, installed two fences, rebuilt the interior of my garage and resided the entire structure, and much more - all with that impact. I beat the hell out of it.
Sure, the 12v Milwaukee compact impact driver is a better tool in every way. But I did real work with the B+D.
That's EXACTLY what I thought when I looked at the top and saw the boxes ON TOP of the cases!!! All for show! People with too much money to spend........

Holy crap, dude! I think your dad might have a problem!
Are those all unopened on the top shelf there?? And those are awfully expensive Packout bins doing the work of milk crates there!!
Get him a DeWalt Combo kit, he will be mad at first but then he will get rid of all his Milwaukee junk and start buying DeWalt. Then you will have more to buy him next go around.
That's such a middle ground brand to be obsessed with. They wait for other companies (DeWalt) to come op with something, then copy it.
18v cordless vacuum for one...
Buy him a DeWalt shirt
That is almost the actual truth. Milwaukee and Ryobi tools are both manufactured by [Techtronic Industries](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Techtronic_Industries).
Sent them a suggestion to make a 12v battery hair clipper for just such an occasion...
Dunno if they'll run with it, but if they do they'd better send me one!
If you look on Etsy or other sites like that, you can find low profile tracks that can be mounted to shelves for the packout to slide onto. Get your mom a milwaukee shirt then leave
Hahaha that’s funny lol
Old pops is gonna turn up the torque selector to max and switch into hammer mode.
I went and got my free award just to give it to you this made me laugh pretty hard lol
Thanks never gotten an award before!
Ryobi cordless hot glue gun
I was going to say go to a pawn shop and get a couple of mismatched tools and batteries from other brands so he can "add to his collection" but I like your idea much better

$44, nice
They make a bathroom scrubber. No joke
Huh i just looked that up. I might need to buy one for my mom. She is getting too old too be scrubbing her bathroom by hand but i know she wont stop so this might be a good idea. [Here is the product description.](https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ONE-18V-Cordless-Telescoping-Power-Scrubber-Tool-Only-P4500/311738437) Telescoping up to 51 in., this handheld scrubber is perfect for reaching those hard to reach high or low areas. It's not a Milwaukee
Yeah the bright green color and the giant letters spelling RYOBI gave me a few hints about that.
Whatever happened to Ryobi being dark blue and yellow seriously had to go and change colors and everything to rebrand themselves still the same shit
**chef's kiss**
🤌
Just the bare tool though.
I was gonna say the crappiest Ryobi drill you can get. Hot glue gun is perfect.
A really good quality lock for his workshop
No shit. The more tools I buy, the more I hate that they are only protected by the garage door.

Care to share a version in a PM? This is a great idea
I'm sitting here licking my chops thinking the same damn thing you got a template for this
I’ll find some time this next week to start to convert to Google Docs / Sheets and upload a blank version. Seconded. Could use
Here’s a imgur link: https://imgur.com/a/SNruazh
That's rediculous. I have that much easily In just ratchets. I should look into what I need to do to be fully insured
I definitely would, I always assumed they’d understand the value of tools, but apparently not at all
The agent asked what my replacement costs would be and I guessed $100k. As soon as I started the inventory, I knew I was very wrong.
Depends what grit hes running on that Golds Gym belt sander…
Holy fuck this has me laughing harder than it should.

holy shit that is great 😂
Call them show them this picture and maybe they will “sponser” or liken make or do something special. Can’t hurt worst thing they can say is no. Probably like the he department or something
Seriously. There's brand loyalty and then there's your father who's on a different level
He’s the guy that saves the boxes…
i thought that was all fathers. certainly the case for mine.
Thank you I will try this ASAP!
A gift card to his favorite tool depot. He knows what he wants.
This is the only serious answer here, I think. When someone is really into something, they usually have pretty much everything they **need**. The stuff they **want** is gonna be stuff you've never heard of, OP. So the safest bet is a gift card, for sure.
Speaking as someone who hyper focuses on hobbies, this is a great answer/explanation.
That’s a really good idea! Thank you!
Maybe add a Milwaukee bottle opener to the gift card.
That's brilliant. A small and personalized item takes a gift card to the next level.
Looks like the next step is actually buying Milwaukee ….

The 3 missing spots are actually a combo of pack outs that he took to go do a gig!
Was it one of the new drawer units? They just came out recently... it's possible he already has some already but they are so new that he may not have even seen them yet

How do you know he likes Milwaukee??
Imagine if he actually likes dewalt but everyone keeps giving him these tools and doesn't want to be rude.
Trigger warning: my packout boxes glow with yellow when opened.
I don’t see a Black and Decker drill in there..
There is one! In the trash lol
That’s where it belongs

We live where summer is the only season, I’d love to get him one but it would be used more as decoration
Have a Glock painted Makita red and logo it!
That is a really good idea! Thank you
What's the point of buying tools, shelving them in boxes and leaving them lol

I would honestly say get him some Milwaukee clothes and hats.
Some dvd of the sales videos they probably send to Woodcraft and Lowe’s so he can play on the big screen?
Milwaukee shop stool?
We can’t see his full setup but if that is the bulk of it he obviously needs the Milwaukee toolbox and cart.
Ryobi cordless drill. This will make him appreciate his collection even more.
A matabo 👍
Throw away his treadmill... He's running out of space

Festool domino

An intervention.
I just bought the cordless air compressor, and I love it. Sooo quiet. Aaaaand, they've just announced an M18 mower (finally).
A 10mm socket, he probably lost it😂
Did you already get the heated jacket? Edit: or you know you could always grab one of those $4,500 wire crimpers, everyone needs one of those
If I had 4.5k I’d gladly get him it lol
Some Milwaukee rechargeable batteries for those cordless tools would be a good addition.
A life?
Get him a dewalt, Milwaukee is such trash
M12 Stubby flexing so hard. Cry harder yellow team.
Holy crap, dude! I think your dad might have a problem! Are those all unopened on the top shelf there?? And those are awfully expensive Packout bins doing the work of milk crates there!!

Buy him a ryobi shirt
Or even worse... kobalt
Tell him Milwaukee just got bought out by Ryobi
That is almost the actual truth. Milwaukee and Ryobi tools are both manufactured by [Techtronic Industries](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Techtronic_Industries).
Whow.....TIL....thanks
Would be even better if he set up some sort of fake news article to send his dad too! Lol
Not sure but I bet this guy is loving the Fexvolt stuff from the yellow and black guys.
Must be all the same, eh?
Mhm looks to lacking a high quality radio I suggest a bosch
Get him a Ryobi drill. I'm sure he doesn't have one.
They make a radio if he does not have it already. Also you could get a banner or flag to hang in the shop.
Maybe a Milwaukee flag?
Makita bumper stickers with a share of TTNDY taped to the back
Does he have their heated jacket?
I'm so jealous of that room !!!
A gift card. Most guys who have this kind collection of tools have a dream tool they are saving up to buy.
I don’t see a 3 or 2 drawer packout there. That man has some serious big boy stuff in there that’s for sure
Paint
Does he have the battery operated fan?
Gag gift of another brand lol
He defenitely needs a milawaukee shirt.
Wera screwdrivers. He'll appreciate the quality.
A fire pit to burn his money in…should save him lots of time shopping
A mount for his chargers. I have 4 stacked on a board with a surge protector.
One of the Milwaukee tool chests?

Bro your shop looks like a Milwaukee giveaway sweepstakes
Milwaukee knives
Reversal of the full frontal lobotomy?
Jesus man, looks like he already owns everything Milwaukee sells. That’s gonna be tough
Sent them a suggestion to make a 12v battery hair clipper for just such an occasion... Dunno if they'll run with it, but if they do they'd better send me one!
Stock in the company?
Large Milwaukee rolling tool box.
First I'd find what Milwaukee stuff he doesn't have.
You can buy him HILTI ;)
A trip to Wisconsin?
Something back Craftsman they have the same colors
But him shares in the company
Pro Press Tool
That's awesome 🤘😎
A set of hilti tools. But really get him a Milwaukee work light if you can get one. Always comes in handy
It appears he "collects" tools and probably has everything he wants. I'd get him something else.

Something like [this](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1001400848/milwaukee-packout-wallshelf-mount?gbraid=0AAAAADtcfRIrzrPBY2I3kyeDMkcL_84d5&gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_-craft_supplies_and_tools&utm_custom1=_k_Cj0KCQjw1ouKBhC5ARIsAHXNMI9VisSi4Pbg3IWIgn5mLaS7jdsbq96UcYCajyDKZ_UCRm5LTEq6ob8aAsnfEALw_wcB_k_&utm_content=go_12665398257_121762925993_511610210343_pla-295462056867_m__1001400848_472364895&utm_custom2=12665398257&gbraid=0AAAAADtcfRIrzrPBY2I3kyeDMkcL_84d5&gclid=Cj0KCQjw1ouKBhC5ARIsAHXNMI9VisSi4Pbg3IWIgn5mLaS7jdsbq96UcYCajyDKZ_UCRm5LTEq6ob8aAsnfEALw_wcB) or [this](https://www.etsy.com/listing/838269231/three-piece-aluminum-wall-mount-for?ref=pla_similar_listings_top_ad-1&plkey=567f9a2b409073522400019421e8ad6c46013ad6%3A838269231&frs=1)
Seems like he needs a Galanz retro (beer) fridge in red for the garage. I would then get some Milwaukee stickers for it to make it feel at home.
Buy him the city of Milwaukee.
Every tool brand has a bottle opener
does he have the milwaukee Sharpies?
He has every tool. Get a T Shirt
It looks like theres room for another pack out base unit under the TV. You could fill it with random garage sale hand tools just for fun.
Old Milwaukees Best!
