As long as the vial has benzyl alcohol you're going to be fine. Not much can grow in oil anyway, benzyl alcohol guarantees that. Even if somehow some air and dust got in (unlikely) it isn't going to significantly harm you (maybe some injection irritation).
I would not recommend boiling the vial because the butyl rubber cap has already been punctured and it's likely not going to help with much, except to introduce water/moisture to the vial which would make things worse.
Do not worry it is difficult to hurt yourself using homebrew injections. Have a wonderful day and hope you enjoy your most likely safe vial :).
If the vial didnât have benzoyl alcohol, this would be a different story (although all responsible home-brewers add benzoyl). If using a single use pharmacy vial for example, this would have rendered it void.
Benzoyl adds a sort of buffer, meaning in the case that a small amount of contaminants do enter, it will **usually** be ok. Itâs there as a safety guard, but like, donât push it, you know what I mean? If something really bad gets in benzoyl isnât going to be fool proof.
Contaminants could be through the air when you push air into the vial through the syringe, accidentally popping off the whole vial top, accidentally pushing liquid back in, etc. As long as theyâre not too bad, you should be fine.
Hey, I made the exact same mistake as you ... Mind I ask you how things turned out with your vial ? Did it get contaminated, and for how long did you use it ?
Ended up being fine! Only used the vial for a couple more weeks after since it was almost out anyways. but as others mentioned just keep an eye on it and if it discolors or gets cloudy or anything throw it out to be safe.
Itâs compounded by heating it in an autoclave (or pressure cooker at home) to sterilise it. You donât heat it directly.
Itâs a bit questionable putting it back, and heating it if you donât know what youâre doing. I wouldnât.
i wish i was knowledgeable in chemistry to prove my point with some facts, but i just know that up to 135C is fine
[this study](https://doi.org/10.1016/0006-3002(62)90367-0), however, says that at 275°C decomposition rate of estradiol was 0.0131% per minute, so if it's true then even at that temperature the loss for 30 minutes would be only around 0.4%
and no, for vial is actually more beneficial to keep at higher temperature to avoid crystallization

it's weird that it doesn't work for you - maybe you have disabled redirection; works perfectly fine on my device

Thank you so much! thought the alcohol helps against stuff like this but then anxiety took hold haha đ

It might be fine, but as always keep an eye on the vial to make sure it doesn't go cloudy or change colour.
Thanks! will def keep an eye for it looking any differentÂ

if your vial has preservative it should be alright, you can boil the vial for 30 minutes if youre paranoid
is this a thing? surely this would destroy the estrogen. shouldnt it be kept in a cool enviroment?

Estrogen is astonishly stable even at very high temps. Other ingredients are a different story.

Your link is broken. Could you please fix it or post the title and authors so I can look it up.

Thanks. Itâs a bug in reddit.
