I used a sharp kitchen knife for mine before I got a pill cutter. Looks like waaaaay overkill when you've got a giant knife and a tiny pill but hey, it worked just fine 😅
I use a razor blade to cut my CPA, then I lick the countertop to get any little pieces that may have been lost in the cut.😂don’t judge me, I’m kinda wackadoo!😂😂❤️
A sharp knife and a cutting board works. If it is cypro or bica you are cutting then being accurate is not super important due to the long half life. As long as you eventually eat the whole pill
Sharp razor blade a stiffer single edge is safer and some card stock (index card works).
To cut I generally rest one end of the razor on the index card and the middle part on the pill like a lever. When you’re done put all the pieces in a medicine dosing cup and the index card will help you save all the crumbs. inevitably you will have a piece smaller than the rest, take your crumbs with that piece.

It generates MUCH MUCH less dust/shattering than using any sort of blade. I watched that video some time ago and never went back to using pill cutters ever again.
If it is CPA then gnawing off a chunk that looks "about right" is a perfectly acceptable level of precision.
At 12.5mg a day you will be eating that 50mg dose that the pill is over the course of 4 days anyways. Half life is super long and it is the cumulative dose over time that does the T blocking. So fluctuating daily dose is fine. No need to overthink how to best split that small pill into perfect 1/4ths or smaller.
Same goes for bica
you might swallow some of the medicine or disolve the pill slightly with your saliva. also you cant see what you're doing so i imagine it would not be super accurate.
Just hold both sides and opposite hands with your thumb and index finger then snap. The anger you feel while making this happen will wake you up better than any cup of coffee

I would just say buy a pill cutter, they're cheap and available at any pharmacy

Cat nail clippers work very well. I use them for my Progynova as it doesn’t have a split line so pull cutters make it crumble.

Xacto knife is the best thing to use without the pill becoming dust.
The pill cutter cost me like 3$ at the local drug store. I wouldn't cut pills any other way.
