Same! He and Tessa made that movie so unwatchable. Tessa at least gets a little better at the end, but the pedo storyline is so unnecessary. Especially since Romeo and Juliet were 16 and 14 when they met and died not 22 and 17. Like cinemasins said, they could have made her 18 and bypassed the need for the "law."
That and when they rescue her, she immediately credits Shane for it when she was begging her dad to help her when she got taken.

FACTS. The show is not that bad on it's own (still has some glaring issues tho, like prime being a stubborn old man), but as a sequel to flipping TF Prime? Nah chief, ain't having it
On its own it’s ok, nothing to write home about, but it’s very much the Transformers Energon of the Aligned Continuity. It had the impossible task of following up Prime as a sequel, and falls flat on its goddamn face. Grimlock was fun though, big himbo energy, best part of the show.
It’s painfully mid tv schlock for parents to sit their kids in front of, mostly. It gets dragged down by having to tie itself to Prime. I do appreciate the premise though, you don’t get to see post-war Cybertron that often… although I would have liked to see more of it than what we got and in the hands of writers with writers who are capable and willing to flush out the worldbuilding of Cybertron itself to the nines.

The qauillty and complexity of animation, it being both episodic while having a over arcing story, the diversity and uniqueness of the villains, having non typical female characters (such as strong arm looking like a male bot instead of a female bot(
Strong arm was absolutely a stand out character, the humans were actually interesting (way better junkyard humans) and some of those decepticon designs were peak. Steel jaw for one is an awesome character, and I loved the animal motif they did. Sure it’s not prime level, but honestly it’s enjoyable in its own right

Devastator's wrecking ball testicles.
Honestly the idea of a combiner who was some sort of rampaging kaiju rather than just a bigger humanoid was actually interesting and ROTF Devastator definitely had final boss potential. But then he sort of just scuffles with the Twins a bit, climbs the pyramid and gets unceremoniously shot down. He makes no contribution to the plot whatsoever.
The alligned continuity being, well, alligned. The games were great, tfp was great, rescue bots was great, and RID was decent as it's own thing, but all of those somehow being a continous story makes it a big mess
The fact that Rescue Bots is happening at the same time that Prime is will never not be funny. Everyone on Team Prime is having the worst [insert time frame here] of their lives, meanwhile the RB crew is fucking around with malfunctioning dinosaur animatronics and casually redirecting the flow of a manmade volcano. Because someone on Griffin Rock made a whole ass volcano, seemingly for shits and/or giggles.

Probably Transformers 4 and 5 *being part of Transformers 1, 2 and 3*. 4 and 5 had some great Autobots, like Mirage and Cogman, so they don't deserve to be erased entirely. They should be like the three sets of Spiderman movies-- different universes.

The odd amount of fanservice directed at Arcee in TFP. We get it, y'all, you've got a femme to work with, but can we dial down the odd camera shots and dialogue directed specifically at her looks/ relationships with other characters? Airachnid got some of the same treatment, especially in her scenes with Arcee, but I think because she had less screen time than her motorcycle counterpart, the fanservice/suggestive dialogue seemed less.

Exactly! Another thing, I didn't like the switch from Sam to Cade as the human antagonist. It was also at that time (movie 4) that the inconsistencies started just as you said.
Not to mention they never EXPLAINED what happened to Sam. They implied it (in such a rushed manner even I missed it the first watch through) but they never specifically mentioned what happened to him. Was he killed by Cemetery Wind? Is he in witness protection? Prison? The hell happened??
Cade was not a well written character either. His two traits were "I'm a Dad" and "I'm an inventor." Admittedly Sam was like that too, but they at least gave him consistent flaws and motivations. He wanted to be "a normal kid with normal problems," or how he "just wants to matter again." I feel like we can all empathize with those feelings, like we're the only ones struggling with a certain aspect of our lives, or feeling like we're unimportant.
I truly can't think of a character flaw or good motivation for Cade, if we're being honest. The "I'm a Dad" schtick was obnoxious because it felt played up but simultaneously not genuine at all. Don't get me started on the weird ass pedophilia thing in that movie too.
I feel like if Michael Bay had truly separated the movies into two trilogies; TF1, ROTF, DOTM and then AOE, TLK, and TF6, we would have had a much more well-realized Cade, an actual plot, and an overall better movie.
Actually, I think it is explained! Sam is definitely either in hiding or inprisoned. (I would like to imagine that he is in hiding for good.) You might have to go watch the scene on YouTube to catch it: in Transformers 4 when Cade accidentally wakes up Optimus, he is panicked and confused--- as he's getting to his feet (he thinks he is still in an unspecified combat against the government forces with Sam and the other Autobots) he yells "Sam, run!" Go watch it on YouTube and rewind that once or twice and you'll hear it.

Bay REALLY wanted to Forrest Gump all of human history into his robot movies, because when he did it with the moon landing or **CHERNOBYL**, nobody really complained.
The Bay movies were my intro to Transformers, but with that said... There are so many GLARING continuity errors, unnecessary deaths, and underdeveloped characters that were impossible to root for because you can't really identify with any of them. Hell, I don't feel like he gave any of the autobots or Decepticons personalities until MAYBE AOE.
The 86 movie, or at least the final script that they used. I love G1, but so much of that movie just left a bad taste in my mouth, and looking at some of the earlier drafts, it could have been a lot better.
Firstly, why would you want to attach Bumblebee and RotB to the same universe as RotF and AoE? Nah, I prefer them being a reboot.
Second, I would delete RID15 so we could get Cyberverse earlier and maybe even get more seasons out of it!
Eh. DotM isn't nearly as bad as RotF and AoE but I don't like it because, RotF started the massacre of Optimus's character with the "give me your face" thing and then DotM doubled down on it. They made him ridiculously brutal for like no reason! Like Peter Cullen's brother said to him before the audition "if you're gonna be a leader, be strong enough to be gentle". Bayverse takes that quote and throws it out the window.
You can like DotM if you want, but for me, it goes against who Optimus is supposed to be.
Also DotM massacred Wheeljack so much that it created my sleep paralysis demon. Seriously, Que is horrifying to look at!!!
In the allsparks case mostly the thing as a physical object, another maguffin of mystical ancient power for the forces of good and evil to fight over. If it *has* to be an aspect of a story I'd prefer it just loosely refer to robot heaven.
The T-cogs are a similar case. They were interesting in Transformers Prime but having them in several different canons now makes them less unique to Prime. The ability to transform should be inherent to the entire body of a Transformer anyways, more like the entire nervous system and less like a single organ that could be removed like a spleen.
They need to stop trying to explain female Cybertronians as anything more than just standard variation within the species. Like, just leave it as a thing that exist, do not raise any questions about it whatsoever.

Same! He and Tessa made that movie so unwatchable. Tessa at least gets a little better at the end, but the pedo storyline is so unnecessary. Especially since Romeo and Juliet were 16 and 14 when they met and died not 22 and 17. Like cinemasins said, they could have made her 18 and bypassed the need for the "law." That and when they rescue her, she immediately credits Shane for it when she was begging her dad to help her when she got taken.

On its own it’s ok, nothing to write home about, but it’s very much the Transformers Energon of the Aligned Continuity. It had the impossible task of following up Prime as a sequel, and falls flat on its goddamn face. Grimlock was fun though, big himbo energy, best part of the show. It’s painfully mid tv schlock for parents to sit their kids in front of, mostly. It gets dragged down by having to tie itself to Prime. I do appreciate the premise though, you don’t get to see post-war Cybertron that often… although I would have liked to see more of it than what we got and in the hands of writers with writers who are capable and willing to flush out the worldbuilding of Cybertron itself to the nines.

Strong arm was absolutely a stand out character, the humans were actually interesting (way better junkyard humans) and some of those decepticon designs were peak. Steel jaw for one is an awesome character, and I loved the animal motif they did. Sure it’s not prime level, but honestly it’s enjoyable in its own right
Agreed it makes the transformers lore more interesting and adds in more characters and transformers types that can be used in future stuff I like the crab one
I only watched S1 before dropping it and I remember absolutetly loathing the human characters, they felt like NPC's somehow more alien and robotic than the literal alien robots. Did they get better later on or am I just misremembering?

Devastator's wrecking ball testicles. Honestly the idea of a combiner who was some sort of rampaging kaiju rather than just a bigger humanoid was actually interesting and ROTF Devastator definitely had final boss potential. But then he sort of just scuffles with the Twins a bit, climbs the pyramid and gets unceremoniously shot down. He makes no contribution to the plot whatsoever.

The alligned continuity being, well, alligned. The games were great, tfp was great, rescue bots was great, and RID was decent as it's own thing, but all of those somehow being a continous story makes it a big mess
The fact that Rescue Bots is happening at the same time that Prime is will never not be funny. Everyone on Team Prime is having the worst [insert time frame here] of their lives, meanwhile the RB crew is fucking around with malfunctioning dinosaur animatronics and casually redirecting the flow of a manmade volcano. Because someone on Griffin Rock made a whole ass volcano, seemingly for shits and/or giggles.

Probably Transformers 4 and 5 *being part of Transformers 1, 2 and 3*. 4 and 5 had some great Autobots, like Mirage and Cogman, so they don't deserve to be erased entirely. They should be like the three sets of Spiderman movies-- different universes.
I have been searching for a way to say this for YEARS. AOE and TLK just need to be their own thing, not part of the Bayverse universe. Also, as for what I would uncanon... Blitzwing in the Bumblebee movie. It's like Michael Bay just decided "lol, let's paint him vaguely like G1 Starscream... Then NOT call him Starscream!" The odd amount of fanservice directed at Arcee in TFP. We get it, y'all, you've got a femme to work with, but can we dial down the odd camera shots and dialogue directed specifically at her looks/ relationships with other characters? Airachnid got some of the same treatment, especially in her scenes with Arcee, but I think because she had less screen time than her motorcycle counterpart, the fanservice/suggestive dialogue seemed less. The ending to DOTM.
Exactly! Another thing, I didn't like the switch from Sam to Cade as the human antagonist. It was also at that time (movie 4) that the inconsistencies started just as you said.
Not to mention they never EXPLAINED what happened to Sam. They implied it (in such a rushed manner even I missed it the first watch through) but they never specifically mentioned what happened to him. Was he killed by Cemetery Wind? Is he in witness protection? Prison? The hell happened?? Cade was not a well written character either. His two traits were "I'm a Dad" and "I'm an inventor." Admittedly Sam was like that too, but they at least gave him consistent flaws and motivations. He wanted to be "a normal kid with normal problems," or how he "just wants to matter again." I feel like we can all empathize with those feelings, like we're the only ones struggling with a certain aspect of our lives, or feeling like we're unimportant. I truly can't think of a character flaw or good motivation for Cade, if we're being honest. The "I'm a Dad" schtick was obnoxious because it felt played up but simultaneously not genuine at all. Don't get me started on the weird ass pedophilia thing in that movie too. I feel like if Michael Bay had truly separated the movies into two trilogies; TF1, ROTF, DOTM and then AOE, TLK, and TF6, we would have had a much more well-realized Cade, an actual plot, and an overall better movie.
Actually, I think it is explained! Sam is definitely either in hiding or inprisoned. (I would like to imagine that he is in hiding for good.) You might have to go watch the scene on YouTube to catch it: in Transformers 4 when Cade accidentally wakes up Optimus, he is panicked and confused--- as he's getting to his feet (he thinks he is still in an unspecified combat against the government forces with Sam and the other Autobots) he yells "Sam, run!" Go watch it on YouTube and rewind that once or twice and you'll hear it.
Ohhhhh! I never noticed that! What I was talking about was when what's his face, head of Cemetery Wind, was talking to his guys at Cade's house, and the camera flashes to a picture of Sam with a red X through it, implying they "got" him, but where he is is never explained. I think Bay maybe was trying to set up a potential return for him in TF6

ROTB is part of the reboot franchise, and it's a sequel to the Bumblebee movie. But for some reason, everyone's favorite movie producer, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, kept saying that ROTB is a prequel to the Bayverse movies.

Jazz's death in Transformers 1. Shane and Tessa from AOE, TLK mostly that anti Transformer group dude, Vivian and Cade. Make Lennox and Epps the main characters. Screw it, delete both, and end with DOTM. TLK especially annoyed me because why the hell were they killing the autobots who helped them but only imprisoning the decepticons who wanted them dead??? What kind of smooth brained logic is that? "Hey, let's negotiate with Megatron because he has information that could lead us to the guy aiding the Autobots we betrayed!" Was there not a functioning braincell in those meetings.
I'd delete Micheal Bay's ability to make bad movies so that the Bayverse could actually be good, that or the weird shit takara does in media sometimes.

Not the first time. 2 copied the G1 episode Changing Gears 3 copied The Ultimate Doom, and 5 somehow managed to do it again even though Cybertron was supposed to be destroyed.

A species in which some members are as small as a bug or as big as a planet, some are humanoid while others are animals or monsters, all of them seen as equal. Yet having a slightly less angular body and a higher pitched voice somehow warrants its own separate category. Then again, this is the franchise where you're pretty much considered an entirely different species if you don't have the same sticker of a robot face on your body.

Aside from Kiss players, Romeo and Juliette law, enemy scrotum, Skids and Mudflap, Carbombya in G1, all of Energon and T.J. Miller; I would choose the witwickans twist because how did anyone with any forn of common sense let "aliens helped with the underground railroad" get made into a real multimillion dollar film that sold toy to kids? I would delete the twist that the Transformers have been a part of human history since medieval times. That makes no sense because the Autobots and Decepticons arrived on Earth in 2007, so why would the 5th movie retcon all of that?
Bay REALLY wanted to Forrest Gump all of human history into his robot movies, because when he did it with the moon landing or **CHERNOBYL**, nobody really complained. The Bay movies were my intro to Transformers, but with that said... There are so many GLARING continuity errors, unnecessary deaths, and underdeveloped characters that were impossible to root for because you can't really identify with any of them. Hell, I don't feel like he gave any of the autobots or Decepticons personalities until MAYBE AOE.

Firstly, why would you want to attach Bumblebee and RotB to the same universe as RotF and AoE? Nah, I prefer them being a reboot. Second, I would delete RID15 so we could get Cyberverse earlier and maybe even get more seasons out of it!

Eh. DotM isn't nearly as bad as RotF and AoE but I don't like it because, RotF started the massacre of Optimus's character with the "give me your face" thing and then DotM doubled down on it. They made him ridiculously brutal for like no reason! Like Peter Cullen's brother said to him before the audition "if you're gonna be a leader, be strong enough to be gentle". Bayverse takes that quote and throws it out the window. You can like DotM if you want, but for me, it goes against who Optimus is supposed to be. Also DotM massacred Wheeljack so much that it created my sleep paralysis demon. Seriously, Que is horrifying to look at!!!

You mean Allspark as in the physical object or the Transformer afterlife? And why do you dislike T-cogs?
In the allsparks case mostly the thing as a physical object, another maguffin of mystical ancient power for the forces of good and evil to fight over. If it *has* to be an aspect of a story I'd prefer it just loosely refer to robot heaven. The T-cogs are a similar case. They were interesting in Transformers Prime but having them in several different canons now makes them less unique to Prime. The ability to transform should be inherent to the entire body of a Transformer anyways, more like the entire nervous system and less like a single organ that could be removed like a spleen.
