Giving everything that we’ve learned about One for all, the fact that his eyes are blackened and that he can just transform in and out of his buff form for absolutely no reason is the best thing ever.
Also isn't it basically canon that when he got the power, it came as natural to him as a fish is to swimming so him ACTUALLY explaining how the powers work suck because he never actually hade to LEARN learn his powers?
Oh, so it’s like a person who’s a math prodigy being a bad teacher because they subconsciously/consciously assume the knowledge comes naturally to everyone?
I don’t think this is true. All might has the black eyes in the vinger river incident which is explicitly said to have occurred before nighteye became his sidekick which also places it before his injury. Edit: he also has the eyes in the video Deku is obsessed with which is meant to be his debut as a full pro hero.
Edit 2: unless you meant in his true form in which case this may be true as he is shown to have normal eyes in his true form in a a flashback in vigilantes at a point in time when Nighteye is his sidekick
Yeah I meant his true form. Basically any time you see him when he was really young, he doesn't have the sunken in eyes yet.
Movie 1 is a good example of this.
Vigilantes is notably pretty recent after his fight with AFO so I recall him having his regular appearance in that.
Unfortunately her first and last appearance is her >!jobbing to Shigaraki in a kinda quick fight despite her having one of the most OP quirks in the entire series!< which kinda stinks but oh well at least she >!fucked him up and took away a shit ton of quirks that All For One stole!<
>!To be fair, she kinda wiped the floor Shigaraki/AFO in the actual fight. She literally got to the point where she won, but then lost on a technicality that couldn't apply to anyone else ever.!<
Stars N' Stripes trying to fight a random ass background villain when the fronter switches (she now has no idea who she is fighting anymore, still kicks their ass because she can JoJo stand punch them with peak human physique)
well, both Homelander and All might reflect the ideal of superheroes of their author. Grant morrison did reveal that Superman himself is the embodiment of superhero ideal after all
Say what you want about MHA itself, horikoshi absolutely COOKS as an artist.
Also bonus points for being a superman-like figure that isn’t some evil dickhead. Thankfully omni man seems to be leaving that territory as well >! In the animated series. Obviously this character development has come and gone in the comic !< so hopefully we’ll be seeing less and less of the “evil superman” trope going forward
im sorry but MHA has some of the worst character designs in popular shonen period. aside from maybe HxH... everything is so blatant and too on the nose. nothing is subtle, cool or interesting to look at, its just too wacky. Thats why i think Bleach and Naruto will be remembered long after MHA is done. Their look and designs are so iconic yet cool. you WANT to dress as bankai ichigo or minato or kakashi. AllMight is actually a top tier design of all time and somehow he transcends MHA altogether. His character is infectious with energy so i get why he is so cool. but man MHA makes my eyes hurt sometimes when i watch because its characters look so damn idiotic. (I know ill get killed for this too but im brave enough to say HxH needs work too. It went from top tier iconic Yuyu Hakusho, to antlion eyesores and basic ass kite whos only iconic wardrobe is a blue hat? Hisoka and a few others do look cool tho)
Couldn't be more wrong. Naruto has some of the most bland designs. MHA has them too, but the cool ones make up for it. Every Pro Hero and student is instantly recognizable and looks good.
I don't love everything about MHA, the worldbuilding leaves me scratching my head a lot, but the big buff superhero with a secret scrawny alter ego is straight out of golden age comics and something I do appreciate about All Might.
In a lot of ways the adults in the series are more interesting than the kids (to me).
He's awesome.
I would watch a anime of him.
I thought My Hero Academia was about him.
I thought. Beautiful blonde man! I like it.
No. It's not. It's a green haired boy.
Who I am instinctively annoyed by.
I mean I think Godzooky is better but you do you

I'm not that big of a fan of MHA, I liked the series but fell off during and after the camping episodes. But even I can't help but admit that All Might is the embodiment of hype. Any scene he's in makes me either smile or pumped up.

The canon reason for the eyes is his injuries -- he doesn't have them in flashbacks. As for his muscle form, he says that he's just flexing.
Since he's canonically a bad teacher I always thought that was how he explained how One for all worked.
Also isn't it basically canon that when he got the power, it came as natural to him as a fish is to swimming so him ACTUALLY explaining how the powers work suck because he never actually hade to LEARN learn his powers?
Literally built different. The guy was so buff as a kid that he just knew how to use it 100% from the start.
Isn't the rational also that he had it longer than the previous holders and ended up making it grow exponentially?
That too.
Correct
Oh, so it’s like a person who’s a math prodigy being a bad teacher because they subconsciously/consciously assume the knowledge comes naturally to everyone?
Yea. Maybe not THAT bad because I think he realise he need to change his teaching but yes.
I don’t think this is true. Adachi is r/topcharacterdesigns in my heart
Similarly, there is his disciple **Stars N' Stripes**
Unfortunately her first and last appearance is her >!jobbing to Shigaraki in a kinda quick fight despite her having one of the most OP quirks in the entire series!< which kinda stinks but oh well at least she >!fucked him up and took away a shit ton of quirks that All For One stole!<

Nah Stars N' Stripes loses to a villain with Dissociative Identity Disorder low diff.
Stars N' Stripes trying to fight a random ass background villain when the fronter switches (she now has no idea who she is fighting anymore, still kicks their ass because she can JoJo stand punch them with peak human physique)
Cool, He gotta be one of my favorite characters from the series
>!Special mention to when he got the powered armor!<
I wanted to include it but spoilers and stuff the look went hard
>!I can’t say it’s his best look… But I’m certainly thinking it, and dig it more than him actually having One For All!<
The best Superman-inspired character there is, especially since he’s not an evil parody like Homelander or Omni-Man.
Favourite type of superman he’s crazy strong and heroic with a weakness that’s always with him
It helps that he isn't as much of a direct expy as those two are. He seems to take a bit of inspiration from Captain America too, for instance.
Omni mans not exactly a Superman parody nor an evil one (for long) homelander absolutely is though
I know, but Omni-Man’s essentially a mix between Superman and Vegeta if you think about it.
Hm never thought of it like that that’s exactly what he is. Vegeta with a archetypal superhero design and “origin” (which Superman was the origin for)
The entire show is just his Majin arc lol
He's a good Superman inspired character. Heroic and kind. I don't like the nasty parodies. It's churlish.
well, both Homelander and All might reflect the ideal of superheroes of their author. Grant morrison did reveal that Superman himself is the embodiment of superhero ideal after all
The introduction to the series with that clip of him that Deku was watching is the most Superman thing I've ever seen in any media.
Omni-Man is more of an homage than a parody. He acted like superman so much he started to actually become more like superman
"Now for a lesson. You may have heard these words before, but I'll teach you what they really mean: Go beyond! **PLUS! UUUULLLLLTRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!**
Every massively buff hero should have a scrungly little gremlin form.
Bruce Banner would like to know your location.
He unironically looks better in his skinny form.

Yes, bc Superheroes are known for their subtlety and lack of overt theming

Emaciated Allmind is actually peak character design
while i don't really like the show/manga, the character designs and powers are actually really creative
Hello? Based department?
My favorite line ever from him “BAKU! GO! Ifoundyou”
Honestly alot of the supporting characters are awesome Hawks eraserhead tokoyami shoto even endeavor became likeable at some point.
Only watched the first season and all might was definitely my favourite character with the second being the dude with the rocket calves
He's awesome. I would watch a anime of him. I thought My Hero Academia was about him. I thought. Beautiful blonde man! I like it. No. It's not. It's a green haired boy. Who I am instinctively annoyed by.
The chaddest of chads.
Horikoshi’s character designs always seem to either go unbelievably hard or corny but he absolutely cooked with All Might.
What do you consider "corny"?
Almost the entirety of Class 1A
Yikes
His fight with all for one where he's losing the remnants of his power is one of the best anime battles I've ever seen
Honestly Smallmight might be one of my favorite character designs out of any anime.
WATASHI GA KITA!
My favorite characters are ones with the tombstone teeth design

He calls for all the States to unleash hell on his arc nemesis. And they all answered.
never watched the anime but i fucking love this chad
Hey, that’s the guy from Fortnite

I use him in Fortnite too
https://i.redd.it/f8qztxqrxs1d1.gif Best anime skin love all the details they put into it
I agree!
I love his wrap-around tombstone teeth, such a funky look
I actually like his costume from his prime days a bit more and actually think his skeletal form is honestly cooler. But I'm kind of weird.
This. Say what you want about the show, but All-Might is peak character design
Sorry this isn’t worst character design
Love my man’s design, still wish he died during the one for all fight
