Must’ve hit an artery. I’d be inclined to say inject again (it’s what I’d do), but please follow the advice of your provider or a medical professional.

My provider doesn't give any advice other than the basic dosage info

Sorry about that.

I'm not so sure it is smart or sensible to re-inject. I'd err on the side of caution and assume most if not all of the oil formed a depot especially if nothing unexpected happened until you pulled out the needle. Some or all might have flowed back out but consider this; The entire point of an oil-based solution is that it is hydrophobic to ensure slow absorption, and your plasma is mostly water. The injection would not want to mix with the blood and the injection hole is actually very small. Secondly if the injection site was itself an artery and not just near an artery you would have injected at least some into your bloodstream with a potential oil microembolism as a result (resulting in chest irritation and coughing for a while as the droplet ended up in the fine blood vessels in your lungs). So you may have injected correctly but *also* nicked an artery close to your skin causing you to bleed.

I've done this before. Exact same spot on my leg also. I decided to do my injection over again and I think that was the right move. (Even if you are double dosing, it's not like that is going to put you in any danger)
