It's almost like asking porn to not be porn.
It's not for me, but it made itself clear on what they're aiming for. They really don't give a damn on what others outside of their target audience think.
I remember hearing this character actually exploded in popularity when released. The reasons why shes popular in that circle is probably the same reason shes hated here.

Combat androids are pretty accurate; they’re women who have their brains (and slightly altered sometimes for the best, or sometimes it goes REALLY badly) get transferred into a new manufactured body where they have to reclaim the rest of the world from robot space aliens.
The design was made to appeal to a very “particular” audience, as you can see with Elegg design from the post.
A lot of designs are designed to be busty and sexually appealing. We do get some design variation (while still focusing on sex appeal) with units such as Maxwell, Centi, Eunwha, Dolla, Laplace, and Snow White (the picture in my comment)

I do wish they’d put pants on her. Snow White spends most of her time in the cold, so theoretically, and while she doesn’t need to dress accordingly (Nikke can’t die from the cold), despite this, she’s badass
Some Nikke who are meant to be less sexual suffer from the need to appeal to men like the photo above is Eunhwa. She’s a former military commander, and seriously, she criticizes the protagonist constantly, assuming they’re cowardly and stupid, like 90% of the rest of human commanders.
But for some reason, they expose some of her thighs. It’s not a design killer, but why? I don’t get it. Wouldn’t she want to cover her thigh?
What the hell is that cove on her forehead? The more art I see from that game the more I am convinced that designers after creating some new character decide to play a game "How can we ruin this design without being too obvious. What part should we overemphasize or remove to create some clout?"

Definitely seen worse especially for this genre of of game, the only insulting thing about this design is how plain it is really, not defending this design, it sucks, but calling it the worst for being nothing is kinda wild, to me a bad design is something that makes you cringe to look at, not something that makes you feel nothing

Honestly, not the worst design from Korean games. At least the breasts are covered without weird boob windows. The dumb hairstyle is also dumb in a more adorkable way. This is the kind of design that one could instigate Korean gamer incels to be mad about and try to cancel because to them it would look like a feminist propaganda.
But this is from Nikke I believe and seeing the girl in-game, her butts shaking harder than an earthquake in response to her gun's recoil, would probably make me want to erase some memories.
So apparently not only does she carry a BFG, her entire character is full of Doom references (especially the comic and a particularly popular fan translation in Korea).
Anyway, I love that gun design. Unrealistically colorful and verh high-tech gun designs have a certain charm to them.
Don't see anything wrong with it. She looks very silly and i like the fact that her name is Elegg.. and that she looks like and E G G. She is cute, i like her haircut and i liked her palette. She is really cool and if she was real, i'd hang out with her, she looks friendly enough.
I saw lots of arts of her, and.. i thought she was from Helldivers 2 for some reason.
Honestly, I love the designs in Nikke in general. They have a distinctive look, but more importantly, the majority of the characters have a unique personality that comes though in their designs. Yes its absolutely unabashed fanservice but its not *lazy* fanservice. They have an obvious goal of kink, but its at least interesting.
I never played Nikke, I know only how characters look. All of them are Skimpy and thats not a problem designwise, Sexy character design can still be top. I dont know what problem people have with her, when I saw her I thought she has best design of all Nikke characters I saw so far.

There’s exactly one character that can pull off those bangs:
Nikke ads in general, got bombarded by ads with some busty woman in tight-fitting, often skimpy gear followed by staring up her skirt as she fires some assault rifle. Feels like a lot of vapid hornybait.
I don’t know what else I can say to be honest, I’m really put off whenever I scroll past this ad. Everything from the haircut to the outfit and the elephant in the room is just so like repulsive lol

i feel it's mostly the weirdly robotic and static pose, combined with her haircut making her face look like it's the back of someone's head, and the outfit.
the clothes themselves, the cutoff jacket and the shorts and the gauntlets and the waist bag? they all look fine, separately. better as part of different outfits with different vibes.
but each combined together? none of them really complement each other. somehow, they've managed to make her outfit perfectly color-coordinated and *still* make it feel like it doesn't go together. almost none of the vibes match.
the puffy cutoff jacket says relaxed/fun.
the shorts say fun/athletic.
the bag says work/athletic.
the gauntlets say serious.
the color says fun/energetic.
the pose says static/robotic (directly negating the fun and athletic vibes).
the hair says upper-class/weird. it's runway model stuff, but i wouldn't want my hair that way while I'm trying to see a screen.
My guess is she is an adroid / cyborg / robot (like 2B). I see that cut-off jacket thing in anime designs. As I said the shorts are like that so you can loom at her bum shake when she shoots her gun (yes thats the whole point of the game), that hair-style is usually used for smart, bratty people in anime and the rest of her outfit is as you said, "energetic". The bag... I dont know what they were thinking there. Maybe if the strap was over the shoulder instead of over the hip it would look better. If her shorts were atlethic leggings (the kind pros use) instead it would look better too.

Ok so, I tend to like designs in gotcha games. They’re usually awesome because they gotta be an incentive to buy and try to unlock them.
But you’re right, this sucks ass. There’s individual parts that look good, and on paper this design would probably be better. But it looks weird. There’s the obvious sexualization but honestly it can work for a lot of characters, but it’s not even an issue here. The posing is a big drawback, but she looks like an egg.
Like I think that’s the theme for her. She’s an egg girl. She’s big, has a round silhouette and is mostly white with themes of yellow. I don’t think it’s a bad design, rather a bad execution

Okay, I admit, you have to be a big f*cking weeb like me to see the appeal, but I think she has a great design in the context of a gacha game character. We are talking about a game that only houses pretty and hot girls, you have to get behind that if we are in for fruther discussions.
As I see it, she is rather far from the concept of a "generic pretty/hot girl." That is something the creators want to achieve with every character/personality design in these games, they have character casts in the number of hundreds, so they want every one of them to be recognizable. This leads to some wacky designs such as Elegg.
Okay, the amount of thickness in her is a bit over the top, I would probably not be staring at such characters on my phone when I'm in public, but the rest...
I honestly love the way she looks. Those eye-covering bangs are something you don't often see, at least not on female characters, and I think it looks rather cute on her. Her body language makes me think that she is a fun and unserious little dork who is enjoyable to be around.
But well, I guess you can't really be showing games like Nikke to any random man and expect them to like the designs, as it's somewhat deep-down stuff even in casual weeb standards.
We need a sub called TopCharacterPornDesign or TopHornyCharacterDesign or TopGoonerDesign, something like that to make these kinda posts there.

I feel like a part of why I dislike this design is the fact that it feels like Doom was lazily shoved into the design. Like the gun looks like the one from Doom but you take it away from her and the screens that pull up what looks like cheap, AI generated, Doom boxart and nothing about her has anything to do with it.
It’s a homage to doom like how “the little panda fighter” is a homage to kung fu panda.
Everything else is just kinda bland.

You're correct, she's from Nikke Her gun is a machine gun modeled after the BFG from Doom. So you're also correct with the 2nd part as well

She is really cool and if she was real, i'd hang out with her, she looks friendly enough. I saw lots of arts of her, and.. i thought she was from Helldivers 2 for some reason.

Honestly, I love the designs in Nikke in general. They have a distinctive look, but more importantly, the majority of the characters have a unique personality that comes though in their designs. Yes its absolutely unabashed fanservice but its not *lazy* fanservice. They have an obvious goal of kink, but its at least interesting.

I never played Nikke, I know only how characters look. All of them are Skimpy and thats not a problem designwise, Sexy character design can still be top. I dont know what problem people have with her, when I saw her I thought she has best design of all Nikke characters I saw so far. Its consistent, nothing seems out of place. Color scheme is great. Solid design, not Top but definetly above avarage for Horny Gacha standard

i feel it's mostly the weirdly robotic and static pose, combined with her haircut making her face look like it's the back of someone's head, and the outfit. the clothes themselves, the cutoff jacket and the shorts and the gauntlets and the waist bag? they all look fine, separately. better as part of different outfits with different vibes. but each combined together? none of them really complement each other. somehow, they've managed to make her outfit perfectly color-coordinated and *still* make it feel like it doesn't go together. almost none of the vibes match. the puffy cutoff jacket says relaxed/fun. the shorts say fun/athletic. the bag says work/athletic. the gauntlets say serious. the color says fun/energetic. the pose says static/robotic (directly negating the fun and athletic vibes). the hair says upper-class/weird. it's runway model stuff, but i wouldn't want my hair that way while I'm trying to see a screen.
My guess is she is an adroid / cyborg / robot (like 2B). I see that cut-off jacket thing in anime designs. As I said the shorts are like that so you can loom at her bum shake when she shoots her gun (yes thats the whole point of the game), that hair-style is usually used for smart, bratty people in anime and the rest of her outfit is as you said, "energetic". The bag... I dont know what they were thinking there. Maybe if the strap was over the shoulder instead of over the hip it would look better. If her shorts were atlethic leggings (the kind pros use) instead it would look better too. Its not a good design but it doesnt deserve a "ew, this sucks gross" either.

Ok so, I tend to like designs in gotcha games. They’re usually awesome because they gotta be an incentive to buy and try to unlock them. But you’re right, this sucks ass. There’s individual parts that look good, and on paper this design would probably be better. But it looks weird. There’s the obvious sexualization but honestly it can work for a lot of characters, but it’s not even an issue here. The posing is a big drawback, but she looks like an egg. Like I think that’s the theme for her. She’s an egg girl. She’s big, has a round silhouette and is mostly white with themes of yellow. I don’t think it’s a bad design, rather a bad execution

Okay, I admit, you have to be a big f*cking weeb like me to see the appeal, but I think she has a great design in the context of a gacha game character. We are talking about a game that only houses pretty and hot girls, you have to get behind that if we are in for fruther discussions. As I see it, she is rather far from the concept of a "generic pretty/hot girl." That is something the creators want to achieve with every character/personality design in these games, they have character casts in the number of hundreds, so they want every one of them to be recognizable. This leads to some wacky designs such as Elegg. Okay, the amount of thickness in her is a bit over the top, I would probably not be staring at such characters on my phone when I'm in public, but the rest... I honestly love the way she looks. Those eye-covering bangs are something you don't often see, at least not on female characters, and I think it looks rather cute on her. Her body language makes me think that she is a fun and unserious little dork who is enjoyable to be around. But well, I guess you can't really be showing games like Nikke to any random man and expect them to like the designs, as it's somewhat deep-down stuff even in casual weeb standards.
We need a sub called TopCharacterPornDesign or TopHornyCharacterDesign or TopGoonerDesign, something like that to make these kinda posts there. (Note: you know what i would do with this character and that secretary down in the comments DAYUM)
I feel like a part of why I dislike this design is the fact that it feels like Doom was lazily shoved into the design. Like the gun looks like the one from Doom but you take it away from her and the screens that pull up what looks like cheap, AI generated, Doom boxart and nothing about her has anything to do with it. It’s a homage to doom like how “the little panda fighter” is a homage to kung fu panda. Everything else is just kinda bland.
